The soil is a flat red soil surface, very vegetative and not flood prone.
Basic roofing but not aluminium flat pan.
The cost won't include painting, more of the building carcass and the roof. Thank you sir

On dry hard soil with aluminium step tiles, only carcas of 3 bedroom bungalow will cost N1.5m.

The owner of this new house saw the duplex on this thread, asked the family that owns the house of my number and called me to have a meeting with him. We may start work on the new one very soon. Pictures of the massive structure later this evening.

There is, the window top level will be lower by 9 inches and may be too low for some very tall humans to look through. We know you can always add 3 or 4 coaches of blocks on top of the lintel to make the building taller and roomier but the windows will look short. You can also even add a window atop the lintels, but 8 blocks will look short on the windows.

Wood for the BQ roofing bought and dropped into site, we start treating against termites tomorrow.

Size of the BQ to be roofed.

Topping of blocks on the remaining walls is the work we did today on site.

Meanwhile this is Okija, we traveled because the owner of this house wanted us to assess the condition of the building and see if we can continue the house. From our physical tests, it was clear that we are going to knock down most of this building to build a new duplex on this land.

More on this when the project starts, a new thread will be created to document the transition from an old house to a modern duplex.
