Computers / Exchange 2007 Internet Mails by yemibee(m): 10:57am On Apr 22, 2009 |
Hi guys, I set up a test lab and am trying to implement a scenario in which i have three domains (xyz.abc.local, uvw.abc.local and abc.com) the first two are internal domains and i want them to act as my client access and "internal Hub" exchange roles. the third abc.com i want as my external hub role or rather my Internet mail server. I want clents to be able to send internal mails within the organisation and to be able to send and receive external mails via the external mail server. Now im quite stuck up with this configuration and how to go about this, (im deploying this cos of limited bandwidth, and want easy retreival of mails within the organisation) Any ideas and advice would be highly appreciated as always. Thanks |

Computers / Clarkconnect Ipsec Vpn Issues by yemibee(m): 9:42am On Oct 22, 2008 |
Hi guys, I have this problem, I have to Clarkconnect gatway servers intalled in two office. I configured a Lan to Lan VPN connection on both systems. Afterwards I was able to ping both internal gateways e.g 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.2.1, but i cant ping any of the addresses on either of the LANs. My best guess is that its a firewall issue, but i have not been able to solve this problem, and i need access to some network resources on both LANs. I would appreciate any assistance. Cheers |

Computers / Re: Dhcp Server Problem: Authorize Problems by yemibee(m): 9:52pm On May 07, 2008 |
@ uspry1 its like you just compounded the guys problem by sending him to doom . Well, if i understand the problem, i guess you ought to first install Active Directory and if its a standalone server like Uspry1 rightly said, you should make it Domain Controller then you can reinstall DHCP and Authorize within the domain, also note that if you might need to install DNS and make it your primary DNS, else you would have some problems with Vista. Cheers, hope it works for you. |
Computers / Re: Pls Does Anyone Know Where Datacom Express Is Located In Lagos? by yemibee(m): 9:44pm On May 07, 2008 |
Datacomm Express is along Commercial Avenue, very close to First Bank, its on the lastfloor and the Sign Board is not to conspicous so you might have to look out for it carefully. Sure you are looking to buy a MikroTik, they are quite reliable and good customer Support. You could call Jide 08030423523/08066340094. Cheers |

Hey, thanks for ur reply. There are no restricted drivers required on the system funny though it does recognise the internal bluetooth adapter. The Wireless adapter is a Dell Wireless MiniCard 1395 WLAN Mini Card. Thanks for the note. Cheers |

Computers / Re: Configuring Thin Client On Hp Proliant Server (ms Window 2003) by yemibee(m): 10:01pm On Feb 24, 2008 |
hi, Have u installed active directory on the server? To run a thin client on a Win 2K3 server you would need to log on to the server, (i.e You would have added the thin client as a member of the domain in which the server resides). That should solve your problem. cheers |

Computers / Re: Slow Vista Is Killing. Some Help Needed Please by yemibee(m): 8:33am On Jan 22, 2008 |
You could delay some of the unneccessary services that are running from startup; type services on the start menu, click on services, right click on the appropriate service (e.g. Cisco VPN Client)and select properties, finally select delay startup. Hope this works. cheers |

Once again I must give a very big thank you for what uve done so far. As regards the info u asked for, The LAN at the Head Office is already up and going, its a single story building and configured with 4 Access points all connected to the radio. There's a Server that would is currently taking care of DNS and AD, its also running SAP for about 5 clients that cunnect to it on a daily basis and an extra 10 as soon as the VPN is up and running so i would be looking at data replication across the WAN. Finally, they are thinking of implementing IP Cameras for conference calls and video calls. Fianlly as regards budgeting plans, the company is New and thus without sufficient funds, so they are thinking of something alot cheaper than CISCO routers, maybe Windows Server 2003 RRAS would do for now. Thanks alot for the diagram, there aare very few of your kind around these days that are ready to let go for nothing, I think is highly commendable. Thanks Once again. Cheers |
Computers / Re: Network Infrastructure Design And Deployment by yemibee(m): 12:35pm On Jan 16, 2008 |
paribus, Thanks man. Its actually a business plan. Ive been hunting for a tool that i cud use to draw my network topology, aint gotten any useful one so far. Secondly, the organisation has a Main Branch with about 50 users, Routing and Remote Access(VPN), Exchange server, AD and DNS wud be implemented. Next there are two branch offices that wud be connected via the VPN Link. Finally, there are two Housing estates that woud also be connected to the Main Office. Hope this information is useful. Thanks alot. |
