PDP DENOUNCES THE MONUMENTAL LOOTING BY PATIENCE JONATHAN, COMMENDS COURT RULINGS ON FORFEITURE

The People’s Democratic Party leadership has condemned in strong term the level of graft perpetrated by Dr (Mrs) Patience Jonathan, the wife of ex President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan as affirmed by the Federal High Court yesterday. According to the Party Chairman Chief Uche Secondus, “The action by her excellency negates what the party stands for and we will not in anyway condone this as the loyalty of the party lies on the progressiveness of the Nigerian people”.

“We commend Justice Cecilia Olatorgun for her courage in affirming true verdict by placing the nations interest above individual interest. We enjoin her counterpart in the judiciary to take a leaf from her in order to send clear message to the entirety of the Nigerian people that the judiciary is indeed ready to work for the interest of the masses and not the few privileged elites”.

“This press conference is organised to redeem the party’s battered image. Upholding the tenets of democracy to favour the people is what our party stands for and we will not mortgage posterity’s future on the alter of politics as we have no other nation”.

“We hope this sends clear warnings to existing members out of office, in office a and prospective candidates that it is no longer business as usual. We are PDP, we are for the people”.

“We also admonish the APC government not to relent in its corruption fight and to pursue with rigorous her members having similar pending cases. We hope the court expedite the cases as it has done to our party First Lady. We also enjoin the current serving members of the APC to know that their attitude today in office will determine their fate tomorrow.”

“Thank you”.

“PDP! Power to the people!”

Imagine the PDP come up with a press conference like this over the forfeiture verdict by the High court yesterday. Is Nigeria not going to be a better place for it?

The day we start reasoning like this as party men is the day we start witnessing serious improvement in governance. What we read by opposition party over daunting issue like this is comparison of alleged graft by one person or the other.

Politics / Re: Refineries Lose Over 200 Billion Under Buhari- Punch Newspaper by xplicit2(m): 7:02pm On Jun 10, 2019
What an assertion!

Are these not the same refineries that had packed up before Buhari came to power despite hundreds of billions the Gej administration spent on it?

We all know refineries will spring up in Nigeria soon as the government has gone deeply in partnering with private firms in the establishments of modular and extended refineries.

Even though the headline attempt to mislead the audience into believing we went at loss, what indeed happened was that the refineries paused for activities intermittently. Even though you detest referring to the past, the truth is that these refineries have not been in healthy conditions let’s not attach any spiritual assertion to this please! We didn’t forget how we spent several nights queuing to get these commodities while our anointed hand and leader with the beautiful name GOODLUCK was our pilot.

It is interesting to note that NIGERIA is still the leading producer of crude oil and gas and more interesting is the fact that this administration has not spent any dime on the repair of these refineries! They avoided past mistakes and rather concentrated on getting more refineries spring up. Yet there is adequate supply of petroleum resources in the country though with heavy reliability on import currently.

There is no doubt of a silver lining in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry. Kudos to a dedicated government and no kudos to saboteuring governments who drained us via their kleptomaniac petroleum minister and did not desist in sabotaging current effort in making the current refineries work at their best.

One question we fail to ask is why those past government had never added a single refineries to the existing one over 16 years?

Another question is why will a government leave power and everything simply go down the drain. This is simply because what is obtainable has never been utilised to work up to standard.
