Okay ladies, I noticed most brides opt for simple round bouquets. Is there a reason?

Please I need a second or third eye on these cascading bouquets. I'm in the final leg of preparations and want to stand out from my B-Maids (with small round bouquets) so I'm leaning towards these teardrop style. The purple one is my style, but I fear its too L-O-U-D for a wedding while the white one is too plain with orchids, and the feathers put me off. What do you think? ...too dramatic? grin Thanks.

baba ajala: i couldnt finish my engineering in 9ja cos of ASUU strike. i feel the best idea is to start off in u.s and later come back to complete the engineering if possible
Mamacita007: U said that u're in 500level engineering. why quit that for cna?

You know you're not going back to complete your engineering degree in Nigeria anytime soon. cheesy My conscience won't let me ignore you so lemme break down viable options.

First off, you're coming with a green card unlike those of us that went through F-1, H1B and AOS. You are not required to maintain 12 semester credit hours. I advise that you transfer all credits and enroll in school at least part-time. You spent 4 years at a university, should it go to waste? Don't start over.

1. If you would like a career change to Nursing, you're better off transferring credits for RN or BSN. CNA is a good stepping stone to garner healthcare experience, pay tuition, bills, etc. Basically, work as a CNA while at school for RN/BSN. Forget LVN/LPN ... waste of time plus credits don't count for RN, I think!

2. If Engineering makes sense to you, transfer credits from any university in Nigeria to universities in TX. This option is wiser IMO unless Engineering is no longer your thing. Should take at most 24 months to round up an engineering degree over here. Try the link below, workforce, Walmart, etc.... Whatever you choose, come with no less than 6 official transcripts from your school. Hope you make the best decision.

Family / Re: Is Cheating Normal For Men? by Yvete(f): 9:01pm On Oct 28, 2013
kpolli: Cheating is not normal, not upto 50% of men cheat but due to the fact that most women won't settle with the good ones.... They have to share the few bad ones while the good ones stay single....

It would surprise you how many husbands stay faithful

Always remember, good news is never spread..... You never hear that guy has been faithful for 50yrs, you always hear that guy cheated the day after he got married.

Nicely written. Cheating and normalcy in one sentence is ridiculous. Emotional distress, total disrespect and lack of self-discipline is normal? God forbid! Whilst I may not have control over a person's decisions, I refuse to accept that BS! Its quite pathetic that some women out there are willing to be side-chicks and mistresses like in-your face - They don't give a damn!

Don't let human personality theories define you. It's not about the number of friends you have, but the value/quality of people acquainted with you. A smile sets precedent for a good conversation ... look for good basic friendship qualities in people you like (traits, values and beliefs) and friendships build on from there. I'm acquainted with a lot of people, but friends, I choose. If you need help in throwing out the weevils from the beans, I'll teach you. grin

After a long stretch ( 6 months being my longest), I put olive oil + Vaseline on my relaxed hair before applying relaxer to my new growth, then follow up with a deep conditioner so I don't lose any hair. Car Talk / Re: How Was Your First Car Bashing Experience? by Yvete(f): 3:47pm On Oct 21, 2013
Wanna cry grin
First accident was in Christmas 2005. I was learning how to drive, no license permit, no driver's license, no insurance, minimal experience. I was driving a friend's car and he was sitting at the passenger's front seat. Rule is, to make a left turn at a traffic stop, you need to give right of way, I didn't know. I got to an intersection speeding as usual, next thing I know, I ran into a brand new Toyota Avalon. Did you read brand new? Yes and the car was wrecked beyond recognition and the driver (really old man) was picked up by an ambulance. Before the police arrived the scene, my friend jumped into the driver's seat to claim responsibility for everything or else, maybe I would have gone to jail that night.

Religion / Re: Why Did God Reject Cain's Sacrifice? by Yvete(f): 8:50pm On Oct 20, 2013
Interesting viewpoints! Seems like some posters believe your best seed gets God's acceptance. If you give a million dollar sacrifice to the Church while you're busy scamming people all over the earth (unclean hands), I don't think God will honor it.

When you feel like God snubbed you even with nights of prayer and fasting, remember to count your blessings. I believe the best of our offering comes from our heart which also affects how we give money to the needy, kingdom service and render praises to God. God wants a perfect and loyal heart.

Before you sleep at night, write down three (3) things God did or is doing for you. Try to count something different each time and you will be more than grateful.

Religion / Re: 5-6 Churches On A Building. Religious House Of Commotion It Is! by Yvete(f): 8:29pm On Oct 20, 2013
This Church situation is beyond embarrassing especially when its done for the wrong reasons. Who knows?

Should we (Christians) say 'Yay' because the gospel of Christ is spreading across the earth; with Churches, evangelist ministries, social media preachers popping up everywhere ...or 'Nay' because we should be one body in Christ without opening our own Church when we damn please! Nigerians brought this attitude to the US too. I know a shopping strip over here with at least 5 Nigerian-owned Churches in the same building - God is my witness! This is crazy!!!!
