Just called him now he said it's 24k canadian dollars. So I feel that's where the prob is. Cos I have a family of 6

Try and rewrite your IELTS for better scores of at least 8777. That 6 in your result will impact significantly on your scores. The goal is not just to enter the pool but to get high enough scores to be issued an invitation to apply. You can also get your spouse to write as well to boost your points.

Back to more important things.

I received the golden mail this morning. It is PPR people! God has just been so faithful. Wrote to them yesterday evening Nigerian time and they responded that it was in Ottawa and hasn't been finalized yet. Only to wake up to the golden mail this morning. Don't know if they work over night in the Ottawa office.

19days from AOR to PPR. It can only be God. I put the barest minimum I could put (apart from the bank reference letters). Didn't provide a single bank statement. Didn't include payslips and appointment letters. Had plenty travel history for both my husband and I. I had nearly all my funds in my husband's account. God just covered over any mistakes as none were intentional.

ITA = 9th Aug
AOR=11th sept.
MEDP= 21st sept
ADR on representative = 21st sept
ADR replied = 21st sept
IP1 = 22nd sept.
NA2 = 27th Sept
IP2 = 29th sept.
PPR = 30th sept.

Will send my passports once I return to my house next week.

I travelled and returned to see so many mentions on the bank reference letter stuff. I don't have access to my computer where I stored all those links and screenshots of what was required as per the bank stuff
even for the next couple of days.

Rather than prolong the discussion on it, I defer to everyone else.

I had same issue. I sent them a DM on twitter and they sorted it out.

nnekdre:
Any advice pls. I actually want to evaluate only my master's degree certificate which I have sent for the transcript and my degree certificate has been scanned and sent to WES which has been acknowledged. But they keep asking for my university degree certificate and my transcript . I have sent them a message telling them I do not want to evaluate that but they are still asking.

I acquired both certificate from different schools , one in the UK which is the master's and my BSC in NIgeria. I do not want to go through the stress of naija school transcript wahala.
What do I do?

Only the account holding the POF is needed.

I disagree. They have asked for all bank accounts you hold. That people get away with it doesn't make it safe.

What if something triggers them asking? Just get references for those accounts and leave out the SOA. That's what I did.

Hi,

My drivers licence has expired and I do not plan on renewing it before leaving. Please is the valid drivers licence bit compulsory or can i just make do with the FRSC letter?

From my research, the licence has to be valid and not expired for the FRSC letter to be allowed. It would be in your interest to apply for the renewal And see how you can rush it. If not, you have a 2 year waiting period as a learner driver.

Rather, the country indeed has always been messed up.
Nigerians never knew that not a single thing we consume is made in Nigeria. All they know is to consume and be happy with any govt that makes it available for consumption and open their ignorant mouths to hail that govt as the best. That's why it's hard to please Nigerians by taking hard decisions to start from the bottom.
When this govt launched local pencil and toothpick production for a start, ignorant people were bashing it as a mediocre achievement, forgetting that previous govts were doing nothing but dishing our hard earned forex for importation of anything consumable, including the same toothpicks and a national security document like Passport.
For me, I'm keenly interested in any govt that makes the most effort to take us away from a consuming nation to a producing nation. In that area, even though not substantial enough, this govt has done the most to save us from importing with scarce forex resources.

Nigeria is still not producing anything. It's just harder to get stuff we got easily previously.

You may still need to fill the form and tick the second box- stating I withdraw authorisation to release information fromur case file
Once u submit u should get medical passed in 24hrs
Did this for my bro though he didnt withdraw authorisation sha.

Thanks. I just filled the form and included a LOE that it was no longer necessary. I was afraid to remove authorisation as my spouse is also part of the application before they misunderstand and remove him from application. grin

Na worry worry, no mind me. Medicals passed already. Now, i am prepared to wait.

Biko, I have received an ADR and realised that the ADR is because my husband ticked that he wants to be a designated individual or whatever that means. Now, they asked for me to send a release but i don't even want that at all because it is not necessary. How do i ask them to forget it?

I'm just thinking. Is it not better to turn my account to a joint account with my spouse and use it for EE instead of transferring the POF to her own account since she is the PA?
With a joint account, there won't be any need for explanation about the funds in her account. Does this make sense?

Yes it does. As long as it's just the 2 of u.

HST is what we call VAT. Can't avoid it. Get used to it because Canada is full of such taxes.

Hmmm. My brother, let people do what makes them sleep well at night. cheesy grin

The issue tire me. I know how I argued with my husband on this matter. He believes we should put everything because it is better to be safe than sorry. I believe the more not required information given the more likely that something could go wrong.

Left to him we would include birth certificates, CV, visa introduction letter (apart from ref letter) and so many others I can't remember.

Yea 4 or 5. I think it depends on province. Lol @ how to behave. That'll be the case for my last child. Just 6 months and I'm hoping the 1st child will also help in teaching when the time comes. Lol @ far away. I feel you. Even though my 1st is almost 3 now, 4 still seems like a million years away. But it's just one more year cheesy

That would be interesting to see a 3/4 year old teaching a 1 yr old cheesy cheesy. My first ones are 4 and 6 so I have no fear with them. It's my 1 yr old. Still toying with how long I can endure staying at home before he starts school. Na Ontario province o.

Thank you for the response. I have no prior contact. So I will just walk in. What docs should I hold going there? Can I do on behalf of my spouse too? If yes, what should I hold if I am going there? Any idea of the price range?

I got this from the former thread. I used him and paid 3500 each. He was also a little flexible with time.

It's not wise for a mother to create sides by setting brothers against themselves. It will always boomerang and cause a wide chasm that can't be bridged.
