Sorry mate - 1 isn't the applicant's fault - one does not get to post invites to themselves, the essence of the poll's not to determine who's @ fault / not - these are scenerios that happen to most people @ some point in their job hunting phase, 3 happens all the time - some worse than others & even having to shuffle thru 25 peeps for 1 / 2 positions is bad enough, |

What's the worst that can happen, chose 1 from the options below 1. You get the invite to the interview a day late! 2. You arrive @ the venue only to be turned back 'cos you're late! 3. You attend an interview with 400 others while there's only 2 positions available! 4. You forget all the coy info you spent all night scramming when it's needed the most! 5. All of the above![/color] |

I've been fortunate to get the jobs I've wanted & I believe the same can apply to everyone if the right attitude / disposition is maintained. 1. A +ve attitude will translate into confidence / approach @ an interview - you radiate warmth that attracts the other person to want to know more about what makes you tick - on the other hand, a -ve disposition does the opposite - it repels people & this is shown when you aren't confident - nervousness is a function of being insecure - you've already given up on yourself, let alone others. 2. Always go for an interview prepared - learn about this coy you want to be part of - what's the value you'll add if / when taken - what innovation will you bring to the table - when you have an idea what the coy is all about, you'll be able to align your goals to theirs & your passion will translate into you being knowledgeable about their brand, products / services & culture to be able to ask necessary Q's that'll show just how much you understand of their operations to be able to fit-in. 3. Always remember - you are only as good as your 1st impression - so make an effort to impress. Impressing doesn't mean expensive garb, flashy cars etc (face it, if you had those, you'd be on the other side of the table), it means ensuring you appear easy on the eyes - if you haven't got a suit - no need to fret - wear clean clothes & ensure you radiate confidence - no employer wants a well suited dumb ass, |
