IF your D4 is blinking, it means your Transmission is on its way to the grave, most likely a Bad but replaceable Solenoid in the Trans or the Trans itself is dying.....we can only confirm this by scanning the Car.

if your D4 is blinking, then the car should have thrown a Code......scan the car, and post the Code here.

i have some questions:

1...what was the problem with the other Trans which you took out, did you scan the car to know the fault before taking it out?

2...does the Transmission(s) slip or drag at any of the gears 1-4 or 5 (both the old and new) ?

3...where did you buy the new Trans from? did you get a warranty on it ?

Yes in almost ALL cases in the User Manuals of the most common cars in Nigeria, it is advised to changed your Oil and Filter under the "Severe Schedule", i.e. 2,000 miles.

but in reality, DO NOT WAIT till even the 2,000 miles thing IF using the regular Oils (e.g. 20W50, etc).......change your Oil and Filter at 1,500 - 1600 miles MAX and you Engine, Seals etc will last beyond what you expected.

even at 1,500 miles IN THIS PART OF THE WORLD, there are some very tiny amounts of sludge in the expelled oil due to the weather and the driving and road conditions, just that you don't notice it.

and NO, you are not wasting your money.....how could anyone have such a gross thought when spending money to protect you and your car from future colossal failure expenses and unexpected disappointments?

finally i have the V.I.N. / Chassis Number for the Accord '07 V6 with NAVIGATION System, it is:

please look it up online too, i've just recieved ALL the Manuals (User, Navi, etc) today and the spare keys along with other car's own.

i'm told it shipped last week, so hopefully, by end of third week in this month MARCH, say 21st - 24th, it should have arrived Lagos Port here.


as soon as its cleared customs, i will snap and scan and mail the pictures to you.
