Youths are undoubtedly a remarkable class of people having their strength as their trademark.But being strong is one thing while putting it to good use is another.For several youths,their very strength has led to their downfall.Just as a waterfall can be managed to electricity,it could as well flood a city and destroy lives and properties when unman aged.
How do bright,talented,and savvy youths suddenly become caught up in a life of frustrations,drugs,sex,fraud,selfish ambition?Basically,they try to use their gifts and talents by their own wisdom to create a profitable life.But what happens?Their human energy is exhausted and they begin to fade out….The scripture recognizes this problem with the youths and reveals an interesting solution in the eagle,s life.(Isaiah 40:30-3)Any youth desiring to soar higher than his/her contemporaries must learn to wait upon God,to lean on,to trust in,to wait to be inspired,instructed and timely guided by God in the place of prayer and the word.
The eagle is the only bird with the secret of renewal of life.An eagle can live up to 120 years.About every 40 years,the eagle will separates itself to a secluded place to hibernate.It plucks out her old feathers and allows new ones to grow.After such waiting and seclusion,it comes out looking much younger and stronger.In like manner,the youth who has learnt how to retreat and draw his/her strength from God,s presence will never fade out.
God is not expecting that you will be strong for yourself.Actually,he knows your strength won,t last you long.He,s waiting for you to come collect the provisions he has made available to strengthen you as you go through life.So when are you going to separate yourself to seek His face…..He,s waiting on you,and calling you to come for a refuge in Him.
