I may be wrong on this issue but i can confirm that about 4 years ago a friend of mine who is a relative of oyedepo asked me to advice him if his sister could take the offer Oyedepo propose to her that he will sponsor her to covenant University if she would become a christian.

Then her sister was trying to get admission into a university, but i vehemently oppose to her becoming a christian because Oyedepo wants to sponsor her.

I am a muslim and i have siblings who are christians but i will never and never coerce anyone to become muslim because i want to render help.

I hope he has a change of heart and not severe the ties of kingship.

Please i will never say what i dont know and will not tarnish the image of Man of God. I even said i may be wrong about the issue of this woman we are talking about. It was because my friend has done all he could to convince his sister then that he allowed me to meddle in the issue. Again i am not here to settle scores with christians or Oyedepo but i just want to share my experience. It is a family issue and i wont want to say anything against a family i know nothing about. thanks

I see a lot of immature comments here. Its so sad that nairaland has become a war zone between yorubas and igbos, christians and muslims. Before you judge any body or any pastor, its important u confirm for facts.u envy rich pastors like adeboye, oyakilome, sam adeyemi, olukoya, odukoya, paul adefarasin, tb joshua, oritsejafor, okonkwo, ashimolowo etc. And u still pity poor pastors. All this rich pastors are professionals or av products they sell to generate income. Please can someone tell me is it a sin for a pastor to be rich. Even God hates poverty. Jesus said l became poor for your sake so that u will be rich. Despite this jesus never lacked the 3 basic needs of life. Food, clothing and shelther.Its better to be envied than to be pitied.

My younger brother is a graduate of covenant university and l can tell u that there are many muslims there so that someone was denied admission because of religion is a big lie. Covenant has the largest number of applicants among private universities so they find ways of reducing entries every year but not based on religion. My cousin was denied admission there because she was over-aged.they do this because they av limited hostels.

Concerning the bishop's sister, that's another blatant lie. Even witches and wizards at omuaran(bishops village) are being fed by the bishop daily. That's my hometown so l know. This is not dem say. Nobody from kwara state not even the state govt gives out scholarships like david oyedepo. Nobody in ogun state except the ogun state govt has more employees than winners chapel ota. So in a nutshell, the bishop can never force his sister to change. Its her choice.

Even his father changed few years before his death. For the man to die at over 100years it means he was well catered for. So please stop judging if u don't have facts to back up your claims.if bishop didn't force his father and other siblings to change, tell me why will he force his sister. No man can convert anybody except the holy spirit so don't be deceived.

Anger, envy and bitterness are deadly sins and among the seven things God hates so please be very sensitive and stop the criticism. In conclusion always remember that mediocrity is not righteousness and poverty is not spirituality. U don't resemble God by being poor and being poor doesn't make you more holy that a rich man. May God give you understanding
