Politics / Re: Ibadan Mogaji Drags Ajimobi, Ogunesan Before EFCC by yaromalaika: 11:31am On Apr 05, 2019
Can we say God is wicked for entrusting the destiny of the people of Oyo State in the hand of people like Ajimobi for eight years? Ajimobi is wicked,self-centred and incontrovertibly selfish.

Hisbah is for states that operate Sharia laws and its establishment is backed by gazette of the states where it is in operation. Since there is no law in the country that supports the establishment of BSS, it remains an illegal security outfit and it must be crushed.

The agreement reached between Federal and state governments is that at least 75% of the second tranche of the Paris Club refund be used to offset workers salaries and any state government that does anything contrary to this mutual agreement risk the chance of missing out in the next release.

Politics / Ajimobi, oyo Nlc And Paris Club Refund. by yaromalaika: 1:54pm On Jul 19, 2017
It is no more news that the second tranche of Paris Club Refund had now been released to all the states of the Federation including Oyo State. To say the obvious, the word TRANSPARENCY does not seem to appear in the political dictionary of Oyo State emperor,Governor Abiola Ajimobi and this is the reason why NLC(Oyo State Chapter) should be proactive more than ever before on this issue. One can easily remember that during the disbursement of the first tranche, the Governor announced to the people of Oyo State that he received N7.206b. Later when the Federal Goverment published what each state received, it was discovered that Oyo State actually received N13.315b leaving an under-reported amount of N6.109b.
Now that the second tranche of N7.902b(as published by the FG this morning) had been paid to Oyo State government, the workers as well as the good people of Oyo State look up to Nigeria Labour Congress(Oyo State Chapter) to be alert to its responsibilities and ensure that not a single kobo of this refund is diverted
Ajimobi, in his characteristics manner of wanting to subject the workers and the people of the state to hunger and hardship may want to decide to put this money in a Fixed Deposit Account for month to generate interest for him, the NLC should please guide against this and ensure that the money is quickly injected into the economy to boost economic activities of Oyo State as this is the main reason for which the money was released.

The source of the news completely erodes the credibility of the news.We all know Igberetvnews to be the official mouthpiece of IPOB.What they do is to sit in one corner of their room and concort stories.Let me remind you that you forgot to mention in your usual characteristic that Justice Binta Nyako is a Muslim just like Buhari.

Politics / Before Gov. Ajimobi Goes Underground. by yaromalaika: 1:08pm On Dec 06, 2016
For those who are conversant with the style of governance in Oyo State,it could be noticed that it has been the practice of Gov.Ajimobi to withdraw himself from circulation from the second week of every month only to appear in the first week of the next month.During this period of self-wihdrawal,he would not attend to any state function (except through representation), he would not appear on television and he would not make any policy statement. This is the month of December and responsible state governors have been talking and making moves to make their people happy during christmas and newyear festivities and to ensure that recession has little or no impact on them during these festive periods.
Ebonyi State Governor had announced payment of 13th month salary to the workers in the state while Cross River state Governor had even paid the December salaries of the state workforce on the 1st of December,2016 This salary payment at this period will help permeate and lubricate the economic wheel of the respective states and everybody in those two states would be the ultimate beneficiaries.I am not working under Oyo State goverment but I am an indegene and resident in Oyo State and I know if workers are paid their salaries,I would be an indirect beneficiary. The workers in Oyo State are not asking for anything special from the Governor other than the payment of their June 2016 salary(a month salary out of outstanding 7months salary)and there should be no difficulty in doing this because Federal Allocation for the month of November,2016 is already in the accounts of Oyo State Government.
Before Governor Ajimobi performs the monthly abracadabra of going underground this December, solid arrangement should be made for the utilisation of Federal Allocation for the month of November (already in Oyo State Government kitty)for the immediate payment of June,2016 salaries of workers so that workers as well as the people of the state could enjoy the yuletide and new year festivities.

Politics / Oyo Nlc,it Is Time For Follow-up Action. by yaromalaika: 12:35pm On Aug 08, 2016
Recently, the NLC Oyo State Chapter signed an agreement with Oyo State Government which culminated into the suspension of the seven weeks industrial strike embarked upon by the civil servant in the state to protest non payment of their salaries. In the agreement, the two parties consented that two months salaries(January & February 2016) out of outstanding seven months salaries be paid within two weeks of signing the agreement. As a matter of fact,January salaries had been paid to the workers.Today is 8th of august 2016,exactly two weeks of the signing of the agreement and February salaries had not been paid has agreed. However,a priviledged information from the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation release by News Agency of Nigeria(NAN) last week Friday indicated that a net Figure of N4.13billion had just been credited to Oyo State Government account(After deduction of all encumbrances)as its own share of July Federal allocation.Since it is this July allocation(now received)that the government intends to use to offset the February salaries,The expectations of the State workers is for them to be receiving as from today,Salary payment alert. In fact they expect the officials of the state NLC to by now be at the Oyo State Government Secretariat to ginger the government to fulfill its own side of the agreement to the workers.NLC should not give room for people to believe the allegations levied against them by TUC that they compromised the interest of the workers in signing the agreement and this is the more reason why they(NLC)should stand on the neck of the government to kick-start payment of February salaries as agreed NOW.
