a time majority of us here as AE enthusiasts might already be using lithium-powered electric cars. The only reason he might be forced to use lithium at that time will be in his own electric car. Lolz.

Electric cars with swap-able battery packs will make sense in Nigeria... especially with the cost of petrol now

Lolz @multiple organs..The thing is this, once you have tasted solar. You just can't go back, rather you will even want to upgrade. If we knew how good it is ,we would have went all out to install a bigger set up.I hear generator noise and i get irritated so much.I wonder how i coped all these years.Solar is the way to go,it has really given mw comfort.

I watch tv without fear of PHCN taking light and making me miss out on the movie. My baby has never seen darkness since she was born nor has she slept without Fan or AC.Or is it how it helps me plan my grocery shopping?I shop once a month and freeze most items.Same as cooking,i can make 5 soups and freeze without fear.Everything stays fresh because my fridge is always on 24/7 thanks to solar.Abeg, anyone who can even afford to invest 2m-10m on a set up should not hesitate, its worth it!I pray for my husband daily because it has really made life really easy and comfortable for me.

That is the spirit sister... we can not allow ourselves to be blackmailed by the power companies.

lolz. in terms of space and weight, lithium rules obviously.
but those were the least of my worries when i was considering biting the offer.
for a cost to amp/hour ratio, it was a no-brainer for me because clearly the price
was better than anything on the market at the time.

specs says design life is for between 15 to 18yrs. i guess time will tell but if my zeniths
could last me almost 8yrs, i expect these to exceed that feat.

These batteries should see the 20yrs mark in your hands

brother,
really its been a while. though i may appear to be absent from the thread at times, my spirit, my soul still
breathes solar.
i tactically stopped making reference to my system size long ago in order not to appear to gloat. some here
might even misinterpret it as showboating. even the solar harvests that i post from time to time is just a way
of encouraging a few of us here who still look at solar with hidden doubt, not too sure of its possibilities. it's
my own way of saying, "hey, it's possible. solar is real".
that said, i have a very robust system comprising 48 solar panels total nominal capacity about 15kw. batteries
used to be 12pcs 260ah zenith lead acid totaling 780ah until earlier this year when i did an upgrade.
i will be posting details of this in the next few days along with pictures.

Ok bros

We look forward to seeing pictures of your upgrade

If I had known what I know now like 10yrs ago . I for don go very far by now

after two straight days of relentless rainfall, the sun came out in full force yesterday.
it was happy days at last as modules greedily pumped out juice after juice topping
almost 60kwh harvest as at sundown....
...the sun truly is the answer!

Uncle George long time no see/hear

What is your battery/panels setup like now.

So that people like us can grow up to be like you one day

Properties / Re: What Are The Pros And Cons Of Flat Roof Design In Nigeria by YoungBrain: 7:42am On Dec 26, 2017
Our Sun intensity in Naija is something else. A flat roof would provide little insulation from the
Sun. inside the building is guaranteed to be very hot 24/7.

You need a steep roof to avoid side effects of Naija rain/sun.

Family / Re: Wedding Night: House Or Hotel, Which Is Preferable? by YoungBrain: 10:42pm On Jun 13, 2017
Some people choose the hotel for security reasons.
There are cases of criminals following people home after their wedding to rob them of money that
was "sprayed" on them earlier in the day.

I have been expecting a professional membership package from American Society for Industrial Security (the world regulatory body for security professionals) since July 2015.

The organization insisted the package left USA for Lagos, Nigeria hence they can not issue another membership certificate.

I have visited the post office on several occasions without any success.

As at December 2016, they still insisted that the package was sent.

They probably tampered with it expecting to see money in the envelope. Mine was a certificate from a UK university luckily for me I was issued a new one

Let me try my luck..

I am still expecting this package to arrive Owerri since July 2015.
Numerous visits to their Owerri Office, followed by phone calls to the
contact numbers posted on their site yielded nothing.

Mental slavery remains one of our greatest problems today

I always read with disgust the Afonga/Igbo tirade of abuses thrown around
by people who should become the leaders of tomorrow instead of collectively
seeking accountability from our leaders of today.

I wonder how long it would take them to figure out our rich heritage as black people
and abolish these false walls of tribalism that never existed before

Africans cannot retrace their step.. Cos they sold their glorious destiny by imbibing extreme diabolism in their way of life.. The Africans will serve the whites till d second coming of Christ..

And here comes religious hypocrisy.. the white man sold us a religion our own ancestors started
and labelled our own religions as evil...

Do you have an idea of the skin colour of Jesus' disciples or the early Christians that were persecuted by the Romans?

Today we quote scripture that we are not sure of its origins.

We are too preoccupied with petty inter-tribal squabbles, religious hypocrisy and quasi western education
that we are no longer interested in our history.

Black populations/history is gradually being phased out in Yemen and Sudan, while we look on
very soon we might have very little evidence to show that the blackman originated the word civilization.

I watch CNN/BBC with a pinch of salt... left to them alone we blacks would never amount to anything
