Politics / Re: 2015 Elections And Beyond: My Perception About The Igbos! by yummylookintoks: 2:47am On May 18, 2015
aresa:
Who lied and what lies was told about ibo people?

What lies was told by Yoruba or Hausa people that made ibo people voted for and rigged on behalf of Jonathan?

Do you mind stating the so called lies?

Even how hypocritical and contradictory of you to highlight the fact that Yoruba and Hausa people conspired together to win the election while suggesting the SE/SS should do the same.

What about the whole country combined working together as a Nation to achieve our collective objective instead of the same deceptive and divisive nonsense that they did it so lets do it too?

With such mentality, how different are you from the people you are castigating and blaming your miserable lose on?

You people need to stop insulting our sense by rewriting history and making silly excuses about the fatal and voluntary tribal decisions made by thoughtless and short sighted adults in iboland.

You placed your bet on the wrong side of the fence and as usual you lost so deal with your loss and quit making excuses with the usual victim mentality utterances...

Deal with your lose or learn from it..

Thanks for a beautiful write up my brother.

Let me ask the fooll to pick up his pen again to write about the chain of events prior to 1st republic election and 2nd republic election in which Igbos formed alliance with the same North at the expense of the rest of us from the South; twice for cry out loud.

Who became opposition party then? Yorubas. What did we do to Igbos in our region when Yorubas lost to this alliance? Nothing. We moved on with our lives as Yorubas while their children go to schools freely here in South West on the initiative of Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

Who destroyed our first democracy and killed our own leaders and left theirs intact? Igbos. They left their own progenitors who formed the same supposed corrupt government with Hausas/Fulani Oligarchy intact and went as far as killing the leaders of opposition parties and of course the military leaders of other tribes. Why was Igbos in military and politicians escape unhurt in that coup? Presumably, other tribes are corrupt while no single Igbo military officer or politicians was corrupt.

After the coup, what happen? Igbo single handedly destroyed our flourishing regional system of government and forced unitary system of govt on us despite all plea from the West and North. Hunter became hunted when Hausa/Fulanis hijacked the system and used to their own advantage.

I presumed that The idiott forget to tell us about the people who went on the streets to fight on behalf of the same clueless brother of his when the Cabal held him to ransom.

The idiotts who wrote that gibberish probably forgot to tell how Jonathan won the same election in 2011 against the same Hausa/Fulani man called Buhari.

If you take your time to read my recent posts here on Nairaland, I have said it either online or offline that the newly established relationship is purely between The Ijaws/SE people; there is nothing like SS/SE. It ll be a suicide mission if Igbos want to go into any war or negotiation with Nigeria state with mentality of SS/SE.

You can come here to write your gibberish in favour of Igbos or stylishly change what we already know about them but let me assure you that whatever you write won't change what has been written about them in Nigeria history book.

We don't own the Ijaws and any living or dead Igbos any apology for putting them to where they belong either pre or post civil war. They deserved everything they got either pre or post civil war.

It's easy for them to show us their victim mentality at every slightest opportunity but scared to share Nigeria history with the rest of Nigerians. Why are they afraid to share Nigeria history with the world and the rest of us? They are afraid cos of all the evils their progenitors had committed will be blown opened.

All these Ashewos craving for attention......

They want equality but

They don't want to work

They don't want to go to war front

They expected the same men to go out there to hustle and make money to spend on their silly ass.

Few who are ready to work among these selfish beings want to keep their own wages while they descend on the unfortunate and happiness-doomed men who stupidly fall in love with them.

In my own marriage, my eyes are opened with one leg in and one leg out. I have built my own happiness before marriage and I ll continue to be happy either with a wife or not.

I only pity those sissy-like husbands and young shall grow who find their happiness in women.

NB: Marriage is d best institution on earth provided you are married to a right lady. If you are married to a right lady, she won't even give u any reason to think about gold digger and all that........

Can this ride to the front page please.

Can we also have some pics of oil pollution in the Naija delta. In some part of the area you can hardly differentite between night and day because of constant gas flaring. In some places when you dig the ground with a hoe you see oil coming out. You can't even fish in the waters.

In parts of Zamfara and northern states where gold is mind, there is poisoning of water sources which has been killing people but the government always tries to keep it under wraps.

As Nigeria looks away from oil to solid minerals we must ensure that sustainability of the environment and the people is established.

US and the rest of world powers have spent billions if not trillions in search of alternative to crude oil in the last 20 years according to the book I read and video I watched on Youtube but all effort so far have proved abortive.

However, alternatives to crude oil were found, but later found out after a lot of Laboratory test and all that, that the new alternatives posed more adverse threat to both humans and our environment than oil.

They pick the most shocking.

This is shocking because it's so clearly false.

Why have they picked up this rehashed story a year later? An internet search shows that this story was reported last year.

When have Nigerian news outlets ever been shy of printing gory and unpleasant pictures? Why are there no images of the reported severed heads? Of the human meat? Why was the patron not named? Why was the owner of the restaurant not named? Why was the police office left anonymous?

When did Nigerian news outlets suddenly become so secretive?

You and I know that there have been several published news without all pictorial evidence and all that but still turned out to be true.

The place is very close to a popular Ose-Okwodu market in Anambra.

Sometimes, the pictorial evidence and other relevant materials would have been taken off the crime scene before Journalists even get there.

Watch crime channels; the stupid western media have got their hands full of worse crimes than this at their own backyards but that does not rule out the fact that shit happens around us in Africa and Nigeria.

It's all over the UK/US news with no credible sources.

No names, no dates, no location. How is that a reliable source of information?

A basic journalistic requirement is that the reporter should explain, who? where? what? and why? This story has been recycled without any of these. It's clearly a fake story, only a fool would fail to see this.

Also, if you are not aware as of yet - Western media loves nothing more than to portray Nigeria as a terrible place.

That I m aware of and I hate them for that

But these news outlets don't just pick any news anyhow and paste on their website.

The Nigerian press are generally very uncouth to the point where they will display pictures of dead bodies on the front page and will list the names of minors when reporting.

This story has no pictures of the severed heads, no pictures of the meat, the restaurant is unnamed, proprietor is unnamed, anonymous patron, anonymous police officer and all this took place in an unspecified town in Anambra.

Why would PUNCH behave so coyly all of a sudden? If they had proof of this tale it would all throughout their 'newspaper'.

Jokes apart, ladies are really suffering. These ladies deserve nothing but respect, unconditional love and care from men. Just imagine all below:

1)Months and Years without Water Touching your HEAD

2) Menstruation

3)During Sex; the banging, smacking, boobs holding while those legs in the air, putting on their back while their legs are suspended in d air, drinking sperm etc

4) Need toilet to do number 1&2 @ all time while men could dash in somewhere quick and get it done with.

5)Ladies spend £300/$500 sometimes to get a nice hair fixed while men Pay £10/$15-$25 for a nice hair cut

6) Child birth- This is a killer of all

Politics / Re: What Really Caused The Nigerian Civil War Of 1967 - 1969? by yummylookintoks: 10:03pm On May 16, 2015
madamoringo:
Simple answer: Ibo greed and selfishness.

You can slice it and dice it anyhow but it comes down to this issues. It all started well before independence, with Zik (ibo) thinking he would rule over a large expanse of a country and had previously said that ibos were some special breed of humans whom their god (not the real God) of greed and selfishness had chosen to be rulers, would rule over the country. Zik passed on an alliance of a more intellectual, hardworking and forward looking West so as not to have to compete so hard for anything as he knew he was on a long thing and chose the North seeing he thought he could take advantage of a largely uneducated north (at that time) and they would simply hand him high office as PM! Well he lost out and ibo soldiers wanting to bring them into an advantage by force killed every leader from every other region, Ironsi took over leadership and destroyed Nigeria's federalism (regionalism) to unitary government by his infamous decree 34 against much advise to the contrary. With ibos ululating on their victory in the north, 6 months later the revenge coup put ibos on their knees with much killings in th north where ibos had been making fun of th northerners on th killings of their leaders. No do, no do, Ojukwu without good military knowledge and common sense, under the guise of protecting ibos declared Biafra taking all of today's Niger Delta (SS), marching across to the militarily neutral Mid West (Edo & Delta states) and annexing it. Then, he planned and launched his worst military offensive against the Yoruba West deploying several tens of thousands (maybe close to a hundred thousand or more) of fully armed soldiers to approach from Ore, breach the SW defences and march straight to Lagos (deep in the heart of Yorubaland), capture and destroy it and then await orders from Ojukwu on how the West will be governed. The order was a kill, no-capture and scorched earth policy all with the cover of "liberation" of the West.

Ojukwu and his ibos failed massively because less than 200 Nigerian soldiers mostly from the West set up a defence about 40 km from the borders of Ore and set up strategy to funnel them into the cold pass, at the bridge. There, waves after waves of biafran soldiers were destroyed until they fled. The NA finished the business by ensuring the total capitulation of Biafra and Ojukwu fled as a cross dressed woman to Abidjan.

I couldn't have narrated this history better than this.

This is true chain of events that led to civil war

Igbos deserved everything they got as far as civil war is concerned cos these guys are wicked going by how they mercilessly killed a Yoruba leader wife with her unborn child and Northern leaders.

Has your region changed despite the fact that half of Igbos are being catered for with other regions allocated federal allocation?

The most deserted region in Nigeria of today is Igbo land. What does that tell you?

Ojukwu equally tried to secede with Niger deltans commonwealth but was strongly rejected by Niger-deltans. What did he do? He invaded their land until Nigeria made him to eat humble pie.

This is a continuation of the conspiracy of the north and southwest Nigeria to control the resources of the Niger delta, just like what to expect from the Buhari/Osinbajo presidency. So much for the 'change' that was being trumpeted all over the place. I guess the militants will need to provide these two greedy regions with a rude reminder that the resources indeed belong to the Niger delta. I pity this country because the future really is bleak.

The funny thing is that the militants' families, communities and friends would die first before Nigerians.

The Hausas/Fulanis soldiers will kill the Ijaws like chicken going by all the names you have called them during Boko haram killing spree and Igbos won't be spared if they stylishly get themselves involved.

I don't know why war is always your way of resolving issues, but ironically your butt always get whipped each time there was a war.

This is pure nonsense. The PHCF clause was included to protect communities whose environment is damaged by petroleum exploration. If you the entire country is the host community, it means we offer absolutely no compensation to those whose land, water and air is being polluted to feed the country. Go to ogoni, go to some ijaw villages. Some of them can't farm or fish again because of pollution, not to talk of the adverse health effect. But then, what negative effect does oil exploration have on a community in kano or jigawa state?. These reps do not understand that equal treatment is not always fair, and fair treatment is not always equal.

What benefit have Niger deltans enjoyed out of this 10% that has been in existence for over 4 years? Nothing.

All Niger-delta states remained the same

Guy, correct. Please expand more on the likeable personality and I don't care attitude.

I developed this attitude when I realised at very tender age that I was too emotional. I realised in my first relationship that I won't eat until my first girlfriend turn up whenever she promised to come around. It became a pain and punishment whenever she failed to show up due to one reason or the other.

It got to a stage that I had to ask myself "how long would you continue to do this under the stupidity of love? I made up my mind right there and right then that I would always be in charge and here I am today.

I take charge of my relationships regardless of what her age is right from day one, the social status of her father /mother is and the porch car she drives......
