Mr Lucky G you have got it all wrong completely I am not against what you are doing. This thread says doctors in the house. There is nothing wrong if someone with some knowledge comes here to give advise but to lay claims that you are a gynae when you are not is completely fraudulent. Come out and say it openly and no one would judge you because you are actually not a specialist in that field. People come here thinking they are asking questions to a doctor (not just any doctor a gynaecologist) and take what you say as correct. Would you really like to jeopardize peoples lives like that? I really and truly pray you achieve your dream of being a doc then you would understand better. Like what favouredgal said in 2011 a woman went and met with a supposed doc she met here on nairaland who gave her wrong injections and collected her money only for her to find out he was copying all he wrote from a website. This may not be your intention but it is only fair to be truthful about who you really are. This is the link so you don't think I am cooking up this story https://www.nairaland.com/736902/dr-haastrup-come-defend-yourself |

@clily........If u are practising EXTENSIVE LACTATION....ur act of feeding may reduce the quick propensity to av a pregnancy, this due to d increase PROLACTIN HORMONE.However things alwys go the oda way and some form of contraception may be needed. As a mother such action should be followed under the scrutiny of a good GYN which may tell u reason y u need to make use of a particular contraceptive. This is because some substance ar miscible with the breastmilk and u cant tell which may b harmful to ur baby if u are still breastfeeding him...On using a POSTINOR 2(LEVONOGESTREL ingredient),ur GYN/OBS may see the need to tell u y it is to be used or not.He may advice it if and if only it will nt affect ur health and that of the baby.To av a maximum result with the POSTINOR all indication should be followed and contra-indication as well.It should be used as advice...nt on ur own scrutiny..........So,it means that POSTINOR should in accordance to wat is wriiten der...der is no spare pattern for women afta pregnancy! |

@SIlknSteel....Having a breast discharge cud be debilitating at most time.Breast discharge in the absence of lactation is knwn as GALACTORRHOEA.GALACTORRHOEA usually with a benign tumour of the anterior side of the human pituitary gland. This tumour is knwn as PROLACTINOMAS.This coses a raised up of the PROLACTIN HORMONE in the body, increase of this hormone coses the discharge.Other sustainable research have it dat some drugs cud cos dis problem 2(so look at d medication u in now),such drugs are usual with d ANTIPSYCHOTICS.....ANTIEMETICS and some contraceptives in the like of PROGESTIN-ONLY.GLACTORRHOEA can cos irregular menstruation too in addition to the discharging.Notwithstanding there are probable managment to it of which ur GYN will be discretion render.Such helpin drugs are BROMOCRIPTINE or CARBEGOLINE.It is only in rare cases a GYN would require dat u do a minor surgery to remove the TUMOUR.Often GALACTORRHOEA in somewomen are very stubborn and would require a sense of patience to over come it.Since ur GYN has render to u both an ANTI-ESTROGEN drug like CLOMIPHENE CITRATE and a DOPAMINE AGONIST like BROMOCRIPTINE for this condition,my best advice is dat u should b in dis medication purposely for the duration for it by ur GYN.Honestly,it is a thing of patient and be POSITIVE...pls be positive.U ar advice also to do a HORMONAL ASSAY for ur REPRODUCTIVE HORMONES and THYROID FUNCTION.......PLS VISIT UR GYNAECOLOGIST for full BRIEFING.........THANKS 1 Like |

Hey Doc I had two operations in the past for "Ovarian Cyst" . 1) First one had ruptured, so I did an emergency op. 2) Second one was just too big. I was put on anti-biotics for some weeks, went to measure it, it was still big, so I had to do second op. Both had a difference of three years between diagnoses/operations. Since then, I have had quiet a few, though I have refused to go for another op, choosing to ignore them and carry on with life. Also forgot to mention that I also refused contraception's, I hate them with a passion. ![]() ![]() Are there any dangers when I choose to ignore them ![]() Are my chances of easy conception reduced because of my "cyst " history ![]() Whats up with this recurring? Why? what can I stop doing or start doing to stop them? Forgot to say both ops were major ops, not laparascopy, so the thought of going for another major, just makes me wanna relocate to the North Pole, hence I ignore them these days. |

@chineloSA,....Good afternoon madam,it is such a unbecoming that ur ovarian cyst is coming on and off with you. Thanks to God anyway!.I would not advice you ignore it,it is not good at all.I would advice you meet a good gynaecologist this time around to overly watch this ovarian cyst of yours. The gynaecologist should be in the position to tell why it is repeating once and again. They may have to carryout evaluation to diagnos if any precancerous and cancerous growth is found dis is because of the recurrence.I would advice that u follow all measure render to you for both management and prevention. I wish you all the best! ![]() |

This Lucky-G of a person deserves to be banned. How can a Jamb student pretend to be a gynaecologist, prescribe medications, stop people from using their prescribed medications and still insult their gynaes on top of everything. Please let everybody be very careful the advise we dump and the ones we pick. Pls confirm from your gynaes (or ask for other opinion)on any advice that is given to you here first before going ahead. God help us all. |
