If you know the Calibre of people that dominates our political sphere, it will be hard for you to believe in any reform that's been proposed. This too can be rendered useless by them.

But nothing is wrong with the clause na... in remote areas without network they can get to use the manual voting method, if we insist on only electronic voting, then politicians would simply jam the network at their opponets strong hold or snatch the voting machine

..
if u adopt e voting in some areas and accept manual in other areas how do u checkmate them? We are really not serious,to me any area that doesn't have network should not be allowed to vote .

The only e-voting I will support is voting at the comfort of your home and the result being viewed on national television like live football.

Anything aside this is rigging +

make politics unattractive, by cutting their salaries and allowances to the barest minimum that is only way out

If a credible organization(s) handles the E-security then it can’t be rigged. All these can be checked and verified online what happens with mass thumb printing.

My worry is the procedure and if it won’t be venerable to the usual violence and disturbance in volatile zones. Then the clause also

If BB naija could use it effectively, why not,we can even use ussd for areas without internet facilities or sms, this will be more economical,no paper, printer, generator, tag ink, maker, correction fluid ballot box, table chair, boat, vehicle catd reader machine and adhoc staff will be reduced too.
No thuggery,no beating and snatching,if Israelis will be employed to ensure objectivity, fine
It can be done if there is that political will.

IT experts will be needed to protect the central database from attacks. Cos, I trust these desperate politicians, they would start looking for hackers to employ.
