Education / Re: PMP / CAMP Exams ~ Project Management Enthusiasts by Yvete(f): 2:12am On Jun 19, 2013
Yes I did. Approval took less than a week. If you don't qualify for PMP, there's the CAPM. Guess my resume (work experience and MS in progress, in a related course with hours of PM courses) is admissible for certification. The main hurdle is documenting your hours of experience. Anyways, real-world experience is more important than being certified.

@nd: You'd apply through PMI. Members get the Pmbok 5th ed for free.

Honeymoon is just a vacation for me. Would like to visit a new city that's overly touristy with decent-fine dining. Nothing special... its relaxing.

My Time Management sucks. I set clocks 17 minutes ahead because I was always running late to every appointment. It works.

Just went for some crash courses. But I have an instructor ready to take me thru whenever am ready.

nice4life: mamacita, joan & yvete, the religious section of nairaland is full of atheist, satanic cult members and this is very obvious and can be seen from their post.don't even waste your time replying their post, they are there with a mission and its to accuse christians and their religious believe.I wish nairaland has way of deleting useless post by thread owner. Mtchew

For real, used to comment in the religion section, but realized that most Christian threads are hijacked by atheists or theologists showing off Bible knowledge. I don't bother as much anymore. Scroll from top to bottom, crappy topics on God vs science. If you notice, there's an entirely different section for Islam. Atheists don't mess with them! cheesy cheesy
Education / PMP / CAMP Exams ~ Project Management Enthusiasts by Yvete(f): 1:58am On Jun 13, 2013
I'm new to the world of Project Management and should sit for the exam by October. Need study buddies interested in Project Management as a career choice. I'd be using the following prep books to self-study.

1. The PMP Exam: How to Pass on Your First Try, Fourth Ed. by Andy Crowe.
2. Head First Pmp: A Brain-Friendly Guide to Passing the Project Management Professional Exam by Jennifer Greene and Andrew Stellman.
3. PMP Project Management Professional Exam Study Guide by Kim Heldman
4. PMP Exam Prep, Seventh Edition: Rita’s Course in a Book for Passing the PMP Exam by Rita Mulcahy
5. The Almighty PMBOK- 5th Ed. smiley

Please recommend or share helpful books, files and links related to PMP or CAPM. Heard there is a new course on PMP (with more processes) starting July 2013. I'm freaked out! shocked Is anyone using instructor-led (in-person) classes to prepare?

shocked I get rid of the egg whites and use yolks only. Don't you get a white-ish leftover from the egg stuck on your hair? A friend of mine tried it and complained about the smell of egg white even post-condish. It bothered her. lolz
sweetmay_2006: Pls where can I get dat castor oil

Most Caribbean stores sell castor oil - check your neighborhood. I purchase mine on Amazon. It's very thick & lasts a long time because I mix it with coconut oil in a separate cup.
Religion / Re: Is My Religion A Cult? by Yvete(f): 8:54am On Jun 11, 2013
... but membership to a cult requires an oath of allegiance with grave consequences for transgressors. Right?
Seems a bit extreme to liken any Church to this definition of a cult (unless maybe there are some like that). sad

It seems like identity theft is the crime here (using someone else's pictures, and maybe first and last names).

You spend so much money eating out. $40 is expensive for one person. Maybe you like expensive restaurants though.

Would never buy those chiavari chairs not even plastic chairs. I'm leasing them for that day and thats it. Thanks.

lexiie: 16. The bathrooms and toilets are nothing to write home about. It is always dirty and terrible in fact if not careful disease could be contacted. Well some ladies don’t know about guys, had buckets for the sole purpose of relieving themselves with what I can call 'pit bucket'

19. I had up to 60 roommates if not more. It was always stuffy, dirty and ventilation was poor.

Gross! sad

nice4life: yes I did, that was because I didn't have the choice as i was still processing my admission.I'm not discouraging you, just do not want u to stress urself unnecessarily for something that doesn't matter to your life now.If it because of the future you can leave it till then except if you're planning on relocating back to naija very soon.
If you plan to spend only 3 weeks then its not that bad, it just like a vacation to naija but this time you spend the vacation in nysc orientation camp. grin

Yea, a vacation is the idea. I'm still trying to figure out how to escape after 3 weeks. I'm not taking classes next semester because I'm working towards one or more certification exams. I'm trying to see how I can fix Nigeria in my plans before the end of the year, but the NYSC thing is not that bad right? cheesy Maybe y'all should contribute money for me to book a hotel during my stay ... hehe!

seriously do u need it? Why not wait till when it is certain that u actually need it because u can actually serve anytime, so long as u know the right people this paper/certificate wont stop u from getting any position in naija. My opinion though.

You're discouraging me! I'm scared. I'd be there for the 3 weeks camp and return to the US. Did you serve?
