Please I have a Golf 4, I recently took it to a car wash for engine wash and the alternator was damaged. I had a Rewire replace the alternator. After replacement I notice that each I start the car the battery light does not go off until I step on the accelarator very hard which is not the custom before. The Rewire doesn't seem to have a good explanation for this abnormal behaviour. Spoke to other Rewire who said I need to replace the alternator with a 120 amp alternator is not good enough. However the car originally came with 90amp alternator. My question therefore is that is it wise to replace the alternator with a 120amp alternator? It's 1.4 16v engine. Appreciate your feedback

Issue with Car

When I start the car and engage it for movement, after 3 -4 seconds it beeps 3 times and this beep stops and it does not beep again until I turn off the car, turn it on again then engage it for movement then it beeps 3 times again. It has been doing this for 4 days now. Although this beep does not impair the car movement in anyway or show any other sign.

The first time I noticed it was when it beeped and the engine oil light came up on the dash board, I then topped up the engine oil and it has being giving me this 3 times beep ever since.

My first guess is it requires engine servicing which I hope to take to the mechanic tomorrow for servicing but I am hoping to get a better advice from you before I do that.

It also show this "INSP" on the dash board where you have the speedometer.
