delpee: Exactly. A lot of these kids have no clue what it used to be like in that area. Tinubu and Fashola will always be remembered for that singular act of saving Lagos from the Ocean. The Federal govt was clueless and powerless to do anything about the Ocean surge. 5 Likes 3 Shares |

Landmark built on a land belonging to either Onikoyi family, or Oniru family, depending on the markers of the property. He would have purchased the land from either of these two families. Has Onikoyi, or Oniru explained how it happened that Iboman built property on their land? Who sold the land to omoIbo? 2 Likes 1 Share |

muhammaduyusufu: Dr Toks sir, From your satelite picture ,it is clear that even the sand filled phase 1 of Eko Atlantic is already failing! The Tinubu/Chagouri venture was on the highway to failure b4 the coastal road was resuscitated to SAVE Eko Atlantic.........the enormous overcost of the coastal road will eventually subsidize the whole eko Atlantic project! Wayo is a game quite alright but be informed that there is no honor among thieves....let us hope they do not misuse the looted funds and leave Eko Atlantic without financial rescue |

ebufa: Please, which Satellite picture shows Eko Atlantic phase 1 is already failing? Are you technically sound at all? Kindly show us the satellite picture and the failing area. Most of you think like uncivilized crude Onitsha main market or Ariara trader. In Engineering Design and analysis, background history and environmental conditions are taken into consideration. You cannot even interprete any design, map or picture as you put it you are talking about failing. Most of you are not happy about this project. Mami Chula Beach facility and others are affected but you concentrate on your brother. Mami Chula owner is happy seeing Lagos being developed and displayed with developed cities in Africa. Ever since this project began, Africa countries have been displaying highways and road networks and development in their countries. They display Jo'burg, Capetown, Durban, Dar res salaam, Cairo, Nairobi, Addis, Kigali and other new developed cities and development. Nigerians turned it to another thing entirely on Facebook. Economic immigrant in Lagos is not after Lagos development but to exploit Lagos and blackmail it. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Vicotex: Have you gone to Landmark beach before? If yes, you'll notice a barricade to the main ocean. It is this barricade that makes it possible to swim in this end as it reduced the tides from the ocean. And sadly, sandfilling for Eko Atlantic phase 2 is supposed to start from this sandfilling towards the mainland. So for people that have knowledge of this area and the planned works, either coastal road or no coastal road, Landmark is destined to lose the ocean front and they are aware. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Macphenson: The so called original route- To keep it simple. You only need to look at the Water Corporation "route" supposedly the original route to see that it does not make sense. The so called original route is a red herring. Here is why. Many properties would have been destroyed using that route. It is not wide enough and there are more developments in its path - It would have led to the loss of more jobs Landmark clients would have to cross the highway to get to the resort. ( look at the traffic flow) Government would need a compulsory acquisition order instead of merely claiming its statutory and well established property right from the tide/shore line. Please note the government is not taking anyone's land. Merely asserting it's property right - a fact well known to everyone including the various beach front users. Regarding why the project is starting in Lagos. This us a nonsense because there the road will be built in phases and one of those phases has road works from calabar. Cost? The project is cost is not being borne in its entirety by the FGN, I believe the FGN component is about 20% - it has significant private element. This is a tolled highway. There is also the trans africa highway and the badagry to sokoto highway coming up using the same formula. Re East West road is fine but this is far more strategic and it is not a case of either or. This development opens up several oil rich state economies - many of which are controlled by another party. This road also has a spur that connects to the north. It is a game changer economically and it is not a new idea. The cost of development is public inconvenience. Whenever you land at Heathrow or Gatwick airport you do well to know that some of those runways attracted significant opposition and public resistance. Today the benefit of those runways is well established. In these two cases, land was compulsorily acquired in the over riding public interest. In Nigeria's case, the government is exercising its statutory rights AND still paying compensation which it is NOT bound to. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Liars, the Fashola government, created sea barriers that Eko Atlantic used to build the city without an integrated road network. The Lagos -Calabar is now being used to build the missing road network. |

Appletek:why can't we do politics without bitterness in Nigeria? Obi's greatest crime is seeking to be a president that is within his rights as a citizen. now calling him idiot is the most vile thing I've seen. Imagine you come home after work and your father or mother tells you that your neighbor's child called them idiot, what will be your action. Most times we need to draw a line between politics and bitterness. You can criticize him without insult. CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. Much love and maximum respect to you brother. |
