Hi everyone,

Tips on getting great scores, as well as personal experience in Writing and speaking will be appreciated. Thanks.

Check Youtube for Speaking Band 8 and 9 videos and observe carefully. The broader the range of vocabulary the better, complex construction and sentences you use in the writing and speaking will help you as well. Also the chain of thought and fluidity in your expressions all count towards at least an 8 in the Writing and Speaking.

Make I modify my typos before Wura27 go start dey "broda broda" me cheesy

I am impressed. Do you also have CCNA?

That was my first cert after graduating from Uni. Currently have a CCIE RS plus some Juniper and Alcatel-Lucent certs. Good prospects?

Hello All. Please I have a question. I have gotten ITA and I am preparing my documents for submission this week or next week. I am the principal applicant but I am going with my husband. We did our medicals and mine was good but he has high BP and we were not able to get it down all day. My question is this- How much does his high BP (150/100)affect our chances of positive feedback on our application?

Also please is there a whatsapp group I can join?

No mind the BP wahala, I had a similar case on my medicals but I passed. Nevertheless steps must be taken to normalize it for general well being and good health. All the best in your application.

Are you serious?
By the way, it isn't about the number but instead it is about keeping to date with the technology.
You may have 10 certificates but if they are dated 1999, they are just as useless.

Hahaha, not outdated, 10 very current and up to date certs sir wink

All I can say is that North America (Canada & USA) is the land of opportunities. Nothing can stop you to achieve what you want except yourself. I have seen people with degree in history switching to IT. So, you can do it. Just keep upgrading your skills each year by getting different certificate in IT and you will be fine.

The more the better?? grin I'm at 10 now...Should I double it? Lol

Planning on getting married before moving...

So is it easier to add wifey after getting my PPR than waiting till after PR, That's after completing the whole process. . .?

In plain English, should I wait till I get my PR or before I get PR to add wifey?

Hope my question is clear enough... Phew.

Best is to add her after PPR bro...after PR can extend the timelines annoyingly. Ultimately the two of you need to be able to make a decision and support each other through the process no matter how long it might tentatively take. Cheers..

So worse case scenario for her getting it before/after PR is how many months?

Worse case after PR to sponsor a spouse outside Canada is 18 months, inside Canada is 24 months ( to avert arranged marriages i guess)

You can only get help if people are knowlegable about your question. My advice is to Google and research as much as you can as opposed to waiting for an answer ON NL.

Your best bet would be to search on linkedin for agric professionals. I know Canada is big on exporting wheat, canola, grains and beef. Canola industry alone in Canada is worth $1.2B a year. You would have to look at the prairies (Southern Manitoba, Southern Saskatchewan and southern Alberta) in that order. A few pics of farm fields I come across often times. Wheat, bins, corn, and Canola.

@Salford1 Someone was looking for "the guy who posts pictures" recently ooh. Thanks for relieving his famine wink

No Banks in Nigeria will sell dollars to you except it's for PTA or BTA (Personal / Business Travel Allowance)and you must have a valid visa and ticket to the country. So, most people go to the black market to purchase and fund their dorm accounts.

Ah ok, makes sense now. Thanks grin

Either get a friend or relative with an international card to help out and you pay naira or open a Dorm acct in Nigeria, buy dollars from black market and load of your card.

In my case, got someone to fund my BoA account and I paid her in Naira. It's what she does. She also helps people make international payments I believe...

Great job you guys are doing.Apologies to ask this question. No harm intended, i'm not Nigerian so don't know the situation inland but I see a lot of people suggesting to buy dollars from "black market" ie through unofficial channels like individuals etc I suppose. Why this route? Is getting dollars from the bank/forex bureau difficult, or is it a way to avoid their high charges and get more dollars for your Naira? The only reason I would be compelled to go to the black market is when I want to change dollars and get a higher rate because of the lower rates of the forex/banks. Even that is not a norm, I believe most people in my jurisdiction deal more with the official market than black market. Some clarity will be appreciated

What is your CRS score? Ontario PNP is currently nominating people with 400 and less in particular NOC codes including 2281/2282. Maybe recreating your profile since the review a week ago might give you that boost you need. Link below

To all who have contributed, I am filled with so much gratitude for expirence you have selflessly poured out, God bless you all.
To call you Gurus, is an understatement, you are more that Gurus. Thank you once again.

I notice two thing by ready from the first page to the last that:
1. Not so much has been said about Winnipeg Manitoba as compared to other province. Could anyone please open up the needful as regards this province?

2. What is the prospect for an Agribusiness Consultant with about 14 years work experience, with a first Degree in Botany, Post Graduate In Crop Protection and MBA In Agribusiness (all degrees obtained in Nigeria)? Taking into perspective that Certification and work experience in Canada are prioritised over and above degrees not obtained in Canada?

3. Where would be the best province to settle as per job/business opportunities with someone in the Agricultural Sector?

Is their anyone living in Manitoba with useful information on the above?

What is the agricultural industry like in Winnipeg Manitoba?

Do you need to be certified? And what type of certification would be best?

Thank you.

Bro, I see you've been on this for about 2 weeks with no response. I guess not many or no-one here might be able to give you the info you need. I did a Google search on Agriculture in Canada and came up with this link which could be a starting point for your study and further research. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agriculture_in_Canada
Cheers and all the best!!

Money in ur account is not enough. I.e standard chartered bank charges 3% of the amount u want to pay. They call it conversion rate or something. Make sure u have this amount plus the amount u want to pay in ur domiciliary account

No, the issue was my own doing...I was entering some card details incorrectly hence the unsuccessful payment. How did you know I was using Stanchart card by the way? I'm very puzzled by this

Hi Ajuju2,
I know I've read on several posts that this mixup of order doesn't matter. But is there any particular order to the numbers that show on the eAPR. I see 1-5 on mine and I just assumed it is in reverse chronological order and uploaded my references in same order from current job to oldest. Or is it just a random arrangement for "all play all"? Seniors in the house can you weigh in on this too. My eAPR is ready for submission today jejely wink

For anyone who cares to know, your work references should be uploaded in reverse chronological order if there are multiple placeholders in your profile. So if they are listed from 0-4 your most current job goes in 0 and so forth and so on. Not that it is supposed to make any difference to your application but it just gives the reviewer less work having to figure out which uploaded reference is for which job role. Cheers!!

Hello my people.
Please i did an upfront medical for canada study visa in May 2017 at consultant practice. I need to know if i can still use same medical report for submission on EE. if yes, do i need the hospital to do anything? i called in but the receptionist seem not sure . i am submitting my application this July

The medical form has a section which indicates what the medical exam will be used for. If it indicates for "student visa" or something related to that i'm not too sure if you can use it for your PR application as it is stated as being for "Worker". I also don't know if it's the same tests that are conducted for student visa applicants as well as for PR. I'm sure someone here can speak better to this.

Cheers!!

The payment should reflect almost immediately and you will get a transaction receipt. I think your payment didn't go through so you have to try again.

Hmm, that's not good news. Can't do anything on the eAPR profile now too because it indicates as "Processing Payment"

Hello Guys,
How long did it take for the payment after submission of eAPR to reflect? I just submitted mine and the page said DECLINED - TRANSACTION NOT APPROVED and the note below indicating "Call for Authorization" but the eAPR profile says Payment Processing. I read something about it taking 24 hours to reflect just before I submitted.
Thanks

Gave me a decent clear size under 4MB with other docs for POF...Paystubs+annual bonus award...Or do these have to also go in LOE?
