Hello people.
This place has been so quiet. It's okay to shelve all travel plans till next year at this rate.

I planned on travelling in sept/oct this year before the pandemic happened. Will it still make sense to travel next year? Say Jan? On visit

I don't think anyone is even sure. First I heard it's October, then I heard that has not been confirmed yet. I had booked to travel last April. Had to get a refund from Delta. For now, I am planning for around Mid November. However, I will not purchase my ticket until I am sure flights have resumed.

September is just 5 weeks away. Not sure flights would have resumed by then.

Do not make plans to travel to USA before February / March 2021, nothing will work until then.

A lot of Nigerians have been using this route to the USA and Nigeria in the past 4-5 weeks.
It's on the plate for me too.

How are these Nigerians going to the USA when the country is only accepting citizens and PRs?

Nigerians with PRs who couldn't be on any of the repatriation flights. And some used the route to come to Nigeria to see their families.

It may be true because the US never placed any restrictions on flights from Africa.
The restrictions are only on Europe, Brazil and China and iran.
Even the people from the aforementioned countries are traveling to Mexico and staying there for 14days before going to the US, This statement may be true

Remember there is a land trip from Cotonou into Nigeria to your destination.
Travel light. Plan for some lodging and "something for the boys" in black at road blocks.
