Men and brethren just finished my interview. The lady on dreadlocks interviewed me.
After the usual pre-check by Paulinus (the guy was actually nice today although he had to leave cos he was sick),told him I didn't have old biographical docs and he said ok. A girl who had two appointment letters was asked to wait n she was there till I entered and left cos I didn't see her @ the reception. I was the 2nd student visa candidate to be interviewed.
The lady did my biometrics, looked @ my cert and was like "University of Benin"? and I muttered yes ma'am.
Fast forward to the interview.... ..

She: what course?
Me: Ethics - Economics,Law n Politics
She: why this course?
Me: as I begin talk she cuts in and said she wants to know what I Wana do with the course,me I sharparly told her I want to be a political and economic consultant and then establish an NGO for awareness and enlightenment
She: you speak English or German
Me: na so me no hear I said English..lol but she said I have Goethe A1 cert, na so I nod head.
She: Sie HeiSen Sir?
Me: I said my name but mehn the next one wey she speak oboi I lost,I just starred @ her like American wonder.lol she was like "oh never mind" lol
She then basically asked me the normal questions we see here but insisted where I want to work here in Nigeria. The question wanted to take me off balance but I had to sharparly tell her I would love to work in the Judiciary but not as a lawyer but consultant on ethics (all way na way biko)
Las Las my interview didn't waste time but she was insisting I fund quickly and repeated it severally.
To all the men I met today and everyone expecting AM including me,no worry God don do am already
To all those yet to be interviewed or expecting AD, e go surely come, don't panic
And to all the fathers and mothers in the house that have contributed immensely,God bless y'all
And finally to that pH guy that cracked us up with his drama making oga Paulinus to send him to the back, oboi u get mind o
God bless everyone

i wish you the best and more......welcome to Germany,E don enter for you. God don do His part...as you have done yours.

wow spot on thanks for this contribution...are the jobs enough? are they high pay? like u said depends on what d individual wants.

9 to 12euro per hour. Student jobs are available and agents that help to get you inventory, cleaning but if you are good in IT,you get those well. The thing is that, sometimes you would have to travel to work in other cities apart from your own.

Whatever you believe you can achieve in Germany can happen just believe in yourself and God. I have seen favour still work here for some Nigerians. There is a boy here, i call him "the man wey his Chi dey work for am".

Germany is way better than America. If anyone should disagree then the person should not be in this thread. My own personal experience as well. Germany is great. Just learn the language.

My white German friend told me that most Germans don't like going to eastern part of Germany...lack of job opportunities and so on, apart from berlin... and also it has high racism...the towns are cheap, with cheap accommodation, and feeding though. that's what he told me, but hr might be wrong

Racism is everywhere but is how you deal with it and most times, you just get does weird stare and sometimes, might not want to seat near you int the train or remove their bags for you to seat. It does not worry me as i love Saxony. For jobs, some students are getting them but they really like you to communicate even with Basic German.

The towns and accommodation are cheap but for me,i am going to see if i can remain in Saxony and especially with the 2years permit they give. If renewing, you do not have to block money again. Since we are under Frieberg.....

I have met some Nigerians that relocated from the big cities to come to the East of Germany to settle and have jobs. But it depends on what an individual wants to achieve here in Germany.

My 50euro contribution.

I started in 2017 april I think I met the thread in part 3,towards the end( I made sure I read part 2 and over 300 pages for part 3) was present in the opening ceremony of part 4.

My admission testimony was in part 4,

May AM,visa testimony in Part 5,

I started this dream with 50kobo at hand. I had to share DHL space with my friend cos money no dey to send am.
But favour remembered me just 7 days before my interview ,my confirmation from fintiba came the night before my interview.

Ppl said it was a slim chance for me getting the visa cos I am going for another Bsc after so long , but I went ahead and took the chane. Today it's a different story.

What am I saying here have faith, believe and keep firm to your dreams. If it can happen to me it will happen for you.
I have wanted to leave Nigeria for schooling abroad since I wrote my waec in 2000 but no green light until 18 years later.

Never say never.

. So is it possible for someone to open N26 from Nigeria here. If yes what are the needed requirements to do so.

Possible if you have an accommodation. For me, my school needed me to pay for my accommodation which I did in Nigeria. This made me have an address but I just remembered that you have to fill in your phone number as well.

Try it first and see. Guess you can definitely change your phone number when you get here. But N26 is so easy to open.

Requirements would be sent shorty.....

1. I don't have an address in Germany apart from my Uni's address and N26 requests for my address. Is there anyway around that?
2. How is the city registration done? How many days does the whole process it take?

1. I had an address already.... Accommodation in school. Now, you really need an address so N26 posts your ATM card to you.

It just means still you get here but opening N26 is really easy.

2. Every city is different in terms of registering. My city Mittweida registered me immediately I enter the office... It's a walk-in and get- registered process.

But other cities, you might need to book an appointment

is n26 better than DeutscheBank or Sparkasse ?

Is good to have both N26 and Deutsche bank. I opened Sparkasse for all deductions to come from there.

A friend here advised best is Deutsche bank.

N26 gives me fast service - transferring cash made easy.

Hope it helps.

Unblocked Xpatrio in 4days after getting city registration, N26 and enrollment letter.

Advice: Just open N26 before you land here....
For Xpatrio, you are left with providing the city registration and enrollment with the details of your bank details filled on Activation form 07.

You get a mail that your money would be sent to N26 within 3-5 working days.

Whenever you unblock they send the first cash... afterwards is 1st of every month.

I used dollar account to transfer to my Xpatrio. My friends used euro account to transfer to Fintiba.

You have to check the charges for transfer and Form A. Gtbank did me, my friend used Access bank.

I don't like story that tells more stories. So all up to you. What is the difference of charges with Form A and Transfer.

I planned on buying ticket on the 6th week but cos of bible school i couldnt and said i would buy on Saturday.
But as God would have it, while inside bible class during our 1hr break I took my phone to check for ppl that have gotten AM today. Next thing I saw my AM had arrived by 10:42 Am.

Well, i took an uber taxi from my hotel in lekki phase 1 to the embassy(we even drove passed it) , its close to Netherland embassy and a security dog was chained at the entrance of the German embassy ..Anyways, I left the hotel by 5am got to embassy by 5:30am....then I greeted the men behind the glass with my most gorgeous smile ever (for my mind I thought Paulinus was one of them)....anyways sha, the security guys told me to stand on the pavement that I am first online, as I stood, 5 minutes later people started coming.....anyways sha, I started my kabashing!(speaking in tongues and praising God)....and then I saw him...OGA PAULINUS. ...I gave him my most sweetest smile and this guy DID NOT even give me the slightest nod...He just told all of us to come in, he arranged some chairs and told us to start arranging our documents as he shouts it out....If u see the way he was making some guys shake with his haughty attitude (no, if God mistakenly give this guy presidency, he will turn to King Herod)...The little power that man has is intoxicating him.... (later, I will pray for him)....

anyways sha, he eventually delayed me and made me the 4th on line, but it was the plan of God because his delay gave me the best VO ever...chai. ..

I entered and he told me to pick the phone, I did
VO: Hi
Me: Good morning sir
VO: Smiled
VO: Let's go
Me: Sir, please I want to show u these documents, I was mistakenly sent to Abuja, did the interview but few minutes to the end, it was cancelled and these are the documents, my prints and info were taken, I just thought to inform u first
VO: it's alright, thanks for telling me, however I don't think it's valid anymore, we will do a new one
Me: Okay
VO: So, what are u going to study and which school and where
Me: BSc in Health Informatics at Deggendorf Institute of Technology at the European Campus in Pfarrkirchen (lower Bavaria, Rottal Inn)
VO: Bachelors?
Me: yes
VO: Do u have a previous Bachelors?
Me: No,
VO: Oh, so why Germany and not uk
Me: high tuition fee
VO: Where are ur parents and siblings
Me: told him
VO: Okay, tell me what u know about Germany
Me: Beautiful country, surrounded by 9 countries, Denmark in the North, Austria and Switzerland in the south....(told him everything)
VO: what else
Me: I don't know again sir, let me think....yes, the office of the Chancellor is called the washing machine, also Germany has the biggest train station
VO: Ok. .(he smiles) and where is it located?
Me: ( oh Lord)...am sorry, I really don't know
VO: it's in Berlin
Me: okay, thank u, I will research more on that....but I also know German language has 35 dialects
VO: wow...so have u been learning the language and how?
Me: yes I have been learning through YouTube, duolingo
VO: introduce urself in German
Me: mein name ist Chichi, ich bin eine Frau, die Jesus liebt. Ich bin ein Christ
VO: hahaaaaaaaaa (his laughter really shocked me, I thought I was on point)...Please wait (he turns on the loudspeaker on his phone and tells another VO to listen)...Please dear, say that thing again
Me: (I repeat my german)
2nd VO:hahaaaaaaaaa. ..what! is she speaking spanish
Me: am sorry, I really thought I was on point!
VO: No u need to learn more! So why this school, why this course, tell me more about the school and course
Me: told him (thank God for our WhatsApp group)
VO: plans after ur bachelors?
Me: told him ( God bless my course mates on my WhatsApp group)
VO: so what else have u been doing towards ur travel
Me: (showed him a printout of the convo I had with someone who I have been discussing with about my accommodation and she was asking I pay)
VO: oh this is really nice, u can go ahead and pay for the accommodation ..do u have any other question for me?
Me: no
VO: alright we will communicate with u via email and since u stay in abuja, u can courier ur passport to us and we will send u, ur visa with ur passport, back to u, using ur prepaid envelope....ok bye
Me: bye, thank u
I came out smiling like one crazy woman and u won't believe that those 3guys where still in the interview room, I even heard one of the VO angrily asking one guy to state his date of birth again and again and this guy was guessing up and down, he couldn't say the exact date on his passport! !

On my way out those useless security was asking me "anything for the boys"..I asked them "what did the boys do for me, please I don't have nothing for any boys"...I hissed and walked away, went to Winners Supermarket and bought me some amazing Walnut crossiant jare! Mtcheeeewwww
Advice: just be honest and be real and commit it all into God's hands

Also most of these questions were repeated and repeated....I said the course and school like 3times

My boss has already told you that u can courier your passport and ur visa on ur passport page. AM confirmed

Hello guys, I did my interview today, this nairaland forum has been of great help to a lot of us, I want to appreciate everyone. So my transcript...

I got to the embassy at 5:30am, I was the second person on the queue. Since I stay very far from VI I had to lodge. God bless the person that informed us of the lodge at Bonny Camp, that place is preferable for me cos I left my lodge at 5:15 and in 15 minutes time I was at the embassy on foot trekking. The name of the lodge I stayed is 'Sappers Lodge', I used the 7k. Please I will advise that in order to secure the room, try and book early cos they have very few of those rooms and they are always booked out.

So back to the event of the day, because of what I learnt here I ignored all those people at d park trying to get money for one thing or the other, I just went in with my envelope of documents.

Oga Paulinus arrived at 6am, carried out his usual arrangement by this time we were up 20 on the queue. At 7am He called people for students visa to come in and announced to us how to arrange or documents according how he calls it. Please I will advice that with a paper clip you should attach your original to your 2 photocopies so that it will be easier to arrange. While I was there, Oga Paulinus sent 2 guys to the back because they were slow in arranging their documents, just be calm and follow his instructions, ignore his shouting and be focused because if u r allow it get to you, you will be destabilized.

At 7:15, those of us that our documents were arranged were called in for interview, I was praying not to get the lady everyone complains about even though I had prepared. So I entered the and lo and behold it was the dark guy, I first of smiled:

V.O.: Can I have your documents please?

V.O.: What course and you going for and where is it located? Which state?

V.O.: When did you finish school and what have you been doing since you left school?

V.O.: Can I have your Visa fee of N27000

V.O.: Private or Public School?

V.O.: Have you funded your Blocked Account? With how.much

V.O: How much is your tuition?

V.O.: Have you paid any amount to the school?

V.O.: Who is your sponsor?

V.O.: Why this course?

V.O.: Why Germany and not US, UK or any other English speaking country?

V.O.: What's your plan after your study?

V.O.: Tell.me key facts about Germany and please be specific

V.O.: Your bachelor's thesis?

V.O.: That will be all, we will communicate to you via mail, he gave me back my passport and the receipt of payment

In my mind I was so that's it, I just thank my God as I was walking out of the Embassy, even the guys at the security we're surprised that it was fast, the guy we entered together was still being fired questions by the lady... I left the embassy at 7:45, feeling so relieved.
I give God all the glory. Once again guys, thank you very much for your help and support.

Contact by mail... Na acceptance mail... AM. Congratulations.... Is waiting you go wait but AM would show sooner than you think.

good evening frnds,Please i have a question here that is bordering me. i got msc admission in june and booked appointment immimediatly,i was surprised to see 20 of sept as my appointment date while my enrollment deadline is 10th of september. but it was later extended till october 5th .the school advised me to authorize my brother in germany to enroll me while i process my visa.lectures are starting 1st of october, please how will this affect my visa processing, will it lead to automatic rejection ?also how long does student visa processing take when applying with sponsorship letter?please i need your answers as these are bordering me too much.

My one euro opinion is:

If you can print out the mails you have had with the school on enrollment and the extension.
Coupled with them advising you to authorize your brother to enrol for you as well.

It could help. But I guess other friends of ours here, can give you a better plan.
