[size=14pt]This image was edited. Take the keywords of that tweet and search for it on twitter. The original tweet was made by @wizkidayoo (which is a parody account). Someone took a screenshot of the tweet by the original poster (@wizkidayoo) and wiped off the last 'o' in his handle!

Phones / Re: Android With Dstv Mobile? by youngbobby(m): 4:59am On Jun 08, 2011
Chuckdee:

^^^
Thats not quite correct. Your device just having wifi does not qualify it to work with the drifta, you still need an app for the iphone or a software to be installed on your PC for it to work. DSTV do not have this app yet for the android devices so they are not supported even for the Nokia and black berry fones with wifi, it won't work.

You have to get an IOS enabled device to use the drifta (Ipod, iphone and Ipad) or better still get one of the DVB-H compactible nokia phones and use it w/out the drifta.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Chuck, I thought as much after reading ebizguy's reply. I was thinking that there might be a DVB-H compatible phone that uses Android OS. I don't think any Nokia phone does for now.

Thanks again

Hi Everyone,

I'm in a confused mood right now. I want to get an Android mobile phone but I'm not too sure if any of them support DSTV Mobile? Does anyone have any info relating to this.

Having a *..com account does not entail alot.

The content of the blog tells alot of stories. Some people end up writing poems in theirs. #veryFunny though.

The only Nigerian blog (apart from mine) that I visit twice a day is MobilityNigeria. It's the only blog that I 've seen that my standard.

Webmasters / Re: The Best Nigerian Websites You Have Seen! by youngbobby(m): 10:24pm On Apr 21, 2011
Building a website that is completely flash based is NOT hard work!!!

The Truth is that the couple of sites I have seen built by Nigerians keep giving me the impression that the people that built them were trained by one person and I wish someone could prove me wrong that they are not using already made templates.

If someone doubts me, let him or her have a professional look at the two websites posted above this reply and see that they somehow look like something done by Charlie Chaplin. #SoDumb

Dual Core:

^^ wetin I dey talk be say instead of mailing zohn, ada, ekaette, immabong, ubong, zames and eddidiong the script and then each of dem go run go install am to start their own facebook site wey no go make any sense in the end cuz e no go survive pass one year.  E go better if all of them come together make dem work on just one instance of the script and since na opensource dem develop am dey go, to extend its functionalities.

I been show one guy the script some time back and him talk sey but the thing no fit do this or that naw and i tell am sey . . ."dude its opensource, you can make a babe dance on a pole in the site if you want".

Damn, my fingers hurt. Its takes more brain juice just typing pidgin for so long.

Mate, you have just spoken my mind!! Nigerians never get tired of open source stuffs. So many people have already rushed off to buy domains sef!

Getting the script is one thing, getting members is another!

i think you should finish the script first, then try selling in a foreign forum you can make up to 2000 bucks from this.

Thanks for the tip, but read the reply before yours. 2000 bucks? I assume you mean in dollars?

You forgot to tell us how you saw him. Did he walk in with his legs? OR Did he use Senator John Udoedehe Browser? The last time I checked, you detect visitors from their User Agents so how did you do yours??

OR HAVE YOU BEEN PEEPING AROUND PEOPLE'S HOMES WATCHING THEIR BROWSING ACTIVITIES LMGDFAO cheesy

emeka.D.:

nice work, love the sliders

think you should change your post title to shopping cart cms for sale or something like that, good luck

Done! Thanks for the tip smiley

talk2hb1:

Why dont you finish the software n donate it to the open source community. you make your money through customization and support.

LOL, I keep having a feeling that most of the Nigerian sites out there are results from open source scripts. It's very bad. If I should do it like you've just said, they'll make it open source then you'll see thousands of Nigerians using it and there's definitely no INTEGRITY in that. If the script used by eBAY, facebook, twitter and the likes were open source, those companies won't be at the level that they are in right now. No much talk though, THE truth is that if nobody is buying this, it'll remain in my archive till whenever.
Webmasters / Shopping Cart CMS for sale by youngbobby(m): 9:15pm On Apr 16, 2011
Without wasting much of your time reading this topic, I'll make it as brief as possible so you equally emerge to other topics.

I have an eCommerce script (75% done) for sale. You can see the demo at http://www.cdp4champions.com via a PC. I am selling that script because the dude who I developed it for happened to have lied to me and I had no idea that he just wanted to use it for his school project. I wouldn't have spent so much time and resources building it up to that standard and I insisted that he was NOT going to use that Hard Work to do just his project.

For those of you interested; That Script is for sale!!!

Here is the screenshot of what it looks like:

The standard amount which I will sell that script while it's that state (75% done) is 70K then you could find another web develop who could raise it up for you but if by any means you want me to finish it up for you then it means that there would be extra charges.

FOR WEB DEVELOPERS
The script was developed under php.
The script has friendly URLS (SEO).
I've used a couple of image caching techniques to prevent huge network traffic.
Nice Slide of goods. smiley

FOR EVERYBODY

It's an easy market solution.
Something similar to eBay.

By the way, The domain above which I am referring everybody is like my online rough book. I use it to test my work. If you have problems accessing it, please be patient and try again later cos the host and it's server is whack.

Those of you that have muf.mobi sites should know me already from the support site smiley

But if you wish to know more about me, simply add dot com to my name. I equally develop ePresense for serious minded people/companies.

How do you end a story again?
The END.
FIN.
Urrrm urrrm BYE BYE.

LOL cheesy

Programming / Re: Coding Habit: What Habits Help You Code? by youngbobby(m): 8:04pm On Dec 18, 2010
Nice thread!

Most of my codings are done during the early hours or late hours of the day. One funny thing is that during this period, thats when any music really makes sense to me. Yea, i love music naturally but i noticed that any period other than those periods, i begin to loose the musical feeling sad but i use the other times to think and gather resources while my notepad is never off cos i use it to input my 'flying' thoughts on that project.

Webmasters / Re: Choosing A Name For Your Website-enough Of Naija This And That by youngbobby(m): 4:00pm On Jun 06, 2010
Well, it depends on the value of content being served and to whom the content is served to. Some people decide that their sites are for Nigerians alone and that is why they append the name 'naija'.

Some are just being proud of their country afterall most people from different countries still use AOL which i must remind you means America Online!!!
Phones / Re: Mtn Deducting My Credit Balance. by youngbobby(m): 3:01pm On May 28, 2010
ThoniaSlim:

When I arrived Nigeria, I subscribed to the mtn bb services. But it expired on tue n I've not activated it cus I'll b going back in a week time. Now the issue is, I use the wifi at home to browse. But since yesterday Mtn has been deducting my credit balance n I don't know the reason why. I use a bb bold 9000 and browse with d bb browser/bolt/opera.
I've tried calling their crappy call center but had no success. They just kept me on waiting for almost an hour on diff occasions. So I just gave up calling them. Pls
does anyone know the reason for this deduction?

Well that is what you get from Nigerian services. What turns me off is their service to their customers on the level of the  so called "Customer Care". I mean why is the customer care there when the customers cannot get through to them.

@ThoniaSlim I think maybe you try sending a message from their official site http://mtnonline.com smiley

Hope that helps!

passion007:

Hi guys, thanks for checkin out the thread. i cant seem to get adsense right. 4 days in a week i earn what looks like 0.1euros/day with 1 or 2 clicks. The three remaining days, nothing! Pls what am i not doing right? my blog is located http://obodonigeria..com
Thanks.

Well, Nigeria's economy is quite poor and so all income earned in your Adsense account from Nigeria will be poor (that is the reason it feels like you're not really making it). The trick is to target foreign audience!
Programming / Re: More Problems Im My Mail Script by youngbobby(m): 6:53am On Apr 14, 2010
If it doesn't write the name in the from field instead it uses email address then

Put your email address in this manner in the sender's field

<email address here> Name here

this causes your name to be used instead of your email address when mail is delivered!
Webmasters / Re: Which Programming Language(s) Should I Learn To Develop Websites? by youngbobby(m): 6:17am On Apr 14, 2010
I'll like to correct the impression that
"Javascript will be a benefit with any of the asp(s)" - by Dueal.

That is a complete fatal error in thought and in speech.
Javascript is just a nice ingredient that makes your coding sweet regardless of which "major" coding platform you are under.
Take facebook (pc version) for example; it was coded under the php programming language and javascript ingredient.
