GloriousGbola: I agree that good roads boosts economy, but sometimes, a road is just for people to pass... I saw concrete roads all over Ebonyi, but nothing is there. Absolutely nothing Buhari did IjebuOde to Okada. How many industries have relocated there because there is good road? That was why i asked the question about ports, because the new reason is that it will link to all the ports. But is any activity happening in 99% of them? We do not have the pockets to commit such for just one road. There's no need making it look like paradise will begin after the completion. 1 Like |

X don chop Ban for clarifying the Coastal Road Project is an EPC+F Model. FG counter-fund is 30% while Contractor will be responsible for 70%. Note: the Road will be tolled and first phase is 47.4km. |

Oasis003: If the road will cost 15 trillion naira, how much will 30% be? 6 Likes |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Oasis003: 11:35am On May 02 |
.....FG will only pay ₦4.5T for 700km, not ₦15T as being speculated up and down. FG has paid first counterpart-fund of ₦1T, hence Contractor is expected to complete first phase of 47.4km without any excuse and as soon as possible. |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by popizaino(m): 11:37am On May 02 |
Amigoss: Edo state isn't even a coastal state. He would be very foolish to praise FG for this new road project. |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Oasis003: 11:37am On May 02 |
izzou: ......₦4.5T and it will be spread across 8yrs budgets. |

Nigeria no get money Nigeria is broke Of all the problems choking the nation, FG pushed 1 trillion for a brand new road. With just an initial phase of 47km? My maths is bad, but that's like VI to Epe or nearing IjebuOde That is what we thought best to tie our 1 trillion on. 5 Likes 1 Share |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 11:42am On May 02 |
Oasis003: You have paid 1 trillion first for just 47km.. So this road will not even be completed in the next 8 years? 3 Likes |

popizaino: obasekis term is drawing to an end and APC is the ruling party. na gomina wey still get one full term fit dey form opposition noisemaker someone that is slowly and surely returning to his vomit |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Oasis003: 11:45am On May 02 |
izzou: ......cos there won't be need to drop another counterpart-fund when 2nd phase begins. Note, they are still working on masterplan for 2nd phase, that's why it ain't part of construction at the moment. 2nd phase will begin immediately first phase is completed. There won't be any delay, hence reason for the Model - EPC+F. |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Oasis003: 11:47am On May 02 |
izzou: .......wrong! 1 trillion ain't paid fot just 47km, but as part of funding for the entire project. Its a clear message to the Contractor that FG mean Business. It will cover beyond first phase. 1 Like |

Oasis003: If you drop 500 naira, you already know your share. Since you know the 2nd phase isn't out, and the 1st is 47km, as a broke country, why drop 1 trillion? 2 Likes |

Oasis003: I like the idea of the coastal road. 3 hour journey from PH to Lagos is something I can't wait to experience. However, what happens if the contractor can't secure funding for the road? 1 Like |

izzou: ......we are paying ₦4.5T in total, we drop 1T as part of Agreement for the 700km Road Project not just for 47km. Tell me Excuse the Contractor gonna come with?! Term and model are clear, the project shouldn't exceed 8yrs bro. |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 11:58am On May 02 |
Oasis003: Lagos Ibadan than exceeded almost 10 years nko? We have committed more than the contractor and that is the first level of fraud in the whole deal. If the contractor pulls out after 47km nko?. Person wey wan fund 70% never drop shi shi. Ooohh! Chineke nna! 5 Likes |

Itsrm: ......the Chagouris?! LOL! Do you know how much they have spent on Eko Atlantic Project already?! FG under OBJ couldn't control ocean surge causing very destrucitve Flood in VI until PBAT asked for their intervention(s). Convert the whole ₦15T to Naira, then you gonna understand its affordable for the Contractor. They ain't doing it for free by the way, its business. They completed first km in how many days?! With working streetlights on both sides o. |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by popizaino(m): 12:04pm On May 02 |
Oasis003: They did not build an entire new coastal roads in those countries. They expanded it, especially the Togo side and maintained it. Maybe if we maintained our existing roads, the idea of new coastal roads won't cause much divisions among us. Moreso, those were funded AfDB. Alhassane Ouattara that is building an entire new coastal road that will pass from Assinie mafia down to Noe at the western border still has the old road in this almost perfect condition. 2 Likes 1 Share

Amigoss:I hope you're not drawing your conclusions from the 1 minute video snippet that APC urchins are posting all over the place sha? In the grand scheme of things, the coastal road is a monumental waste, but no be Obaseki go talk dawan, project don start, his own is to commend them for the work they're doing, while reminding them of the numerous other road projects that demand attention, and that's what he did in the video. Benin-Auchi road has been a mess almost for the entire duration of APC's administration, maybe he needs massage their ego a bit for them to do the needful on that axis. 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Oasis003: 12:08pm On May 02 |
izzou: ......Lagos- Ibadan is being funded under PIDF model include Budgetary Allocation, Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas dividends, Recovered Funds (Locally and Internationally) and other third-party capital. Its not same as EPC+F model bro. The main feature of the EPC-F model is that the financing is provided by the EPC firm. The EPC firm uses its resources to cover the cost of the project and finance the construction process. |

popizaino: I know that Oyo Ogbomoso road and if I will ask you and reason like you, there was an old road that connected Ibadan to Oyo to Ogbomoso to Ilorin through Eye nkorin, to Niger was the old road which connected the Sputh to the North, was this road in best condition before they embarked on the new road that Obasanjo announced in 2000? Next the road that went from Ibadan to through Kogi to the North was an alternative to the old Oyo, was that old road in perfect condition before they built the new one through Kogi? |
