It is. Most of my hair is still relaxed but it takes me hours to detangle because of the few inches of natural hair I have. My arms are vexing for me. That's not even mentioning knotting, dryness, matting, etc. Tightly coiled or curled hair is delicate and takes work.

Who says that black women can't grow long natural hair?

Only someone who knows nothing about human hair and growth rates will say something dumb like that.

This thread has debunked such a claim a long time ago.
All hair types hair grow.

All.

PAPA AFRICA:

This has to be the most sophisticated natural updo hairstyle that I have ever seen. Very sophisticated and lovely, the fact that it's all natural makes it 10 times beautiful.

Meddler: Has anyone used VO5 conditioner as their main deep conditioner? I alwaus use it as a prepoo or as an add in to my concotions. But today I actuallly used it as my main moisturizing conditioner and my hair loves it!! Mixed it with shea butter, castor oil, coconut oil and honey and I can't believe the results. And I have been worried sick about finding a good moisturing conditioner when I had one all along.
An additional bonus my hair is coming along fine. My back her is at APL, wish the rest of my hair wud catch up fast. All in all I'm pretty pleased with my hair progress.

Meddler has come again-o with all the concoctions she mixes up for her hair. Why don't you even start an organic/botanic kind of hair food line?
I am sure that you will make a headway.
I have used a V05 product but that was their shampoo, their products are of good quality.

Darkie! Meddler!
Happy to let you know that I have gone Uber natural on my hair. I am excited about it actually. Barbed off my long relaxed hair leaving behind only my natural hair.
I tried to twist it and lock it but when I went under the shower it untwisted so I am going to use something like the kinky natural to plait it and start locking it with it.
Woop! Woop! Excited.

I love my natural hair and when I see weaves/weavons now I look at it like " I don't need those shiny stuffs, thank you".
Natural hair rocks big time! Exotic and soulful!
There is this Nigerian actress rocking natural hair powerfully nowadays, what's her name? (Nse Etim). I only want those soulful natural look right now.

I am thinking of dyeing it short (as in the pictures below) and having fun with it for a while before locking it rassy.
The only after thought I am having about dyeing it is that i don't want to lose its natural colour but I am going to dye it,
when i am done rocking it short I will lock it into a very uniformly sized and neatly lined rassy lock and when it grows some I will have the dyed part cut off or something.

The final look I will work to achieve is a sweet looking locks like the ones below.
I simply love these looks.

I have always liked the Rassy locks, glad that I have finally gotten round to doing this natural hair thing that I have always loved.
