While our company, Marana Global Services Ltd is not in any way interested in a media war because that is not professional for us, I will want to take this opportunity to provide a few information to guide the public. First, we will not tolerate a continued blackmail by you/your team regarding ISPON issues. We are a legal entity and if you continue to blackmail us, we will take further steps. Second, we were recently contacted by your team to tell us that we should stop recognizing Dr. Ilodiuba as the President of ISPON. Unfortunately, we are not the one recognizing him. There's an existing judgement from FHC since 2017 confirming him as the President and also confirming the Board of the Institute. That being said, our activities are in line with the law. Third, we have received copies of the said new judgement from FHC Port Harcourt. For us, this is another decision from the same FHC. Instead of showing us another judgement from a court of equal jurisdiction, PLEASE SEND US A DECISION FROM THE APPEAL COURT OVERTURNING THE 2017 decision. Then, we will have reasons to recognize you as the official ISPON. As of now, the legally recognized body that we know is https://ispon.gov.ng under the leadership of Dr. Nnamdi Ilodiuba. And with this body, we are officially recognized as a training provider. If anyone wants to have copies of existing judgement upon which Marana Global operates, please contact us by email: info@maranaglobal.com You may also send a message to the President at president@ispon.gov.ng This is the last reply we will give on a platform like this. Other statements will be made through our official channels. With regards, Fasusi www.maranaglobal.com Oneisponmedia: |

Hi, I have gone through the responses to your question and it's obvious you are being advised by most people who don't understand what ISPON is. I will take this time to explain to you about ISPON and Marana Global Services Ltd. If you have questions about your training, visit https://ispon.gov.ng/services/training ISPON- Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria is the REGULATORY BODY for professional safety practice in Nigeria. In short, this means that unless you are registered by the Institute, you cannot call yourself a safety Professional in Nigeria. If you parade yourself as a safety Professional when you have not been registered, you stand a risk of going to jail. Marana Global Services Ltd is the Accredited Training Provider for ISPON in Nigeria. You can see that when you visit the training page on ISPON website. You can also visit https://maranaglobal.com You were shortlisted for that part scholarship because you applied for it. However, note that your selection doesn't grant you automatic placement in the scholarship training. This you were aware of before you applied. You can see the scholarship page at https://maranaglobal.com/scholarship If you wish not to participate, simply ignore the email that was sent to you. Whether you have NEBOSH or not, you must do ISPON courses as long as Nigeria is concerned. Feel free to contact info@maranaglobal.com or president@ispon.gov.ng if you have more questions. 1 Like |

1. To learn more about the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria, visit the official website at www.ispon.gov.ng 2. For ISPON training, especially in Rivers State, visit www.maranaglobal.com. Distance Learning, Virtual Classes and Regular Classes all available at Marana Global. 3. To become a member or update your ISPON membership status, use the electronic membership portal at www.ispon.emms.ng 4. Contact ISPON President for clarifications: 07033358455 5. Contact Marana Global for training and membership support: 08110141960 Just a few observations: It is true that NEBOSH is globally recognized but it is not correct to say that NEBOSH is superior to ISPON as professional body. ISPON is a government body and a REGULATOR just like OSHA while NEBOSH is simply a professional body. NEBOSH has gained much popularity because of the origin- UK and the oil and gas influence. ISPON is just about six years old under the ISPON Act 2014 and we are already recognized by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. It is obvious that Africa and Nigeria always believe that anything foreign is superior, but here in Nigeria the story is changing because you cannot legally practice in safety unless you are certified by www.ispon.gov.ng, whether you have NEBOSH or not. You cannot also become a registered safety professional simply because you have NEBOSH. So, it is wise to even get ISPON first before going for other international courses if you want to work in Nigeria. ISPON is cheaper and recognized and you will still do it even if you acquire thousands of others elsewhere. 1 Like |
