Politics / Re: FCT 25% Requirement: Olisa Agbakoba Saw This Coming by Yaruk1: 9:13am On Mar 22, 2023
Obinoscopy:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzNchKUi6MU

The former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Olisa Agbakoba, actually saw this political conundrum of 25% requirement coming and wrote to INEC seeking clarification and also seeking their understanding of Section 134 of the Constitution which states that the winner of a presidential election must get 25% of the casted votes in two-thirds of the States and the FCT. He wrote the letter in January, 2023.

The video above even shows Agbakoba asking the INEC spokesman, Festus Okoye, this same question and Festus dodged giving a response. He simply said the INEC Chairman will be the only one who can answer this question and the Chairman will only answer this question after the election is conducted. The video was before the election.

See the video above.
Why is it that obidients are so myopic in their thinking? A state has a Governor, does FTC has a Governor? A state has three senators, does FTC has three senators? So if the answers to these are NO, there's no how u will expect the same requirements to be met in that less than a state FTC. Make una wake up. Una don loose this election already and even the 2027

Politics / How True Is Inec's Directive On Voter Cards Collection? by Yaruk1: 7:47am On Dec 14, 2022
Hello Nairalanders! INEC said the new voter's cards would be available for collection on Monday 12th, Dec., 2022. I was so happy for this info as I have been eagerly waiting for this phase since. I decided to go their office in Zaria yesterday where I was suppose to collect my own, on getting there, we were told that no single new card had been sent to them. That all what they have to give out were those that applied for one correction or the other. The most painful thing is the N300 TP I wasted for nothing. Pls kindly share your experience in this regard in your area

Family / Re: Men That Their Wives Are The Breadwinners; How Do You Cope? by Yaruk1: 10:18pm On Sep 25, 2021
Wisdom chok
chatinent:

This scenario reminds me of Jude and Eniola Badmus that was always cartoonized on The Sun Newspaper.

That means if she were the one providing the meals, ọ ga -esiri gị ike ga ahu banana nke a rapuru fo.

Mehn..

Nothing dey vex me pass references to every little efforts you make forgetting my daily stabs to make you happy.

Most women cannot be men even for a day.

Only one evening my cousin sister took me out, I never even remove my shoe naim I read her status: “I like the woman I am becoming. Always learn to man your womanhood.”

The only thing most women tend to appreciate is credit alerts..or send your account number. They will become so emotional..they can even cry.

Let the case be the reverse.

Make she just take care of you for two days.

You go hear weeen. She go even remind you how she carry you for stomach for nine months.

“Richie, what is this na, can't I have peace after coming back from work again? How can you eat and cannot wash your plates again! What's this na!”

“Baby, why are you shouting? The neighbours are at...”

“Don't baby me. What have I not done to make you happy? Will I kill myself? Am I the only married woman in the world..what is this na.”

(You try to hold her hands to calm her down...she slaps you damn hard).

“(She is crying now..tears flowly freely). Just see what you made me do. Just see it. Everything is just wrong with this world.”

You mah wey dem slap go still go meet am for parlour where she dey cry dey pet am (and that is after checking your cheeks if blood dey comot). You go come humbly tell am say no bi you eat, say na the one she eat for morning..but anyways, you forgot to wash it.

Another matter don dey brew.

She will now come to the parlour and sit, ask you for the remote and change the football to Telemundo and mutter these words you'll never hear: “work e won't work, such a failure. It's only remote e can pass.”

You will try to look at her with your side eyes but meet her full eyes staring at you in disgust. Mumu you go come smile enter bedroom.

As you are walking into the bedroom, the volume of the muttering is increasing but it's still inaudible.

In the oza room, just respect yourself. Don't even dare..unless you want the whole world to know how you will be idle and want to kill sb’s daughter after working all day!

“oh, it's your plan, Richie, baa? To kill me so that you can now go and meet Ishilove, baa?”

Only you go dey like Stone Cold Steve Austin sleep.

It will be normal...the “honey, darling etc.” is going to die. You will be called your name...two seconds, she will stop calling your name and just be giving out orders.

Abeg, don't even remind her you are the husband. You will get the insult of your life. She will say “no, say it loud na, let mama Chisom hear you. How many husbands stay at home watching football and their wives are left to do all the work!”

But na you still dey pay rent, buy foodstuff, and children fees.

Baba, kuku collect that responsiblity back. I hate to talk much. No dare shift any of your responsibility to woman...even if she persists to want to help. E kuku better she dey do am willingly than you register her name on it.

Only women, babies, and pets are loved. Men are respected when they man up. Na the respect we dey translate to love.

2021. Things are extremely expensive now in America. A lot of Americans are about to be evicted from their houses because of rent pay. Fuel, foodstuffs, Health Insurance, education some are even paying their education loan 20-30 years after their graduation, things most Nigerians enjoy naturally. Inflation is rising over there but most of you thought the problem of the world start and end in Nigeria. You still receive calls with your network providers even if you don't recharge for two months plus which is not the same in America, you must pay your bill every month whether you have credit or not in your phonecan't I leave without a phone?.

Career / Re: "The Girl I Dumped Years Ago Became My Boss At Work" by Yaruk1: 10:21pm On Sep 18, 2021
Op, this your Tori dey one kind oo. U say u dey ND2 u come tok say u dey university again. Show us d evidence otherwise I no go believe u oo
Sixsigmahub:
A male graduate who recently got a job in a company shares a story of how the boss of his new company turns out to be the girl he dumped ten years ago because she was uneducated.

On this article, he reveals that the boss in the company was the same girl he dumped many years ago when he gained admission into the university because she was not properly educated at the time he gained admission into the university.

He felled guilty and didn’t know how to ask her how she became so rich that she owned a company.

Read his story:

This world is just a small world, i can’t believe myself, it seems like I’m dreaming.

I just discovered that a lady that i broke up with about 10 years ago, because she was not properly educated is the owner of the company I’m currently working as one of the marketers.

We started dating when i was in SS1 and she was in JSS3, but she was dull, sometimes i used to teach her to some extent but unfortunately after that, she will forget all that i taught her.

Though we were normal until when i got admission into the university, after my first year, i began to hang out with other girls in the school, it was this time i started comparing her with them.

Then she doesn’t know how to speak good English although she genuinely loved and never asked for anything from me but since i have met with other girls, who were outspoken and beautiful too, i thought it was the best time to leave her.

During my ND2, i made up my mind to breakup with her and move on since there are many beautiful and educated girls in campus. So one day i picked my phone and called her and told her about the new development, i was like i can’t be dating someone who is not educated enough, while I’m about to become a graduate.

She cried and cried, pleading with me to stay with her that she will definitely improve soon. but i had made up my mind to leave, i stopped calling her, even when she called or texted, i didn’t take her calls or replied her messages.

Boom i started dating a lady called Amaka, i felt like i had finally met my match, because she was educated and beautiful too, but unfortunately before my graduation we broke up over an unresolved misunderstanding.

After my service, i decided to change location in order to start a new life, i started applying for job, luckily after some months, i got a job but the salary was not much because i had lots of responsibilities to take care of.

I worked for the company for 7 years before i decided to quit and look for another job because the former job was not encouraging, i was only managing all these years.

I searched for a job for almost one year, then one Monday morning, i got a call from one of the companies, i submitted my CV and was told to come for interview immediately, i had to rush there, the interview was successful, that’s how i started working but i noticed a strange movement after two months of working in the company.

I was promoted, while other workers who have been there before i was employed never received any. I was transferred to the headquarter, unknowingly to me that it was all planned by the same lady i dumped many years ago.

The next morning when i got to the office, she sent for me and i was like “what’s happening, at first i got promoted, now director wants to see me”. I walked to her office but couldn’t remember her because it has been years and i never expected her to be in such position.

The moment i got to her office, she mentioned my native name which i knew i have never used since i travelled out of my state.

I received the shock of my life when she revealed that she’s the same girl i dumped many years ago when i gained admission into the university. I was short of words because i have worked for the company for three months, definitely i have received salary three times from the same girl, i dumped simply because she’s not properly educated.

I was guilty and didn’t know how to ask her how she became so rich that she owned a company.

I only pleaded with her not to sack me because i had no other job to rely on, but even as that I’m not comfortable with the work because I’m ashamed of myself.

Sometimes it pays to be patience with one another whether educated or not educated. Don’t look down on anyone because no one knows tomorrow.”

Goodevening all! Pls how should one treat online mobile apps that give people loan and it happened that the person slightly defaulted. In less than a week, they started sending different messages through WhatsApp to all his contacts saying he is a serial loan defaulter who ran away with company's money and that police are looking for him, his picture would be displayed on their Facebook, and if anybody need his pix, he or she should request for it. They included his phone number in the message. What they are doing is similar to name and shame which I don't know if our law allows it. Pls people with appropriate knowledge/Experience should assist

That's right, some people seems to be judging from Chinese or Lebanese companies that are very common in Nigeria. I think there should be difference. Wow! God has bless that your guy.
donaldwhal:

Mention the foreign companies. It’s either you work for these Lebanese, Indian or Chinese companies. Those ones are one man business mostly. They are not run well. They don’t have good structure. You can’t compare them with Coca-Cola lailai. Not every white man’s company is a multinational bro. So tell us your experience.

I have colleagues that we both started work. Some joined government work. Some joined multinationals. The ones working with government are visibly complaining. How can your salary be N650k in a year and you say you are working for a government? In Nigeria of today? Go and see new entrants into multinational corporations who started with N4.5m per annum. New entrant o. There are managers who earn from N15m to N60m per annum in multinational companies across Nigeria. I have a colleague in Ibadan office of a German company who earns N27m per annum. He has achieved almost everything he wanted and he is in his mid 30s. Canada just gave him a visa last week to come on a diploma course that they won’t ordinarily give anyone.

Hahahaha! You hate our pension system oo
donaldwhal:

Western multinational companies are not run like one man businesses where they sack at will. I am not talking about Asia multinational companies o. Western multinational companies have fairly transparent systems. They give you deliverables and you agree with them on when to deliver them. They give you tools to work with as well. Forget about job security in multinational companies o. Except if you steal or defraud, nobody will say oya come and be going. I can spend weeks without talking to my manager in the office and nobody will be angry. So far you are delivering and updating your oga and teammates as expected.
The pension she would get monthly after retiring from FG job won’t be more than N15,000 per month for a limited period of time. You can quote me anywhere on this. Even if she decides to transfer her pension to annuity investment, she can’t be getting more than N7k per month after retirement.
Which kain yeye FG job. All those Finance ministries, NNPC, etc na steal dem dey steal. Except if she doesn’t care to join them stealing.
Career / Re: Choosing Between Fg Job And Coca-cola Job by Yaruk1: 8:03am On Aug 07, 2021
Thank you so much for this inputs. This is synonymous to to whom much is given much is expected.
donaldwhal:

Let her go for Coca-Cola job - whether NBC or Hellenic. You can’t compare death with sleep. I have more than 15 years’ experience with top notch Fortune 1000 multinationals - they are never incomparable to our FG bvllshiit job that will turn her to a mediocre with low pay, lowlife, sex object for co lecturers.

She can even cross from NBC to Hellenic or other serious multinational companies.
Whenever she relocates, she has two things, part of which could help her get job quickly in Canada and would count in her favour:
1. multinational company experience.
2. Transferable skills.

She should also be ready to cope with job demands that come with working with Coca-Cola o. She can’t get there and just be sitting down o like they do in government jobs in Nigeria. She will work with above industry average tools, which would make the work easier for her.

I wish her all the best in Coca-Cola.
