How long does it take UCC to offer admission? My cousin applied in May. Sent in supporting documents on 21st May. I told him to contact the school cos it is getting late. Should he?

My cousin wants to apply for a PG diploma in UCC. It's a level 9. My concern is that it is a 2 year part time programme, and it's listed under Adult continuing education. Although it states they award a post graduate diploma (major award).

Please will she be granted visa with that? And most important, will she get the 1 year work permit?

Some one who knows should please respond.

Swisscare and Aiico were suggested on this thread. So if Aiico is down, try Swisscare.

OK. the proof of funds can also be called living expenses.

That €7000 euros proof of funds or living expenses is the estimated amount assumed that would take care of someone's stay in Ireland for one year.

Thanks.

Do you mean living expenses?

The current statistics for living expenses in Ireland ranges between €7500 and €12,000.

It depends on the city you intend to live in.

However, you can budget that €7000 depending on your personal expenditure.

I mean proof of funds. The amount of money that has to be in one's account in order to secure visa.

Hi ,

The following are required for visa application , so information varies by the university * so people should not copy and paste.

1. CV
2. Statement of purpose - this should cover a brief introduction into your previous academic achievements ; practical / relevant work experience, Career pursuits, why have you chosen Ireland and not studying such in your home country, of what importance or benefit is this course to your career pursuits and significance to Nigeria upon your return.
3. Telex
4. Statement of account of yourself
5.Statement of account of your sponsor
6. Proof of employment yours and your sponsor
7. Medical Insurance
8. Initial offer
9. confirmed offer or payment receipt as issued by the university
10. All originals of your previous academic qualifications
11. Payslips / proof of trading records for yourself or sponsor
12. If married, proof that your family will be alright while away
13. Valid passport
14. proof of English test
Your agent will guide you through your online questionnaire and the hard copy questionnaire that would accompany your documents

All the best

Thank you so much.

What's a Telex and how much is the medical insurance?

I don't know if anyone still visits this thread. But I'll just ask my question.

Lapland sent me a mail that my degree certificate isn't officially certified. I included a photocopy of my degree certificate in the transcript I sent. How did you all do it?

Hello guys. Is there any way to monitor the admission process? Or one has to wait till the April when results will be out?

Only if it was issued by an EU/EEA country.

Thanks.

I was asked if I have a full driving licence. This means my answer should be "no," right?

Hello everyone,

Hope we are all doing well. So I received a negative decision regarding my Residence Permit application for studies from Migri on Wednesday 28th, November 2018 (that's 2 months after submitting the requested supplementary documents). The reason given was that they feel I would evade their rules in the country while also stating that my financial documents weren't credible enough. Most of the text in the decision doc were in Finnish (especially the explanations) as only the decision and the reason for denial were in English. Also, there's a new rule/act that applies to applicants from Third World countries stated in the document.

Attached with the Residence Permit decision is an Appeal doc for instructions.

I've been in contact with my Finnish university the whole time of the delay in which they also moved my admission along with my scholarship offer to next year 2019.

I wish those of you still expecting a decision a positive outcome.

Sorry about this Neeyoh.

If you find out what the new rule for applicants from third world countries is, please do let us know.

Hi guys. I've done my masters but I'm going for another in Finland. Should I send my masters transcripts together with my Bachelor's? Some schools mentioned 'higher degree.' What do you all think?

Anyone?

Is Finland RP now taking as long as Canada PR or are those who had their interview already in Finland, and I'm here waiting for an update?

Finland is no longer tuition free. For Master's degree, tuition is between €8,000 to €13,000. However, there are different percentages of scholarships available.

Thanks for your speedy response. I appreciate it.

Hello. I just read there's another body organizing IELTS apart from British Council called IDP MOD. Apparently, they are cheaper and mark scripts much better than BC. Has anyone here used them for Finland RP? I'm afraid it's not the same.
