its a serious matter get a good lawyer nd do ur best to reach ur bro advise him to come nd carry his cross.u va actually committed no offence but by bailing him from police custody its ur duty to produce him either in court,as in make sure he attends court whenever d matter comes up or whenever the police needs him for questioning,my advise is get a lawyer.

Do three things:
1. Involve other family members to start a manhunt for your brother, the earleir you produce him the faster this ends.
2. Engage a good lawyer to defend you and interface with Nigeria Police, that reduces the embarrassment. Also open communication challenge with a trusted Police snr cadre, just in case things get messy!
3. Depending on the severity of your. Brother's offence, engage the complainant through your lawyer and see if you could strike amicable out of court, out of police settlement with complainant in your brother's absence. This is a very costly option and get family buy in for refund of cost if you don't have sufficient money power.

Be bold and preserve your health and emotional well being while all this lasts. Try not to honour police invitation on a friday evening. It is costlier and messier! Cheers
