Don’t you think if I appeal with more evidence like ties to come back after my visit will work. Going to another Schengen country won’t that look suspicious that why didn’t I appeal with France since all my documents are genuine.

Listed documents I provided

My personal Bank statement
Wedding pictures
AIIco travel insurance
Car papers
2 landed properties documents
My yet to born baby scan result
Flight
Hotel
Tour itinerary
CAC certificate
Annual CAC Renewal approval letters
Introduction letter from my company
Introduction letter from my wife
Marriage certificate
My bank account analysis on large sum that comes in

Now if I’m to appeal I know I will use same documents again.

But I made a mistake I didn’t add a letter from Unilag where I do DLI and currently in year 3.

Invoice from my business and may be business pictures if needed.

Do I need an introduction letter from my parents too.

Please if there is any suggestions again kindly help me with it. Because I want appeal again next week.

Thanks

Do you have any travel history?. To me , with all the documents u submitted, it’s actually enough for you to be granted . I just see that documentation to them these days are not enough anymore. Good travel history is what cuts it and being active on a 9 to 5 in a credible company. Appealing is a 5 percent chance especially when your travel is just for tourism. I had all my documents just like u and an invitation and got denied twice . They are very unpredictable

have applied with france twice, germany twice, and italy gave me, i dont apply immediately i gave it like 1 to 2 years. now i have 2 shengen visa traveling sunday for the second trip to shengen

Yes it’s because of the interval . There’s a time frame where rejection will become automatic. So whoever wants to apply immediately needs to stick with previous country or else they will assume you are trying to escape reason you were denied initially from the first .

Hello House
So dhl delivered my passport today and I was refused and here is the refusal letter I got …
What does this means and how can it be avoided if I decide to reapply

Don’t overthink it. First time applications usually get these 3 reasons . I got it in same order and I almost freaked out knowing I submitted original documents and they probably thought it was fake. What it actually means is that there’s no way to verify that those documents are original so it’s better to use documents that they can verify probably through an office etc, then you need a strong proof of home ties. It says reasons for your intended visit doesn’t seem reliable. Your tours and itinerary isn’t organized. Probably looked like you just put anything just to get into the country. Apply again . Check the area you are visiting, research the spots that you would like to visit, book a hotel close to it, be organized and pay attention to details. Dont just let an agent do it for you. Follow the process because in truth if you really are to visit these places, you need to know how to get there from where you are lodged. Goodluck

Sir, may I inquire about the reason behind suggesting Italy for his next application? I'm curious to understand if obtaining a Schengen Visa is comparatively easier through Italy.

Do Not apply anywhere else if you already applied through France. Stay consistent and work on your documents to prove that you will return and can fund your trip. I was denied 3 times only to realize I kept getting denied because I previously applied to Spain last year and didn’t state my reasons. If you apply to Italy without giving a concrete reason why you applied to France and got rejected, rejection for all other Schengen states is automatic even though your documents are convincing. I finally got mine after addressing it

Hi,

Where has your BF been before?

Has he been to France several times?
Also does TLS also categorize travellers in the order of

1. First time Traveller -Tourism
2. Frequent Traveller- Tourism
etc.?

I just want to know i have had four (4) Schengen Visas previously.

Regards,

He has been to the Uk several times but not any of the Schengen countries. We had applied when vfs was still handling applications so yes there was the 1st time traveller / frequent traveler option. I heard TLS doesn’t categorize though.

Please I want to know the steps to appeal a refusal. I was refused tourist Schengen visa for France based on

”the information submitted regarding the justification for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was not reliable“

Also

”there are reasonable doubts as to the reliability, the authenticity of the supporting documents
submitted or the veracity of their contents“

Bear in mind I work for government agency and submitted letters of appointment, pension, leave letter and pay slips and 3 months bank statement of about 6m, 1 month travel insurance.
The application was for a 5 day short visit which included book on hold of 3 major tours, return flight ticket and hotel reservation for the 5 days.

They said I could appeal but I don't know how to go about it.

Please any help would be appreciated. The trip is next month and self sponsored.

Thanks 🙏🏿

From my own experience, with all the necessary documents and even an invitation and sponsorship letter, I believe they are being very strict this period. They are mostly giving frequent travelers and right now even those in that category are being scrutinized. I was meant to travel with my Boyfriend who is a frequent traveler and still had an invitation letter as well yet was denied twice. The essence of the trip is ruined and I almost decided not to travel anymore if not that our host put in a lot to have us visit. It’s frustrating.
We tried sending an appeal and no response. Just apply again because to appeal you have to have a very strong reason as to why you want to visit. I wish they could read minds because people like me don’t even want to stay past 2 weeks . The profiling this period is crazy .

Please I need a travel buddy. I finally got my visa after my 3rd application. I was denied twice even with an invitation. Infact the story is one kind. Who is traveling in November? . The person I planned my trip with didn’t get a visa so it might be a solo trip for me ☹️. Please also does anybody have an idea of what dates are currently available for appointment. Thanks

I said the same when I was denied too. I even work for a company there and I was also invited. When I got an immigration lawyer to look over my denial, and he started breaking down all my mistakes, I was surprised. So you may want to reapply and correct those mistakes. I’m sure they had a reason for the denial.

It’s my second attempt. My friend had worked in the embassy before she moved to France. I honestly didn’t want to re apply until she convinced me to because she was looking forward to us seeing after over 10years. I only applied because she urged me to. I can try to appeal but I’m not sure I want to go through such a process of applying again.i only wanted 12days

From what I’ve found, invitations from people living in a country is actually not beneficial for tourist visas unlike business visas. It shows that if you decide to stay back, it’s easy for you because you have a place to stay. If you decide to reapply, attach family pictures, state clearly in your letters that you have no one in France and you have very strong home ties in your family and you’ll be coming back. I was also denied because I stated that I had someone in the Schengen region. All the best.

Trust me I sent even more proof. Business and all. Letter of meeting I’m expected to attend for verification with the federal government plus my friend had previously sent an invite just last month to another friend and she was given. With the proof I sent, if they could deny especially when it’s huge benefits then I feel they didn’t just want to give. Even family living in France can’t stop me from returning to collect money that the government owes. Especially when it’s not little. The officer was probably having a bad day. Lol . Meanwhile I thought the idea of an invite is to be able to hold someone responsible if you do not return .

Please who has a contact at Ups? I have been expecting delivery since yesterday and even went to their office and they said my package is “out for delivery” but it doesn’t reflect as such in the tracking website. The contact of the delivery guy they gave me has been switched off since morning.

Please has your passport come?. Seems to be a thing right now with ups

I’ve gotten my visa from France VFS. I applied through Lagos and I applied to Netherlands actually but via france, applied for business category and got 1 entry for the duration of my trip. Frequent traveler.

Applied on 9th of June, visa got issued 19th June received via courier today 23 June.

Things I applied with (also I was told to not submit original documents because they won’t be

returned to me like my original CAC docs and land docs were returned to me and I submitted photocopies of those instead).

- 3 months bank statement
- Invitation letter from inviting organisation
- Invitation / intro from my work as its a work trip
- CAC reg of my own thing
- My personal intro letter
- accommodation note
- flight itinerary reserved from Air France (used book on hold though it already expired)
- form filled during application on france visa website.

I don’t know if I’m missing anything else. I got quick interview date on frequent traveler + this is my 4th Schengen.
.

Congratulations!!!. It took longer than usual. I guess there’s a lot of applications to tend to because of the summer holidays. Most people got feedback Within 5 to 7 days.

Had the same issue when I wanted to apply,I had agents charging me 50k for appointment or walk-in, and we were 3 (2 of my kids and I, even knowing fully well that kids below 6 dont need to come for the appointment, they basically charged me 150k, smh, i ran tho) I called the tls contact number and told them I couldn't book an appointment, they were able to get me the nearest date that was available.

Try calling and hear what they say.

Thanks so much. I’d do just that 🙏

That's not true... he could write an email directly to the French embassy here in Nigeria referencing the application number and URN, and the email will be treated accordingly. I'm a living witness.

The crucial part is writing a convincing appeal email with genuine intentions and the refusal will be overturned.

Hi 👋. Please I’d like to ask if the email you sent was translated to French. I’d appreciate if you can give a few other pointers also.

Ngwanu!! All of you be coming home!! Fast fast!! ... I dont blame the igbos, i blame our stupid government!. People go to South Africa because and face discrimination because of the opportunities there. That place is fine but very difficult to live in. If u rent a place and ur friend visits he has to pay for sleeping in your room. This country does everything it can to make it hard for foreigners... But i tell you the truth its not only the igbos that do drugs there... Yorubas too ... But the Koko is that its nigerians that misbehave the most. We give and take at the same time...a lot of the video directors we have trained there.. Nigerians school there and do legit business. But in honestly tired.. Make una come house make we show this our government shege so una no go need seek greener pastures.
