barbiee:

you can pay for yourself If you have a dorm account otherwise Google Bellaz educational center in surulere lagos, she will make the payment on your behalf. The center is also an approved Pearson vue exam center.
thanks Barbie... congratulations on your recent stride.

I'm so sorry I have not been active on this thread.
Congratulations to iyiman, finally your US dream is a reality and a big congratulations to those that are living their dreams abroad. I'm happy you didn't give up and I hope the success stories from this thread encourages nurses in Nigeria aiming for a better life .. don't settle for less, you can achieve more than you ever imagined.

For those that have been here from the beginning, and to you that have kept this thread alive by responding to questions, your reward is in heaven.

Some of you are aware that I stopped processing my US application midway due to personal reasons however, I proceeded to attempt registration in the UK and will be resuming US registration on a latter date.
I'm going to share every detail about this new adventure very soon.

It is possible to start and finish UK registration within 4 months. Infact, right now the UK is the fastest and easiest route for nurses who really want to leave Nigeria. It's also a good place to start from if your USA or Canadian dream is taking too long.
Dear Barbie your reward is in heaven and on earth. Thanks for the encouragement. I am super motivated.

vickyehi:

My advice is that you should go the UK ist because remaining in Nigeria is not good for mental health grin cheesy cheesy cheesy.
However if you can, sign a short contract 1yr or find an employer yourself so you dont have to sign any contract with a staffing agency.
But whatever you do, dont wait in Nigeria grin
Thank you so much

Thanks for your kind and prompt response. Please what is ur candid advice in consideration of your last sentence .and do you have an idea of how much time it may take for the UK process from passing CBT and IELTS to travelling for OSCE. Thanks alot.
IYIMAN:

A lot of people have done and are still doing that. The US process is a game of time where patience is the watchword. While moving to UK, consider your contract with the UK agent may be 2 years. And so, may subsist while you're ready to move to the US... Barbiee

It is quite a while on this forum. A lot of colleagues have moved to both the UK and the USA on this forum. Thanks to everyone that have contributed.
It is comforting to know the the creator of this thread Barbiee is packing her bags already to relocate soonest. A good number of us in the US are doing fine.... Maybe a new thread will soon come up to share our experiences, practising outside Nigeria.
To everyone still planning, make hay while the sun shines, before the requirements change. All the best to those preparing for Nclex.
Please consider *Vickyehi* advice. Saunders and Uworld. Shalom!
The new thread to share experience will make alot of sense.

Hello all. I have been a silent plus lazy followers of this thread for a long while. Kudus to my inspirers mamajaz, incredible, barbie and co. I have a bnsc. I would really love to relocate. The processes seem complicated, long and scary to me. I am finding it hard determining which location between canada, US and UK to pursue. Considering the canada express entry , the proof of funds gives me chills( as i no get money) in considering the USA I Just registered with shearwater health but yet to sign contract ( as i want to be sure if it has my best interest compared to other agencies such as avant). Considering the Uk i am preparing for IELETS but some1 said UK nurses are not well paid compared to US and canada and that tax for hubby and children will cut my neck. My people sorry for long post i need advice, motivation and suggestions. Please between UK, USA and canada which has the highest and lowest benefit for nurses in terms of cost of living, salaries and other parameters. Thanks
