Career / Re: Bsc In Computer Science, Is It Still A Lucrative Degree? by WinterEagle: 3:27am On Jul 27, 2021
Xpol:
please what can you say about IT(BSc)
Any field that intersects in a way with computer science sells. The onus lies on you to develop yourself via free materials online to be at least good in data structure and algorithm if you would be interested in a technical career path down the lane. If you have people skills and do not want to code for a living, then look towards a career in IT leadership, product management, business analysis, scrum lead etc. The only drawback here is you would need to look for a way to set yourself apart from the crowd here. All the best.

I see alot of comment and I shake my head. Only if you know the worth of that degree in the WEST. That degree was my ticket to relocate out of Nigeria. After settling down here, I tried to talk all my siblings into taking a CS degree but they really do not understand me because they can't see what I see and have seen. I currently work as a software engineer outside nigeria. While others are lamenting about being unable to get jobs after graduation here in Canada, I had multiple offers before graduation. And within two years, I had worked for very big brands in Canada. If you have a CS degree regardless of where you get it from, the language is universal. Its a degree you can have from Nigeria or anywhere else without the need to take any conversion exam of any sort. That degree is a goldmine. As long as you can at least code averagely, the sky is the limit.

Health / Re: I Have Been Diagnosed With Bronchitis And Pneumonia (Photos) by WinterEagle: 12:23pm On May 07, 2021
For nearly 6 months, i was down with bronchitis. Sadly it had no cure and doctor said it goes away on it's own. I was given steroids when the cough became unbearable with shortness of breathe. However I used natural remedies such as tumeric and ginger, lime and honey tea for over 6 months. It does provide a lot of relieve and it could enhance your immune system overall and help you recover quickly.

For the ginger, tumeric, garlic mixture, all you meed to do is blend them together and extract the juice. Boil the about 5 mins and consume everyday. For the lime honey mixture, squeeze fresh lime , add hot water and honey. Drink as well. Goodluck on your way to recovery. Also try to stay away from dusty environments. You could get a good air purifier.
Politics / Re: Massive EndSARS Protest In Toronto, Canada By Nigerians (Video) by WinterEagle: 8:46am On Oct 18, 2020
As of last election, I remembered vividly that we had quite a lot of young people on the ballot. From the likes of Sowore, Banky W amongst several other young competent candidates. These same folks protesting today are the same set of people who made fun of these young contestants. They made spiteful remarks that i dont even want to remember. They had alternatives at that point, yet voluntarily campaigned and elected a man who isn't sure of his age. If after going through all the rigour of these protests and still vote Apc or Pdp in 2023, guess who the jokes is on?
