Bunch of eediots! They should go and ask what the Ogoni and Bakassi people are going through because of that cursed black gold. The only reason Wada is talking is just personal interest, he'll balance in Government house and share the money amongst himself and sycophants, while the area the useless thing is found will enjoy the worst form of environmental pollution and degradation. You'd think the illiterates would protest against this, I definitely would not welcome that oil into my village.

You are very right,I hope Orient would have an open mind and settle all parties concerned in a just and equitable manner, but if they resort to underhand tactics and divide and conquer,I don't think any Kogi Militant group would be to match Umuleri or Aguleri when it comes to war or aggravation.Umuleri/Aguleri have seen inter-tribal war which lasted for so many years and was characterised by the use of sophisticated weapons and charms of unimaginable proportions. They are very skilled in the art of Guerilla warfare and could be heartless.

i can smell misinformation here. The IDA people is not saying the fact. How can right thinking people say that opl 195/196 bloc is owned by kogi state. I have the map of the bloc. Over 90% of the block is in Anambra. Anyoku has said it all. I worked at Odeke in ibaji LG in Kogi. They are a very good people, but there has not been officially any oil being discovered. It is until Sinopec finish there contract with Orient that they wil say there is any. So, if they fume orient can shun them and focus on major area. All the already existing oil wells ar located in Anambra, at Agulueri Otu. Especially well 1 and 2. While well 3 is close to odeke boundary. I personally ask some Odeke people about their boundary btw them and Anambra. Where they show me is not too close to the boundry. Why am saying this is because i brought out my time to study the block map. So, coment the credited to IDA people is nt true at all.

How come people are already passing judgement and have never seen the actual MAPS of the oil wells? Only one reason: tribalism and selfishness. Why don't you folks wait to see the actual maps? If the map indeed shows any oil in Kogi State, it becomes a joint ownership : 50/50. The refinery in Anambra can make more money because they are adding value to the raw material: crude. This is one more reason why this country CANNOT break without the US/UK/etc based Nigerians losing virtually all their family in a stupid war they fuelled with useless internet talk. The sooner Nigerians begin to see everything for the benefit of all, that is the day our problems begin to get a solution. If any part of Nigeria think they have the monopoly of violence, well remember that is a fallacy. No doubt, the next few days will bring more information for us to make better conclusions.

Thank you for the information.I think its a bit clearer now.So if well 1 and 2 are in anambra and well 3 is at the boundary, then if I may ask, which of the wells is in dispute?.Is well 1 and 2 equivalent to OPL 195 and 196?.I guess the well in dispute is an OML?.Can you shed more light.

One can only imagine how fast you found this topic judging by the fact that you posted first.
How did it happen, did you create keywords with orient, oil, anambra, #excludekogi, #enugutohell ?

Why spew so much hatred for your neighbours, even calling them almajiris. People who share common stone throw borders with you? Have you thought about the possibility of dividing Anambra state and throwing you into another state? Why are you so silly, so greedy that you cant even verify if what Wada said was true. To you, no other state deserve anything good except Your Anambra.
Even Emeka Anyaoku confirmed that there are oil wells in Kogi and Enugu yet you are still dying inside.
When you close your eyes this night, think about what i have said. This attitude of 'doing anything for money' is destroying you. And yet you are still poor.

Gentleman, I think you're saying all these out of ignorance, it's obvious you don't know anything about Aguleri/Umuleri and how far they can go to deal with trespassers, especially with the issue at hand.
You better go read up about the famous Aguleri/Umuleri war before thumping your chest. And like I said before; I wouldn't want any form of violence in the area cos I got a whole lot of money to make from those wells. So beat it!

There is no grandstanding to what I have said. For some inexplicable reasons, people from the riverine areas seem to have very potent charms and are very good in Guerilla warfare in the creeks.A case study is the Niger Delta militancy and the role of the Ijaws and the riverine community.

FYI,most of those that fought the Umuleri/Aguleri war were the core of the dreaded bakassi boys you used to hear of in Anambra untill they were disbanded. When disbanded, they resorted to robbery, terrorising the city of Onithsa and environs, the police knew them but were virtrually helpless, crime abated when they got jobs as thugs to moneybag politicians and peace somehow prevailed in the state, some of them even joined Massob, yes Massob.

So,if you follow this trajectory, you would understand that these communities are as lethal as the Niger delta militants.
