Wow! If they pay this much as at 2013 they are really trying. This is the salary range of a newly promoted lecturer to the rank of a professor.
NaijaGoBetter20:

Nigeria bottling company is owned or let me say it's subsidiary of Leventis and they received coca-cola concentrate to mix with other ingredients (they use Dangote sugar their t&c is still bam) they also mix fanta, Sprite etc... So if you work with NBC then you're Leventis family.
The salary is not bad by as at 2012/13 QAM received around 300k I don't know now DYOR

Nawa ooo! She was told that she will either be a supervisor or a field officer. But is it possible for a field officer to become a supervisor and a manager or the work is like military where if one starts as a non-commissioned he will have to remain in that line?
micxwell:

Now, NBC is owned by Leventis like you mentioned earlier and Leventis is given the license by Coca-Cola Hellenic to bottle Coca-Cola products in Nigeria which makes NBC a member of the Coca-Cola Hellenic Group.

These products are produced based on what we call the KORE (Coca-Cola Operating Requirements - For quality, safety and environment).

NBC is also permitted to operate on Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company's server i.e. @cchellenic.com (As required by the KORE). Therefore even the most junior staff has an email ending with @cchellenic.com.

Now the real problem is, Hellenic has a lot of influence on the office of the Top Managers, Senior Managers, & Managers (Some of whom could be HODs) but they left anything that has to do with line managers (Supervisors) and other junior workers that are staff to NBC only cause they believe they're just pack of muscles and can be replaced at any time.

So if you're not coming in as a manager or a specialist (engineering/maintenance) and you're not directly linked to sales where you can *****you know what I mean**** ; forget it.

Go for Coca- cola if you really want to grow and be an industry leader. You will to be a thorough profesional and learn alot of new skills as you build your career.
For FG , unless it is an agency (forget ministry) that has shown competency for excellence and is performance oriented. Don't even waste your time, you will just end up doing nothing all day and experience some serious brain drain. At the end of the day, you master a skill in cutting corners and making deals.

Iv worked in both, so Im telling you 1st hand experience.

I guess you are talking about NBC, I also worked there at managerial level.
The pressure to meet targets na war, with constant threats of sacking.
While they pay well, no be you go dey enjoy the money.
All the same, it's a nice place to work and gather experience.

Pls can you elaborate on salary coming from NBC? I mean, the implication of that. Thank you
NaijaGoBetter20:
If she wants money let her move to Coca-Cola (Just better than the lecturer salary but she might not be able to
afford land in Maitama)

But if she likes book let her stick to a lecturing job (but she will not be able to afford land in Federal housing Lugbe)

For coca cola her salary will be coming from Nigeria Bottling Company (NBC) one of the reasons people are opting out.

As a Federal government worker her salary will be directly from Federal government.

Tell her to follow her heart

Last last she go marry and everything will end in other room

It seems you are lecturer with d type of example you gave. Thank you
DeejaywonDJ1:
NBC is Nigeria subsidiary of CCHellenic with headquarter in Switzerland, CCHellenic is just an anchor bottler of Coca-Cola products own by the Coca-Cola company. Just like CAC church in Nigeria, Anglican church and Methodists in England owned borrowed other countries their names and products but don't have control over their settings in those countries

Hahahaha!

Coca-Cola abeg.

With the way things are going, FG may start owing its lecturers but Coca-Cola will still be Coca-Cola. Even if men stop taking coke, women will never stop taking Fanta.

Wow thank you for this insight

CC Hellenic is the global umbrella body that operate Coca Cola brand worldwide. Their headquarters is in Netherlands and they have a synchronized system that ensure same operation all over the world.

While NBC is the group that operates the Coca Cola brand In Nigeria but they have also joined CC Hellenic.

So one can say contract and full staff cos NBC have joined CC Hellenic but I don't think it's fully or partially

Hmmm! This is an eye opener. Thank you
humilitypays:
Even being a Governor in Nigeria, the only thing that makes it promising and makes them rich is stealing and looting of public funds and that nonsense they call security vote abi vault. Go and check their actual salaries and allowances, it can't afford them the affluent life they live.

Then to talk of ordinary government work, civil service that's meant for serving the public they now make it look like a lucrative job just because of stealing and corruption they do.

Highest level in Nigerian civil service which is level 18, Permanent Secretary position, their actual salary is not up to 1million Naira, and if you know the level of juju practice they engage in just because of that peanut salary, you will marvel.

Most Nigerian government workers are occultic, diabolical and dangerous. Don't envy them at all, especially those occupying good positions and those above level 12

Hmmm! You are a wise person I swear. You have said it all. I really appreciate your bitter truth
humilitypays:
lol, FG job.

If not for bribery, stealing and looting of public funds, you can never compare a permanent employment with Coca Cola with any Nigerian government job.

The only Nigerian government jobs that pay, are:

NNPC
CBN
FIRS plus they steal a lot

The rest are overrated, they make money mostly through doing corrupt office practices like collecting kickbacks, inflating prices, bribery, sorting money and all those dirty nonsense known in Nigerian government offices which leads them to becoming diabolical to outdo their colleagues or remain in good position.

If you are not ready to become corrupt, become a diabolic witchcraft or wizard that depend on high level juju, become a thief like all those working under Buhari and co, dont accept any Nigerian government job, it's a dirty job filled with corruption and office diabolism.

But at Coca Cola, you have job security once you are a permanent staff. Your growth depends on your performance at work not based on your tribe, religion and spiritual power.

If you are a youth that love your life and want to live a life of integrity, please run from anything Nigerian government job related, they are all dirty peanut jobs,.highly overrated.

They become rich by stealing and looting and doing stupid things

Wow! Thank you so much. I never knew that COCA-COLA is of two types Helenic n NBC. It seems is NBC. In short you really know her mind as far as Canada of a thing is concerned. Thank you once again
advanceDNA:

Is it Hellenic or NBC??.....that’s how my cousin said he got a job with Coca-Cola only for me to find out he got a job with NBC..

If ur sister got a job with a Hellenic..it’s an opportunity of a life time if she’s a full staff...

If she’s a lecturer, I’m assuming she has a PhD...tell her i said she should collect Coca-Cola money...do Canada PR and Japaaaaa..her experience go be hot cake for Canada

Thank you so much for this elaborate explaination. She is after building her bank now. She has msc already quote author=CharisEleos post=104498611]If she's trying to build a career path, let her go for the lecturing job. but if she wants to build her bank account, let her go for the Coca-Cola job.

The latter is a multinational company and will pay well. She'll also enjoy other Ex Gratia and bonuses that the company makes from yearly profits.
I remember when I was with Guinness, Oba Akran Ikeja then.. Lots of benefits for staff.[/quote]
