I need help. Months back, I had a 6 units of battery, 10kva 48volts inverter and 14 panels installed for me. Though, only 4 batteries are running at the moment and the other two are just connected to charge.

Recently, I noticed a drop. The backup doesn’t last at all. This system usually takes me 24 hours and repeat if there’s no light. But now, once the sun goes down, it doesn’t serve past 6 hours sef that’s even if I’m running just a rechargeable fan and a light bulb. Then, this system would take me till dawn even with my fridge on and I won’t use past 40% of the total charge overnight.

Initially, I thought it was the charge controller so I had one of my boss swap his charge controller with mine, but no changes. Then I realized that when I charge with NEPA, it works very fine. But when I charge with solar, it doesn’t last at all. Meanwhile… I have 14 whole panels.

One of my boss said that dusts has covered the panels due to the harmattan that we need to clean the panels panels which we did.

In summary, system lasts and works very fine when charged with NEPA, but doesn’t last at all when I charge with solar panel.

What could be the issue? I’ve been substituting with fuel because our light is not always constant.

Please, help a brother.

You can get a digital voltmeter to monitor the battery voltage, just make sure you charge the battery fully before you use it again. Your battery voltage on your charge controller should read around 59.2v when fully charged

When I charged the system, it had less than 3% load and it didn't even last up to 7 hours. I had two ceiling fans on, a standing fan and a fridge. At about 12am last night that I noticed two bars bad dropped on the screen, I decided to turn off the freezer even though I know it's not consuming much energy. Less than 3 hours later, the system was low and was already sounding the alarm.

Now, I'm not sure if the system is fully charged or not. I don't even know how to determine if it's fully charged.

I intend to power a 1.5hp inverter ac with 60% energy savings, alongside a 65 inch TV, sound bar, two laptops, a fridge and lightings in a 3 bedroom apartment.

The system was installed on Saturday evening and I charged it with the panels on Sunday and was also asked to charge it when there's Electricity which I did for about 4 hours. I ran the system overnight and it didn't last long as expected.
Now, I don't even know how to differentiate if the system is fully charged or not.
Please help.

A 48v inverter requires batteries in multiple of 4s. Lets get this one clear first.

I had recently installed a 10kva 48volts invter and solar systems running on 6 batteries and the invter didn't even last up to 6 hours before it went off running on a about 3% loads. Does anyone here have an idea of what could be wrong? I really need help. The installers aren't helping.
