Thanks!

Yes you are correct, this payment is a hurdle due to payment restrictions in Nigeria.
I solved this concern by making this payment with my foreign bank account.

From the thread I understand you can pay using your DoM account from a local bank.

Big congratulations!!!

Please I would really appreciate your guidance as I’m about applying for my Visa now. I didn’t know we (my hubby and I) had to pay for visa and IHS in dollars and we had calculated and reserved funds for it in Naira. Please I would like to know how you paid for yours? Did you have to buy dollar from black market? Is there a way to get around this without having to go buy from black market? Because this will cost us a lot more than we bargained.

Please help!

If it’s confirmed that an abnormality was found in your friend’s scan for Sept 2022 Uni admission, then that could lead to a possible delay with his/her visa processing.

Usually IOM would require 3 sputum samples (1sample per day) to be cultured for 8weeks, thereafter IOM would inform your friend if he/she has TB and if the certificate would be issued.

Since your friend has biometrics on the 3rd of Aug, it’s currently unlikely the certificate would be available for he/she to submit this TB certificate using TLS assisted service.

Hello House, Please, their is a serious concern, my friend went for her tb test in Lagos iom on Monday...unfotunately for her she couldn't get her result that day , to cut the long story short... She has gone their today but they told her that they saw something in her chest but it's not tuberculosis that she will need to wait for 6 weeks more so , she has already paid her fees and her biometric dates is 3 of August... Please, we are confused...what can she do

Alright,Yes your response helped .I applied about four days ago. I intend on choosing this school. Please when you get the info on installment please let me know, thanks much

I decided to send them an email and received the response below - To be honest, I'm pretty impressed they responded quickly.

I guess this info helps other potential University of Sussex students as its not available in any documentation or weblink they provide. smiley

Please who has gotten an offer from University of Sussex. I’d like to know how long it took to send in admission decisions, their tuition deposit and their payment plan

I received an unconditional offer yesterday from University of Sussex, it took roughly a month before the school shared the admission decision.
i.e. I applied 8th Mar, Offer received 5th April.

Regarding Tuition, my program costs 22500GBP. The school expects a 2000GBP tuition deposit soon as the admission offer is accepted.

For payment plan, I understand that info is made available soon as the admission offer is accepted. I could let you know about this if I eventually accept this school.

Hope this helps.

Yes you are correct, its dependent on courses and Unis. I paid 120GBP application fee for MSC AI Kings College London and 90GBP application fee for the MSC Data science & ML with University College London.

cutebear:
Actually, I paid £100 application fee to a University. It probably depends on the course

I applied since February 28th, but was told today that admission is processing my application. What the hell does that even mean?

What course did you apply for? From the statement its possible yours is being treated, hopefully you hear from them within a week.

Please I applied for more than 6schools and I haven’t gotten an offer from any
University of Salford
Manchester metropolitan university
Nottingham Trent Uni
Liverpool John Moore
University of Aberdeen
University of Derby
MSc Human Nutrition for all
Please is this normal?

If your contact details were filled in correctly then you should not be worried - Some schools generally take their time to evaluate candidates esp. if the course is competitive.

I was in the same situation a month ago, I was very concerned and shot applications out like a cowboy - now i'm seating on 5 confirmed offers and possibly 3 more offers might arrive - I'm currently confused on which to choose.

In summary, if your applications were good, it'll be fine.

Awesome. thanks DuBooVay for your response. I'm aware the certificate is valid for only 6months, From my initial plan, there is a slight chance that the certificate would be expired for 1.5weeks before I arrive Uk. I will now need to adjust my current plans to minimize the risk.

Thanks again.

DuBooVay:
Nobody will ask you in naija. They may ask you when you land in the uk,they may not. When is yours going to expire and when do you plan to travel?
Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 7 by Zakozahbehni: 10:54pm On Mar 15, 2022
I would appreciate an answer to this, especially from those who recently departed Naija.

Thanks in advance.

Zakozahbehni:
Ps would anyone know the answer to the below questions:

Must the Tuberculosis certificate received from IOM still be valid at border control while departing Naija and arriving UK? Is this document reviewed by any immigration authority after visa application and visa is received?

Thanks.

@mimilyrics, many thanks for your response esp. your last paragraph. Yea, I've got some IT experience and certificates (programming, stats and data analytics) and want to be certain if I consider Essex I wont struggle with intense commuting.
I'll just wait for other Uni offers in London to roll-in before I need to hopefully respond to Uni Essex before deadline given - to confirm if i'm accepting the offer or not.

thanks again.

mimilyrics:
It isn’t about the job market, it is about how you position yourself for it. What work experience have you got with IT? What key IT certs do you have? - some roles require certain experience and high-level certs.
Also, getting internships and related roles as soon as you arrive - even if the pay isn't your end goal - will help you towards landing a cool IT role within and outside Essex.
On the other hand, you might not get your dream job in Essex, it might be in London but commute from Essex is made easy using the C2C trains.

Does anyone know how the job market is for IT careers in Essex, would need to make a decision on this unconditional offer I received from the University of Essex.

Many thanks in advance for your responses smiley smiley
