Well, she thought, if God knows and cares when the sparrows fall, He must know what terrible shape my life is in right now. And if He cares, maybe He can do something with it.

Gloria didn’t know anything about the Bible. She didn’t even know for sure that God would let her start over. But when she told Him she wanted Him to take over her life, something supernatural happened on the inside of her. She was born again.

“But what about my past?” you may say. “I feel so guilty about it!”

The Marshall Islands issued a national blockchain-based currency. This was done in a bid to “finally acquire monetary independence in a way that reflects Marshallese values.”

"Since becoming an independent democratic nation in 1979, the Republic of the Marshall Islands has used the US dollar as money. Today we are progressing with our plan to issue a sovereign currency in digital form – using blockchain technology" said the Minister In-Assistance to the President and Environment.

The issuance of the Marshallese sovereign (SOV) was announced in an essay by The Honorable David Paul.

In 2018, the Marshall Islands passed a Sovereign Currency Act declaring its intent to release its new national digital currency. The nation, which has been independent since 1979, has until now been using the United States dollar as the official currency for all payments, debts, public charges, taxes and dues.

The state’s reliance on U.S. grants is estimated to total around $70 million each year.

Minister Paul, in his essay outlined that the Islands’ choice to issue a second legal tender based on blockchain technology was based on a conviction that centralized solutions are not workable in a country of 50,000 people.

Banks Will Verify Identity Of SOV Users

Approved entities such as banks or exchanges will be tasked with verifying the identity of SOV users.

Minister Paul argues that:

“We chose to create a fixed money supply with fixed growth because fiat currencies can be remarkably unstable. [...] The policies of major central banks are not reassuring, as the gold and bitcoin prices attest. We as governments need to take a more sustainable approach to money, and not treat it as a limitless resource.”

The Minister in his essay about the Marshall Islands National Crypto said the the Island is working with international regulatory bodies to achieve this. He said:

"The Marshall Islands are working closely with international regulatory bodies to ensure SOV meets all compliance requirements and can be fully integrated into the international financial ecosystem. In fact, SOV is being digitally engineered from the ground up to prevent misuse, unlike paper currencies."

China’s central bank is likely ready to launch its digital currency. This is happening the fact that the country is imposing ban on the use and trade of cryptoassets notwithstanding

Deputy Chief in the Payment and Settlement Division of the People’s Bank of China (PBOC), Mu Changchun, made known on August 10 that the central bank will soon launch its digital currency. Changchun said this at the Finance 40 Group meeting while giving an update on the project that started since 2014.

According to Changchun:

“People’s Bank digital currency can now be said to be ready.”

Changchun said the People’s Bank of China has access to a prototypical version of the digital currency and that the PBOC has fully adopted and integrated the use of blockchain technology into its infrastructure.

He went further to say that it will be difficult to achieve a high level of performance for retail use in a country as big as China if the digital currency relied solely upon a blockchain tech.

Changchun also talked about how to distribute the digital currency in what he calls a “two-tier” operating system.

According to Changchun,

“The People’s Bank of China is the upper level and the commercial banks are the second level. This dual delivery system is suitable for our national conditions. It can use existing resources to mobilize the enthusiasm of commercial banks and smoothly improve the acceptance of digital currency.”

A recent case study carried out by the digital assets investment firm Grayscale Investments, says Bitcoin (BTC) could be used as a hedge against financial instability.

The study looked at the recent trade hostilities between the United States and China to show how Bitcoin has outperformed traditional currencies. The study suggested that:

"With continued adoption, Bitcoin represents a transparent, immutable, and global form of liquidity that can provide both wealth preservation and growth opportunities. As a result, we believe it deserves a steady strategic position within many long-term investment portfolios.”

People following both traditional currency and crypto markets will see that bitcoin has been on the rise as the trade war has caused turmoil in the economic systems of both countries, but this new study lays out the specifics. The Study states"

“While the risk asset drawdown is still in its very early stages, Bitcoin is on the rise as these risks are just beginning to show up in other asset and currency prices. Since Trump first announced the tariff hike in May, Bitcoin has generated a cumulative return of 104.8% through August 7, versus an average of -0.5% for the twenty other asset classes, markets, and currencies below during the same period.”

According to the report, this is a study of the largest economies in the world, which comprise roughly 40% of annual global economic output.

While Nigeria is Sleeping, The CEO of crypto and blockchain research firm Crebaco Global Inc, Sidharth Sogani, says that India will lose around $12.9 billion worth of market if cryptocurrency is banned in the country.

Sogani spoke to AMBCrypto, which reported the matter on August 8th, 2019. According to the report, Crebaco’s methodology included an analysis of how much revenue companies might have generated if crypto was ruled to be legal, as well as crypto companies with Indian founders who moved offshore due to the Reserve Bank of India’s banking ban.

According to the, Crebaco said its total estimated revenue from crypto in India is $4.9 billion as indicated by crypto white papers and associated business plans; $2.1 billion from expert blockchain coders; $1.27 billion from content creators; and $4.5 billion from miscellaneous jobs.

Sogani says that India will be forced to regulate cryptocurrencies. He said:

“They will have to regulate it, because if they don’t, it will raise a question as how they will implement a ban on a population of 130 Crore people [...] They dont seem to have the mechanics of doing that, given India is country of 1.3 billion people.”

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), a United States regulator, is reportedly investigating BitMEX.

According to a Twitter source which cited people familiar with the matter speaking to Bloomberg, on July 19th, the CFTC suspects that BitMEX, which is registered in the Seychelles, allowed U.S. residents to use its platform to trade.

Under current law, the U.S. is one of the countries excluded from using BitMEX and similar crypto-based financial services, but users may have sought to circumvent the geoblock using services such as VPNs.

The investigation was revealed on social media via Bloomberg journalist Tim Culpan. As at press time, neither CFTC nor BitMEX has confirmed such investigation.

France is set to approve initial coin offerings (ICO) operators and other crypto businesses with its new regulatory approach to the sector.According to Reuters, on July 16th, the new rules expected to take effect later this month will enable crypto-related businesses to voluntarily submit themselves to national standards on capital requirements, consumer protection and taxation.

Bitcoin proponent Tim Draper slammed the Indian government on Twitter on July 16th after alleged evidence revealed a proposed ban on cryptocurrency.

In a message, Draper called Delhi “pathetic and corrupt.” He wrote “People behaving badly! India's government banned Bitcoin, a currency providing great hope for prosperity in a country that desperately needs it. Shame on India leadership,”

The comments was quickly reacted on by Twitter users who argued Draper was acting on hearsay.

The billionaire investor is well known for his support of freedom of Bitcoin use, having revealed a distaste for state involvement via overly strict regulation on multiple occasions.

An Indian blockchain lawyer had uploaded what he described as possible evidence of a draft law banning cryptocurrency in India.

Under the alleged proposal, the government would issue an electronic version of the rupee, which together with its predecessor would be the only domestic currency available for use in the country.

The document stated that the new rupee is not considered a cryptocurrency and that actual cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin would be completely illegal.

Imprisonment of up to ten years would be handed to those who hold, transact in, mine or complete any form of operation using such cryptocurrencies.The bill is yet to be signed into law.

It's easy to get your spiritual eyes fixed so firmly on the problems in your life, you overlook the blessings completely! As a result, you end up suffering through situations that should have you rejoicing.

Let me show you what I mean. Not long ago, this ministry was facing some great financial pressures. I stood in faith against them. I battled against them with the Word and in prayer.

What I didn't realize was this: During that time when the problems seemed so great—the blessings were even greater. This ministry was growing faster, ministering to more people, writing more letters, printing more publications, sending out more teaching tapes than ever before! It was a breakthrough time...a time for rejoicing. But I didn't know it because I was too busy thinking about the problems.

I was so "tunnel-visioned", all I could see was the pressure, and I suffered through some hard times when I should have been shouting the victory.

But thank God, He woke me up before it was over. He woke me up to the blessings and reminded me that the problems are temporary, or subject to change, but God and His Word of victory are never subject to change!

If you've been suffering through some hard times lately, wake up to the blessings around you. You'll be much more effective in battling the problems if you're giving God the glory for the solutions He's already provided. Take your eyes off the trouble and look around you. You'll soon be shouting the victory!
