The Defence Minister has no power to do this. This is a law passed by State Assemblies and they are well in their right to do so The Anti-Grazing law is only an extension of protection of the lives and properties of Nigerians guaranteed by the Nigeria constitution If the Defence Minister want to challenge this section of the constitution he should sponsor a bill to NASS and ask for the law guaranteeing the security of Nigerians to be repealed! 19 Likes 1 Share |

The technical committee of the NFF should not be involved in the selection of the player, that is the job of the coach. The role of the technical committee should stop at hiring the coach but the coach must select the players. This committee should be focused on more global aspect of the game like creating a system that ensures we are scouting footballers young and encouraging them into becoming world super stars or encourage our league to become world class The actual selection of the players should be the business of the coach. |

pelezico: Iwobi is a slightly above average player with the ball to his feet, but useless without the ball. He is not good at closing down the opponent Iwobi is not as ready as you guys think. He needs more time. 1 Like 1 Share |

Ahmed Musa is one of our most important players. His speed is deadly and he needs to be starting games Iwobi is good but not consistent. He can come in as Mikel's sub depending on the game, or sub one of the defending midfielders and Mikel drops deep. But Iwobi is not ready to carry the hopes of Nigeria at the world cup as our main number 10. if we are playing 4-2-3-1 then Ahmed Musa and Moses need to start on the flanks. If we are playing 3-5-2 then I can understand if Musa comes in as a substitute striker. in some games Victor Moses should be ready to play LWB for us and help the country. He is not as big as he thinks he is. DiMaria plays LWB for Argentina sometimes and yet Victor Moses is not bigger than DiMaria. |

Mikel Obi is a very good midfielder The flaw in his game is his inability to shoot from outside the box and score. apart from this he is a good midfielder who can pass. |

hollandis: Yea that one na Jersey Number. Someone has to wear number 1 Uzoho will be in goal in Russia, he is the future of Nigeria goal keeping |

For the group games we should play 3-5-2 against Croatia and Argentina and then 4-2-3-1 against Iceland |

The problem is every Nigerian thinks he knows about football more than the coach Some people commenting have not even followed this team for 12 months. They watch 1 or 2 matches and try to select the squad for the coach Ola Aina was not training hard and he was not fit. the reason he gave away a penalty is because he was not fit enough to outrun the Congolese player so he decided to wrestle him. Ola Aina was given chances against Algeria, Argentina, Serbia, Congo DR and in none of these matches did he light up the world. Did anyone see what Ebuehi did against England? That's how you make a statement to the coach and Ebuehi did the same against Argentina in the second half in Krasnodar. Onazi is still a good midfielder. he played well in the qualifiers. He has had some poor games lately but he is still a good midfielder. I am not surprised he made the 23. Joel Obi is the one I thought they will drop. I guess because he plays for Torino they have ranked him higher than Mikel Agu. I am sure after this world cup Joel Obi and Mikel Agu can forget the Super Eagles because the Nwakali brothers will come on board. The coach had a plan that only players playing regularly and doing well in their clubs will be invited. My regret is that there may have been too much focus on Europe because Ebube Duru or Ikouwem Utin could have added value at the left back position because they are natural lefty. That said I think Gernot Rohr has done a good job because no list of 23 Super Eagles players can satisfy everyone. We have so many players to choose from. 1 Like |

it is too late now we definitely have a Goalkeeper problem I really don't know why Daniel Akpeyi failed to rise to the occasion. This is supposed to be his world cup. As for Ezenwa, forget him. He is a clown, I really don't know how he made it to being Eyimba goalie, or CHAN number 1 or even the super eagles. The guy is a drama queen, everything you don't want from your goalie that said Uzoho was left too exposed to strikes from England. Apart from the Kane goal he did well. but in the world cup one chance can change your destiny, that is why I am worried |

uzoho should have saved Harry Kane goal this is not the first time, against Serbia a ball went under him as well |

In "Ali Modu Sherriff vs PDP" the Supreme Court already established that the courts have no power to interfere in an internal political party matter The Imo State High Court Judge that gave this order will need to explain why he thinks he has power to upturn a precedence already set by the Supreme Court. The APC faction are right to have held the congress. The result will stand. The Nigerian Police must watch their ways, they are being used as political muscle to enforce Rochas Okorochas' political aspirations. This kind of behaviour and impunity needs to stop 1 Like |

Buhari and his IGP will fail again Inspite of all these provocations Saraki has still carried himself with grace Those who want to draw silly conclusions should also remember Kabiru Sokoto and all other Boko Haram terrorists that Buhari has set free from jail and given amnesty! |

wingmanII: People are comparing apples and oranges. Uche Nwosu's right to seek elective office at any level is not in question. What is in question is Uche Nwosu the chief of staff who is also the Governor's son-in-law being imposed on the State without due process and using the office of the sitting Governor to facilitate this. This is impunity of the highest order. George W Bush became President 8 years after George H W Bush was defeated from office by Bill Clinton. George W Bush went through the process like any other American and got elected on his own merit. He may have benefited from his surname and ability to raise tonnes of cash for adverts but that's where his advantage ends. George H W Bush was out of office by then and a private citizen and could not have influenced his chances. The same goes to Hillary Clinton. She did not run for Senate as First Lady. She left office with her Husband and ran later for Senate under a Republican Government and won. She lost the primaries to Obama in 2007 but later got nominated by the DNC in 2015 but lost to Trump in the general election. Again she may have benefited from her name and ability to raise cash but Bill Clinton was not in office as a sitting President pulling the strings for Hillary to succeed her. The same applies to Bukola Saraki. For all his imperfections Bukola got elected through a Nigerian fair process. Yes his father was a Kingmaker in Kwara politics but Olusola Saraki was not a sitting Governor using his office as Governor to get his son to succeed him. Olusola was a private citizen when Bukola became Governor. In fact after Bukola's tenure Olusola tried to get Bukola's sister I think her name is Gbemisola to become Governor and Bukola rather backed an outsider instead of his own sister against the will of his own father. Bukola may heve taken this position to avoid stoking anti-Saraki sentiments in Kwara. Today the Saraki family is still very relevant in Kwara politics even after Bukola has long left office. Uche Nwosu can run for Governor but if he is smart he should do so on a level playing field. Wait let Rochas leave office and then he can use his contacts, connections and money and run under APC later. In Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta is there, he has won 2 elections as President now many years after his father died in office while he was still a young man. He went through the process fairly, paid his dues and lost some elections before finally being elected Presient. What Rochas is trying to do in Imo State is unacceptable and undemocratic. Rochas is a Governor and not a King! I know our democracy is flawed but we must at least pretend as though we are practicing democracy! 2 Likes |

This guy is the most irresponsible IGP I have seen in my life. It is not your place sir to second guess why you have been invited. Just show up and answer the questions and let Nigerians be the job. Idris is not fit to occupy the position of IGP, he simply does not want to be accountable! |

Gernot Rohr is a very serious minded man, I like his list. Only those who have not been following Nigerian footballers closely will expect any other names. This list represent the best we have at this moment based on Merit. I am sure Rohr knows confirmed 20 names in that list, there only very few minor alterations Simy Nwankwo is in the 23 and on the plane to Russia, Him and Ighalo will bear the number 9 responsibilities Iheanacho is improving in number 10 position and could be a good substitute for Mikel in the position depending on the opponent Ezenwa or Ajiboye, 1 of those two will make up the 3 goalkeepers Akpeyi is still a good keeper, he plays every week for chippa utd and will make that 23 list Stephen Eze is a good invite but if all other Central defenders are fit he will lose out Omeruo is our only experienced world cup center back and he is young, Omeruo is in our 23 If Awaziem does not stop doing fine boy and get serious Uche Henry Agbo will take his place in defence Echiejile's position is at risk and at some point Rohr will choose between Aina or Echiejile; except injury keeps Ebuehi out Mikel Agu can forget the world cup, he is not in the 23. The final choice and the hardest decision Rohr will have to make is choosing between Joel Obi and John Ogu. Except injury rules out Etebo or Ndidi; Rohr will have to drop one off Joel Obi or John Ogu Junior Lokosa can enjoy his time in the Limelight but except we get incredibly unlucky with Injury he is not going to Russia. He may have a fantastic record in the NPFL but I have watched his videos and dont think he will be able to trap ball at the world cup. Lokosa is going no where! Those for me guaranteed to be dropped if all are fit are: Ajiboye, Stephen Eze, Mikel Agu, Lokosa, Uche Agbo + 2 others 8 Likes 1 Share |

How did we get so low in Imo State? Swapping of electoral umpires a day to elections, now a Government spokesman is saying the Governor made Ben Uwajumogu Senator! That for me is confirmation of rigging becsause the last time I checked a Senator is not an appointee of the Governor. So how could Rochas make Uwajumogu Senator? Thats a very incriminating statement that reflects the impunity Government business has become in Imo State! 24 Likes 1 Share |
