lampi:All these u mentioned are not peculiar to only unical. Most people think the same way in their 1st year to 2nd year. You might be a malabite either in ur year 1 going to year 2. By d end of ur year 2, all these u mentioned above will no longer bother u again but how to graduate and leave. See the truth is every system in naija is messed up. Worst of it is that we can't change much. I'm not a fan of unical or d current Florence Obi led administration, but if u play ur game well, u will be glad u attended unical after spending 4,5 or 6 years there. |

Greetings nairaland. I started noticing symptoms of malaria/typhoid immediately after my exams about 3 weeks ago. I subsequently went to see the doctor and explained everything to him. He prescribed some drugs which I bought from a reliable pharmacist/pharmacy. Four days after taking the drugs, I noticed that I was hale and sound without further symptoms. However, a week after taking these drugs, I feel different symptoms altogether. Fatigue, nausea, body pain (only at noon to mid evening), rational sharp pain at the left lower part of my abdomen, mild headache, serious hunger even after eating few minutes ago, and now catarrh and cough. I actually don't know the type of drugs to take now since I don't have cash to visit the hospital again. Please health specialist help out. |

Hungrychicken:Don't get scared, there's no perfect federal or public university in Nigeria. All the lecturers are almost the same. You can finish well from Unical and do well. 1 Like |

famozine1:If your first gpa indeed is 3.2, there's possibility that u can still make first class if you sit tight and study. Don't settle for less. |

Bendent19:Ok, I understand better now. Meet your department officer, faculty officer or even student adviser of your department/faculty and explain this to him/her, the person will advice you on what to do. A friend of mine had name issue when we gained admission. In our year 2, this issue was resolved through the help of our faculty officer. He sworn an affidavit, published the corrected name in a recognized newspaper house, and went to JAMB office to do regularisation. Go through your department/faculty. |

Bendent19:Same issue, I used only two names without my middle name starting from my primary testimonial, waec, jamb, voters card, national ID, bank, etc. I later realised that I should have included my middle name in all my documents (though it wasn't my fault). Currently in 4/5. I just dey wait jeje to graduate first get all my necessary certificates and then go for change of name later if there's any need for that. I will advice u wait till after graduation |

samsononyilo: Crime and delinquency is a 300Level course in some federal universities. Why 100L in unijos? All the same sha, in tackling d question, recourse should be made to the theories of criminal behavior and juvenile delinquency. 2 Likes |

Please I just received a mail from College Relief Fund (CRF) telling me to revalidate my details on their portal. I remember registering on their website sometime last year, but I didn't receive a mail from them until now. I want to know if the college relief fund scholarship stuff is genuine? NB: for those that know of it. |

Don't fret yourself. You will be admitted only if your Jamb score and Post Utme score/screening point is ok. During my days, I wrote English, Govt, Literature and CRS. With a jamb score of 242 and Post Utme score of 300, I was admitted. |

The truth is sometimes what you call passion may not be it in the long run. For me getting admission in any course in an accredited university is a good start only if you know how to leverage on it for opportunities. I used to have passion for a particular course when seeking admission those days for years. It got to a point I decided that even if I'm given admission in any course I will accept it. As God will have it, it never happened even with a JAMB score of 264, were as people with 200 and above were been admitted in similar courses without even sorting for admission. I'm currently in my 400L in the course which I had passion for right from the onset and I have come to discover that sometimes, one need to look beyond passion. Courses like Social works which I downgraded so much when I was looking for admission because of my myopic understanding then are now hot-cakes. Someone also mentioned Psychology and many others. Reading a particular course is good but leveraging on available opportunities in any course is the best. Don't be confused. The truth is pray, seek God's help and look beyond passion. It shall end well bro. |

Pejah97:I may not be wrong to say that you're a student of University of Calabar? From the result you posted NR means no result have been uploaded yet by your exam officer. So go and meet him/her to know why the result have not been uploaded yet if others in your class have seen theirs. Your result is not yet complete for your present class, so it's difficult to tell whether or not you can graduate with a 2.1 |
