Travel / Re: 10 Most Beautiful And Developed Cities In Africa by zikkmann: 1:27pm On Mar 18, 2018
The most beautiful and developed cities in Africa are Cape Town and Casablanca (Morocco). All the North African major cities are more developed than most sub-saharan African countries. In fact, North Africans are Caucasians, not blacks.
By the way, what criteria do you use to measure development? Is it all about a few highrise buildings in a city's business district? No city in sub-saharan Africa is comparable to any of the major cities in the North African countries. Anyone who think otherwise has a limited knowledge of the continent of Africa.

The definition of development is subjective. It is more of an economic term when the source of your information is the media. However, the above mentioned countries are as developed as Europe. Mind you: these countries are not black.
South Africa is not the most developed country in Africa. It's not even among the top ten (10) in Africa. It only has the most cities with high-rise buildings and bubbling economic activities. And high rise buildings is not what makes a country "developed". There is a difference between the two. Secondly, I don't think you should include military might as development.
South Africa just pride itself with Johannesburg and Cape Town. All the South African cities have slums (ghettos) that are worse than Ajegunle, Lagos.
Development is measured by the standard of living of the populace in a particular place. As well as literacy rate, infrastructure etc. South Africans envy Nigeria a lot, because 80% of the older generation of South Africans are illiterate.
Anyone who has been to South Africa, and is honest, will tell you that it's not different from Nigeria. Mind you, the cities were developed during the apartheid regime. And Johannesburg is becoming as rugged as Lagos, Nigeria.
Below are some photos of Johannesburg slums.

We are just fooling ourselves here in Nigeria. Nobody born and bred in Nigeria can speak 95% proper English, even if you attend university in UK or America. Except you grow up over there, or have lived for long.
