hi docs,

my dad (76yrs) is diabetic and has just developed swollen feet. he also has difficulty sleeping at night due to the pains in his feet. he is thus forced to take sleeping pills every night. he also has difficulty walking around and has also gained some weight. we have taken him to several hospitals but his situation has not really improved. he's kind of frustrated with the hospitals right now and am a loss as to what to do. is there anything we can do to alleviate the pains and swollen feet while we look for a specialist to attend to him?
