Apostle Johnson Suleiman is not the same as Apostle Joshua Selman.

Melagros:
COMRADES, Apostle Selman is an arse licker, he is seeking contract from Tinubu that is why he made this assertion
Have the prices of goods and services come down? Even after the Naira continues going up for more than a month now

Car Talk / Re: List Of 24 Cars You Should Never Buy By Nigerian Twitter User (Photos) by wiseguy(m): 2:31pm On Aug 22, 2019
mu2sa2:
Unfortunately most naija people hardly do any research before buying used cars. A person would just tell a car dealer to get him a "neat, grade 1 tokumbo direct", without bothering to do even simple Vin check on the car. Even on YouTube you will see car gurus like scotty Kilmer giving useful car tips, but naija people wont give a damn. I know a man who bought Nissan Murano jeep and never enjoyed that car at all. I dont know the millions he wasted on the damn thing, but he wouldn't have bought it in the first place if he had done a little research. From the agony the man went through, I almost concluded that Nissan Murano must be among the worst cars ever made. Later I got to know that the issue with nissan murano had to do with the problematic CVT transmission. Infact because of the issue with the transmission nissan discontinued murano model, but people were ignorantly buying its tokumbo here as graded.

I own a Murano and have been using it for the past 6 years. Like you stated, the problem with the CVT is people using ordinary transmission oil. Murano uses NS2 Transmission oil which very much expensive and many people are ignorant of it or avoids it because of the cost.
Once you maintain your gearbox with the right transmission oil, you have no problem. However, I heard from my mechanic some time that some people now change the gearbox with that of Nissan Maxima.

All these codes on only one car or are we talking about two cars here grin kindly post the description to the codes. Has the ecu been changed that he wants to programme the ecu
Almost all the codes are saying the same thing pointing at the throttle/pedal sensor. One is pointing at the camshaft sensor but that has been changed. The ECU was not changed but the mechanic did some work on the car like changing the pulley and crankshaft seal before the incident. When the mechanic finished the car started well but after some time could not throttle. So the suggestion to reprogram came up. But the programmer now says he can't communicate with the ECU and therefore the ECU is bad.

The scan tool was able to pull out errors but when he connected two other devices that looked like computers to program the ECU, he got a communication failure message.
The codes are:

P1229
P0223
P0123
P2135
P1800

Car Talk / Nissan Murano 2003 Won't Throttle by wiseguy(m): 9:21am On Dec 31, 2017
Hello Nairalanders, I have a problem with my murano. The car starts and revs fine but won't throttle even when you pedal all the way down. The code suggests it is either the injector head or pedal position sensor. I was asked to reprogram first to see if it will correct the problem but the programmer said he couldn't communicate with the ECU after trying with three different equipments and then concluded that the brainbox is dead and will need to be changed. My dilemma is if it is the brainbox, how come it's starting very well and running except that you can't throttle the car. Any ideas, suggestions or solutions is welcomed. Thanks.

Religion / Re: What Do You Do When Your Mum Is A Witch by wiseguy(m): 2:23pm On Nov 26, 2017
It's appalling how people believe there are witches but will never believe it could be their mother. So, whose mother is the witches? Are we saying witches don't have children anymore? Again, that your mother is a witch does not mean she's out to harm you. She might have even joined the witchcraft just to protect you. But that doesn't make it right and anything unnatural has repercussions. And the repercussions may be on her children especially if she had in the course of protecting her own or wanting her own
children to be the best, harmed other people's children. In a nutshell, anybody can be a witch including your mother.

TV/Movies / Re: Bright Echefu Ikechukwu, The Owner Of TSTV (Profile, Photos) by wiseguy(m): 9:24am On Oct 03, 2017
jnwankwo:
Another MMM Scam. Everybody beware.

These TSTV guys are actually reckless. I am really surprised that they brought the minister into this.
I believe that this is another MMM. Buyers beware. This is based on the following:
1. Bein sports acquired the EPL, Champions League and Laliga only for MENA (Middle East and North Africa). They do not have the right for Nigeria. DSTV owns the rights for Nigeria till 2019. You cannot give what you do not have. When a new service is launched, you have to wait for the next bidding round to have a shot at acquiring the rights. You cannot jump in the middle and start showing it. Things are not done that way in the PayTV world.

2.
A lot of channels listed like CNN, National Geographic, Discovery etc were acquired by DSTV on an exclusive basis for DTH in sub-saharan Africa by DSTV. Channels like Star Movies, MBC2, etc are only cleared for middle east and Asia. I really doubt that they have the rights to those channels. They may show it for one or two months before they are asked to take them off air.

3.
I check with a content aggregator on the cost per subscriber for these channels, assuming they can buy the rights, it came out the about 23 USD per month. That is excluding the sports channels. Based on today's naira exchange rate of 365 naira to a dollar, the cost is 8,395 Naira per subscriber. The content owners globally charge per month for their content. They do not charge per week or part of the month. The content owners dictate the terms. Nobody can pay 8395 Naira and charge 3000 Naira. Not possible.

4.
The cost of decoder package is as follows - decoder 25 USD, smartcard 4 USD, dish is 5 USD. Total is 34 USD (12410 naira). If we add shipping and clearing, you can get 15,000 Naira. To charge 5000 Naira for the package, you will need a lot of cheap money from bank to fund the decoder purchase. Buying 15,000 and selling 5000 sounds interesting to me.

5.
To do internet via satellite, you need VSAT equipment which is expensive compared to the dish/lnb you need to receive dstv. Minimum cost of vsat equipment should be not less than 50,000 Naira. If you use the traditional dish equipment, you can only receive. You cannot do internet with it. Unless TSTV will supply you 40,000 Naira vsat equipment for 5000 Naira.

6.
I went to lyngsat and checked the ABS 3A satellite, I did not see any information about any TSTV channels. Lyngsat is the database of all channels currently on satellite.

7.
When you launch a new DTH platform, you start with a test transmission. This allows you to work through some issues that might come up. It also gives people chance to see some of your channels to make sure they are real before committing their money. There is no test transmission from TSTV.

8. EFCC Fraud Charges
EFCC arrested this guy last year for fraud. Not credible.
http://motherhoodinstyle.net/2016/01/23/doctor-who-proposed-marriage-to-wifes-close-friend-4-months-after-her-death-dumped-after-hes-nabbed-by-efcc/

In conclusion, people should ask enough questions before investing their hard earned money. If it is too good to be true, it's probably is. Let this not be another MMM.
Bros, even if na only the internet dey work we go buy am. Thanks but no thanks.

Properties / Re: Why Nigerian Architects Should Start Appreciating Organic Houses by wiseguy(m): 10:06am On Aug 18, 2017
univasal:
Do your thing sir but pay much attention to the structural work
The structural design and building so far is okay. My architect and Engineer are both qualified and registered professionals. We only disagree on the roof design. They did their best to discourage me but I insisted I wanted the slab roof. Their argument is that it's not in vogue in Nigeria and the issue of water seapage through the slab and walls. For me I don't care about what's in vogue and for water seapage, I believe having the slab slanted a bit and also tiling it will take care of that.
Properties / Re: Why Nigerian Architects Should Start Appreciating Organic Houses by wiseguy(m): 9:03am On Aug 18, 2017
I am currently building something like this which will have a slab roof. My aim is to slant the slab a little that it won't be noticeable at all. I will also cover the slab with tiles. My architect and Engineer insists it won't work but I am challenging them to do it. I need the roof as a sit out and a mini garden.

Properties / Re: Flat Roof Design Vs. Pitched Roof by wiseguy(m): 12:24pm On Apr 22, 2017
Infact, this is the discussion I was having with a friend and his architect this morning. My friend wanted an open deck instead of a pitched aluminum roof but the architect was discouraging him saying such design is not good in the South, not in vogue and leaking issues. But my guy is so sure of what he wants.
To me, I believe it can be done by making sure that the deck is slanted slightly such that water will run off easily and possibly tiled. But I am not an expert I will like to hear from those who should know. A lot of experts are here so guys do justice to this topic.

Immunity clause. Simple. You can't sue a sitting governor or president. That will be mere waste of time. It will be thrown out in court.
