This applies to Government owned houses only.
Anything other than that would be seen as a ploy by Lagos state government to transfer Igbo owned houses to Yorubas tenants.

oduastates:
You are comparing ekiti to river state.A state with a monthly allocation less than amaechi's jet. River state has the pleasure of deciding what she has to spend money on, Ekiti doesn't .you either do the last century programs or you tailor your economy toward the Economy of the future.
For instance , stomach infrastructure has turned delta state into a place that river state is totally owning.port harcourt used to be a village when compared to warri. In fact , Sapele used to be a boom town.Lagos would have totally lost out to Accra or even Cotonou if not for the revenue drive of tinubu /fashola.
So what did Fayemi do for his people apart from building a government lodge for himself?
Name them.
Remember all the talk was about how Fayemi concenterated on real infrastructure?
We want names now.
Ekiti people are not fools, I believe.
Politics / Re: Jonathan's PR Offensive Backfires In Nigeria And Abroad by Yoritshekiri: 12:10am On Jul 09, 2014
I can't believe people are buying this Fayemi crap APC sold as an excuse to their failure.
The truth is that Fayemi did nothing both in terms of stomach infrastructure and real infrastructure, I don't believe Ekiti people are fools to vote out a performing governor.
Take Rivers for an example, when Odili was governor, he was moving from place to place giving widows rice, money, giving traditional rulers new cars every year, giving youths hefty cash to share amongst themselves, he did little in terms of infrastructure but at least he was distributing money around and his people loved him for that and voted him in for a second tenure.
Amaechi came in and stopped the distribution of money and food, the traditional rulers wanted to complain when they saw that they were no longer being given cars every year but they quickly noticed that the roads to their kingdoms were getting better and better and they no longer needed to change their cars every year, the widows wanted to complain of not receiving cahs and foodstuffs anymore but they observed that they were sending their children to standard government schools with world class facilities free of charge, with even uniforms and books paid for by the government, they realised that they could take their kids to a nearby government clinic and get proper health care free of charge, so they shut up. The youths wanted to complain about lack of cash handouts but they noticed that they were getting jobs because of the improved security and infrastructure in the state which attracted more investments and they could fend for themselves. They all ended up voting Amaechi overwhemingly for a second tenure.
Those are cases of the 2 type of infrastructures we have in Nigeria today, the people responded positively to both.
Fayemi did NOTHING in Ekiti, I dare anyone to prove me wrong!

ISpiksDaTroof:

Youre not making any sense, Adebolajo and his co-defendant were British through and through, unlike ,say, Yourself, GEJ, Shekau or Asari Dokubo.

All Im asking is : IF THE NORTHERN TERROR ELEMENTS REALLY WISH TO GO AFTER THEIR 'ENEMIES' (OUTSIDE NORTHERN NIGERIA) WHY HAVENT THEY ATTACKED EASTERN NIGERIA, FOR EXAMPLE? WHY ATTACK THE ONLY 'ALLIES' THEY HAVE AT THE MOMENT?

In any case, Western Intelligence believes your Federal Government (based on its separatist agenda on assuming power) is behind a good number of these attacks. This is not to say Islamic Terrorists havent now become involved, but that your Federal Govt (headed by GEJ and supervised by Edvin Clark, Alamagehsia ect) came into power with aims of splitting the country by promoting fear, suspicion and religious and tribal intolerance amongst the various groups making up Nigeria. So far that has not worked. It is not that complex of an issue to understand if you really look deep into it. The only problem is most Nigerians haven chosen to be blinded by hate, plus the fact that most of them are not mentally astute to think deeply and logically; as can be seen by the kinds of elements that make up you rulers.

P.S: Go read up on Henry Okah and familiarize yourself with his criminal case in South Africa then you'll understand a bit more what is truly going on in your country.
You are the one who isn't making any sense whatsoever.
If Adebolajo and Adebowale were truly British as you claim, what about Babafemi? What makes you think the can't bring their jihad home?
As for the talk about South west being allies to the north, it is absolute rubbish and has no bearing whatsoever on boko haram and their attacks. They are killing their people, traditional rulers, destroying their own lands and yet you feel the savages wouldn't attack the South west because of some imaginary ''political friendship''? Don't make me laugh!
They haven't attacked the South east not because they don't want to, but because they have been thwarted several times and wouldn't be given an inch to succeed there, that is why you Yorubas are pained when measures are taken to prevent such in the east.
As for saying Boko haram is only interested in the north, you need to watch Shekau's last video and get the translations.

ISpiksDaTroof: Ask yourselves these questions and try to answer it truthfully:

Why would the North want to attack the West?

Who benefits more if the Yorubas and the Northerners start fighting and killing themselves.

Now you know where to look if an attack occurs in the South West.
But the north is attacking the north, aren't they?
Now if they can attack and kill themselves and destroy their own land, what makes you think they can't attack the South west out of the kindness of their hearts??
Besides the article said something about the possibility of a local insurgency in the south west. Now looking at the exploits of the likes of Adebolajos and Babafemis of this world, you will agree with me that South west muslims have all it takes to maintain and sustain their own terrorists group.
Whatever the case, it was a bomb attack!

Politics / Lagos Fuel Depot Blast Definitely A Bomb Attack - AFP Investigation by Yoritshekiri: 2:43pm On Jul 08, 2014

Lagos (AFP) - Nigerian authorities, battling to stem an escalating Islamist insurgency, covered up a bomb attack in the financial capital Lagos by claiming a blast near a major fuel depot was an industrial accident, according to an AFP investigation. The explosion ripped through an area of Nigeria's
biggest city on June 25, just hours after a suspected Boko Haram car bombing in the administrative capital Abuja, which killed 21 people and stoked fresh fears that the group's deadly campaign was spreading. The Lagos blast in the Apapa district, on a main road feeding Nigeria's busiest port and in an area
housing most of the city's fuel depots, was blamed on a cooking gas cylinder which exploded, with no casualties. But AFP has seen photographs of the scene showing a destroyed car plus damage to surrounding vehicles, which the British Army's former head of bomb disposal said left no doubt as
to the cause. "This was definitely an incident involving the use of high explosives," Bob Seddon, an Iraq and Afghanistan veteran and a specialist in improvised explosive devices (IEDs), told AFP in an email
exchange after reviewing the images. "The type of blast effects and fragmentation pattern you would get from a gas explosion are quite different," the former Royal Logistics Corps colonel said, assessing that 25-50 kilos (55-110 pounds) of improvised high explosive were used. Senior foreign diplomats also indicated privately that the blast was deliberate, attributing the official
denials to fears over the potential effects of a
confirmed first attack on Lagos, which drives the country's economy. - 'Militant attack' - The first suggestions of an attack appeared on
social networking sites after 8:30 pm (1930 GMT) on June 25 and in local media the following day but failed to gain wider attention because of government denials and the focus on the deadly Abuja bombing. Flat denials or no comment from the government are not uncommon in Nigeria, particularly involving
Boko Haram, whose five-year insurgency has
intensified in the northeast and seen almost daily attacks. But questions have lingered about the Apapa incident because Lagos, in the southwest of the country, has so far escaped the violence. Lagos is home to some 20 million people as well as major overseas companies in key sectors such as oil and gas. The city is also seen as a gateway to trade in the wider west Africa region. There has been no claim of responsibility and Lagos state police have launched an investigation. Federal government spokesman Mike Omeri, who deals with homeland security issues, told AFP the probe would "look at all issues... whether it is IEDs, car bombings or accidents". Political and security consultants Control Risks, which has an office in Lagos, said the Apapa blast was a bombing that killed at least four people,
according to a briefing note seen by AFP that it sent to foreign business and government clients. "Drawing on eyewitness sources, Control Risks assesses that the incident was a militant attack rather than an industrial accident," the group's senior West Africa analyst, Roddy Barclay, said in a separate interview.
- Increased security -
Since June 25, the Lagos state government has ordered tighter security at key fuel and infrastructure installations, and beefed up state hospitals' capacity to deal with mass casualty emergencies. State health commissioner Jide Idris said measures included increasing blood stocks and buying new ambulances as well as putting all emergency units on stand-by. But he maintained the measures were only because of the countrywide state of alert. Seddon's analysis and Control Risks' assessment chimed with the accounts of seven eye-witnesses interviewed by AFP, who all said independently that there were two explosions. The first happened in and around the gates of the Folawiyo fuel depot on Creek Road while the second minutes later when a Toyota Sienna people carrier exploded in the road nearby, they said. "I was on duty that night," said security guard Samuel George. "All of a sudden, we heard a loud explosion and we quickly shut the gate... Some minutes later, a car that was parked in the middle of the road exploded. "My colleague and I were hit by broken pieces of metal from the car. I had a deep cut on my face and head and since then have not been able to work.
Many people were killed, including those I knew," the 25-year-old added. Another local worker added: "I don't know why the government is lying. The explosions were
nothing short of bombings."
Claims that the first explosion was caused by a female suicide bomber could not be verified with
certainty.
- 'Islamist sympathisers' -
The head of the Yinka Folawiyo Group of
Companies, which runs the fuel depot, has denied that the blast happened inside the facility and dismissed reports of fatalities, according to local media. [b]A US government official said Boko Haram had the "operational reach to get to Lagos" but only Control Risks has so far directly linked the bombing to the
group. But Barclay qualified: "The incident is likely to have been staged by a local Islamist network rather than being planned and coordinated by Boko Haram's core leadership in the northeast." Local groups have more parochial agendas, he added. Further attacks were credible, probably on "soft targets", but the bombing did not necessarily signa the start of a "sustained insurgency" in Lagos, he said.

Politics / Chibok Girls: Dialogue With Insurgents, Sultan Tells FG by Yoritshekiri: 11:35am On Jul 08, 2014

Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III has
renewed his call on the Federal Government for proper dialogue with insurgents in the wake of security challenges in the country. The Sultan made the call in Sokoto yesterday, at his
yearly Ramadan dinner with journalists in the state.
He said the plight of over 200 Chibok girls
abducted by insurgents in Borno State should call for serious concern among all stakeholders. “One wonders if the schoolgirls abducted were our children, wouldn’t you dialogue to rescue them unhurt? Dialogue does not mean you are losing your face,” he said. He urged the Federal Government to learn from the American government that swapped five Taliban commanders for a citizen to save his life. “The Federal Government must implore all avenues to free these schoolgirls. The fate of the common man solely lies in the hands of the leaders.
Therefore, Nigerians must be concerned about who to choose as their leaders,” the Sultan said. He urged security agencies not to relent in their confrontation with the insurgents, describing the security personnel as the last hope of the common man as far as security was concerned. The Sultan identified the political class as the real problem of the country, stressing that what was happening in the country was not caused by religious issues. His words: “Let us find a solution to the current insecurity in the land. Politicians are our greatest problem today. What is happening now is about political positions or struggle. It is people that cause all these problems, not spirits. If 2015 election is
shifted now, everywhere will calm down.”
The monarch, however, challenged the leaders in the country to rule well and be responsive, adding that “things are getting worse because there is injustice and hunger in the land. I pray to God to provide food to all Nigerians and good leaders.” He also urged Nigerians to turn to God and imbibe the spirit of tolerance, pointing out that “God that brought us together as Muslims and Christians knew what He did.” Also speaking at the event, the Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Most Revd. Matthew Kukah, urged Nigerians to be united and protect the integrity of the country.

oilykid: ode, use your brain for God's sake!! They were arrested by the Nigerian army which comprises the entire tribes and not Igbo.I wonder when you people will stop blaming the igbos for your problems.
The Nigerian army has been arresting and detaining many northerners in the west accussing them of being bokoharam members, nobody brought ethnicity into it neither did the northerners accuse the yorubas of unlawful detention of the northerners. The same Nigerian army did the same thing here in the east, all hell was let loosed.Everybody started blaming the Igbo and started accusing them of genocide.is that not hypocrisy ?? I just hope and pray one day that this country divides and let everybody go on his own to end all this nonsense.

meanwhile, here the link to the news of how northerners has been arrested and detained in by army in the west and no body tribalized the incident :m.premiumtimesng.com/news/141874-nigerian-army-arrest-42-boko-haram-suspects-in-lagos-ogun.html
The police arrested several BZM members in Enugu, we didn't hear Igbos lamenting about it.
Over the weekend, 220 harmless massob members were arrested in Owerri by soldiers, no one heard Igbos complain.
This shoud give you an idea of those who are the problem with Nigeria.
Yorubas complain even more than those arrested.
