Spirit spouses do not exist!
That is what I know for sure.
If they do, the bible would have emphasized on it since it would be a very serious issue for many people.
But they really don't exist.
The Genesis 6 theory that people usually interpret to support that they exist is a misinterpreted scripture by a set of Christians who converted from shamanism, a religion where they interact with the spirit world and communicate with the dead.
Sons of God in that Genesis 6 are not angels but a certain class of men who devoted their lives to walk with God. Even Adam was called Son of God, believers of Christ are called sons of God. So it's not a big deal saying sons of God are not angels. The writer in Hebrews 1 was asking, to which of the angels has God ever said You are my son...? God never called any of the angels son, except Christ. So Moses who wrote Genesis and Job used the term sons of God because he saw a revelation of the Son of God, at redemption, through them. Moses saw the past, creation, and the future, Redemption!
So angels are never called sons of God, according to scriptures.
That means it was men that slept with women and produced children who multiplied on the face of the earth (vs1). The core subject of discussion in that Genesis 6 was a short story about how "men" began to multiply on the face of the earth.
Those experiences of spiritual spouses are demonic manipulations, not real.
Demons manipulate the minds of people and make them believe in a lie so that they can think and act in a certain way.
For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he!
