Hello there. Let me help the gurus on this. The future of the two sectors you mentioned are very much intact. Barring any crazy fall in oil prices, our oil industry can only grow from strength to strength. The same can also be said about our telecoms sector. Expansions will keep going on in the industry and even when we get to the level of big countries like the U.S and maybe China, there will still be the need for the human resources to maintain that level. However, you cant 'have passion' for the two of them at once. They are entirely on different planes. So look at yourself very well and decide on which path to follow!

Thats wonderful from her in terms of appreciating her partner but really what is the meaning of all this? Is this not over the top? Why don't you find some vocation instead? The abroad route at your age might not really help you. You can even go the IT route, thought a lot of people think it's overflogged, I think there's still a dearth of qualified IT professionals in Nigeria.

There are lots of IT and telecom trainings around, and it doesn't matter if you studied arts in your first degree or are not good in mathematics. Anybody can go that route. Don't go abroad on any suicide mission to waste your time and money. It won't even help you when you come back home. Better look for something to do here.

Therefore, i would love it if the more experienced guys here will be able to offer some sort of advice on career paths i could go into. Every response will be deeply appreciated by me and scores of other guys who are in the same shoes with me,

Its really pathetic, i graduated from evan enwerem (imsu) since march, my name is on the computer list for the NYSC batch 'c' but we were just told last week,that as long as the strike is on,we aint going nowhere, infact the school is in complete lockdown now,no final clearance,no statements of result and when the call up letters finally come,no one will be there to give it to us, too much for being Nigerian!
