@lilzeez4luv......Since ur wife has bin vaccinated against the virus,no problem.HBV is also a VERTICAL-TRANSMITTED-INFECTION,it means dat it can be transfer from the mother to the baby especially on a parturition per vaginum.However,since she has taken the vaccine(alife or attenuated),she and the baby to come is protected against from the HBV.But unprotected sex should not be proposed btween both of u if she is not vaccinated...if not she may end up with the virus too.

@Julieni..........How

do u knw dat ur DIZZINESS is brought about by body blood shortage? Do u
knw dat dizziness is also a side with PREGNANCY? Do u knw dat we av
endless conditions dat has DIZZINESS just as a symptom? Also,not all
dizziness are abnormal some ar just normal and may self-limit.Have u
take a case study of ur activities? Are u stressed? Do u work ursef too
much diz days? Do u take much water? Do u sweat much? Are u depressed or
psychological sided down? It is so true dat pregnancy require
much,often sometime i refer to pregnancy as '' POSITIVE DISEASE''.Having
DIZZINESS too from ur frame of think may arise from MATERNAL
ANAEMIA,which may be as a result of low body blood or low haemoglobbin
content with the blood.For such case HAEMATINICS may be a
referral.Inshort HAEMATINICS are usually as u evaporate steadily into ut
2nd trimester,dis is given because ur diet cannot supply all the iron
supplement recommended for u and ur baby.If u suffer an intermittent dizziness,y not 1)relax 2)drink a good volume of water 3)watch some comedy show and be happy 4)bath in some cold water for and hot day 5)if severe,y not make use of PARACETAMOL(a CATEGORY-A OBSTETRICAL MEDICATION) so allowed used(follow pharmaceutical guidance) but if with GASTRITIS don't use.For HAEMATINICS,i may render it to u...but usage goes as far as into ur T2 not T1 If u actually dnt av MATERNAL ANAEMIA.So visit ur OBS for cases with ANAEMIA.

@Julieni.....You

just treated TYPHOID/MALARIA fever,and u expect the dizziness symptom
to just quickly vanish away even plus the regular symptoms of
pregnancy..hmmm..not so.You av to give ursef healing space..daz

production for cases of anaemia.CATEGORY-A HAEMATINICS for OBS use is
FERROUS SULPHATE and FERROUS FUMARATE.HAEMATINICS are also use with
FOLIC ACID too.I guess u shud av FOLIC ACID and VITAMIN K nd Bs in ur

@prettybabe731.......Am
really sorry for ur DYSMENORRHOEA(MENSTRUAL CRAMP) and MENORRHAGIA(HEAVY
MENSTRUAL BLEEDING).These are usual with UTERINE
LEIOMYOMAS(FIBROID).Due to the symptomatic unbecoming of ur condition i
would advice u visit a GYN to carryout pelvic exam to find if any degree
to ur uterine benign mass or growth.This is necessary to rule out oda
coincidential problems to ur complaints too.But if the GYN conclude dat ur complaint is a focus from the UTERINE FIBROID alone,then he advice MYOMECTOMY(removal of the fibroid) of any special clinical procedure.In that ur case shows some degree of complication i would advice u remove the fibroid(MYOMECTOMY).The gyn may pipe it down with some drugs,this is to releive u and not a cure or treatment.This is actually done by most GYN b4 a proper MYOMECTOMY is done.We av dfrent form of MYOMECTOMY,it all depend on ur cash and the availability of clinical procedure and instruments to do with some............

hello doc, God will reward you for the good job you are doing. Kudos to you doc.
I am 29years old, married and TTC for 8months after marriage, i went for hormonal assay and my result is as follow:
LH 8.5 follicular
FSH 6.2 follicular
Prolactin 21.9
Progesterone 7.3 Luteal
Estradiol 16.6 Luteal
Conclusion: Hyperprolactinaemia, low estradiol level.

My pelvic scan on 3cd shows normal pelvic scan (uterus is normal size, anteverted with empty cavity and shows normal endometrial lining, ovaries are normal, no adnexal mass, POD is empty, no extra gestation). Please what do you advice; the truth is that we practice weekend couple's life due to Economy demand but what should i do about this low estrogen level and high prolactin. my cycle recently became obviously irregular (maximum ever experience is 35days). I have never been pregnant before.

Hi,
Please I would like to know if it is possible to miss the diagnosis of pre-eclampsia to the extent of having eclampsia. I know of someone that had suffered eclampsia at exactly 24weeks and had classical c-section as d walls of the uterus was not well formed to have a normal c section. The baby died on the 6th day due to extreme premature. She kept all her doctor's appointment but there was never a time the doctor said she was at risk. She was 33years old. Pls I would like to know if age is a contributing factor and what to do to prevent future occurrence. She has also been informed that future pregnancy can only go to 37weeks and the baby has to be delivered.

Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by Nobody: 11:21am On Dec 02, 2013
@ibaby........After

crushing allover ur post,i indeed av some reasons to ask u some qst of
which some are diz: Was this hormone profile dat of last year or 6months
back? if it is true then u av to do anoda this is just for ur medical
history.Reason is that hormone can change positively or negatively for
just a short while.However,if this is a present one,did u do dis test
during ur menstruation or in ur OVULATION.The reason for this is because
PROGESTERONE and BETA-ESTRADIOL(ESTROGEN) changes with the FOLLICULAR
PHASE and the LUTEAL PHASE.BETA-ESTRADIOL is at maximum at the
FOLLICULAR PHASE,it spikes the HYPOTHALAMUS to stimulate the PITUITARY
to produce LH,so OVULATION occur.A very low BETA-ESTRADIOL in the
OVULATORY PHASE may show HYPOESTROGENISM.But in the LUTEAL PHASE,the
BETA-ESTRADIOL is quite minimum but an extreme low ESTRADIOL show
HYPOESTROGENISM too.So a proper confirmation on this test is needed.I
don't knw ur symptoms,but symptoms/complication of HYPOESTROGENISM are
usually HOT FLASHES,VAGINAL DRYNESS,OSTEOPOROSIS n odas with
INFERTILITY.HYPOESTROGENISM in some conditions may settle itself,but if
in severe condition ur GYN may help with special ESTROGEN THERAPY of
which PROGESTERONE may be added.Pls on doin such therapy,it is
adviceable u visit a GYN to check if u av any condition of tumours of
the pelvic to avoid the THERAPY putting u at risk for such condition.Regarding the HYPERPROLACTINAEMIA,visit a GYN he may give u some DOPAMINE AGONIST like BROMOCRIPTINE to reduce the prolactin hormone in blood to reduce as well ur GALACTORRHOEA symptom.Since u ar a TTC women......some fertility drugs may be given in responds to help also to ur poor ovulation.

@noperson.......PRE-ECLAMPSIA,a
condition of PIH with PROTEINURIA.Yes age is a
factor,nulliparity,obesity,GDM,PARTERNITY,MATERNAL IMMUNE TOLERANCE are
factors to PRE-ECLAMPSIA.The most funny tin is that if not followed with
D.D the CLINICIAN may not even get to knw if the woman got it.It shows up >20weeks of gestation.Improper management of PRE-ECLAMPSIA gets to HELLP SYNDROME n finally ECLAMPSIA wich is goes with a definite SEIZURING,KIDNEY,LIVER n HEART CONDITIONS.However,it cud be tamed with the second pregnancy...but this is evenmore CLINICAL.

@Lucky-G
Thanks a lot for your respond, she was a size 2, AA genotype, B+ and in good health. Though both of her parents have cases of high blood pressure but she did not it and there has never been a case of pre-eclampsia in her family. When she had the quad marker screen, she was referred to a perinatal specialist as the doctor said the protein reading was high and could not be explained. It was supposed to be lower than 0.9 but her result was 7.2 which was why she was referred to a specialist. The perinatal doctor did extensive ultrasound and could not find anything wrong with the fetus. He suggested amniocentesis with caution that there is a chance of miscarriage, so she refused the amniocentesis. It is just scary how they could have missed the pre-eclampsia to the extent of having eclampsia with seizure and all organ failure, her blood pressure went as high as 180/240. Between her oby-gn and the perinatal specialist, she was always in the hospital every two weeks and none of them caught the pre-eclampsia. She lives in the United States and was using one of the top hospitals, so one would expect them to provide the best care.
To God be the glory, She made swift recovery as opposed to the doctor's report that she might end up with stroke or other complications because of the total organ shut down. She regain consciousness in ICU on the fourth day and said she was able to go home on the sixth day. The doctors said it was a simply a matter of God's work as everything begin to function normal as if nothing had happen. They still insisted on ct-scan, heart echo, MRI, X-ray, blood work and all manner of test but found nothing wrong. It was as if she never had eclampsia.
Please any suggestions as to how to prevent another episode with her next pregnancy and since the baby would have to be delivered at 37weeks, would the baby be ready and not be pre-term upon delivery.

@noperson......I

kinder have it that PRE-ECLAMPSIA is often asymptomatic and cud knwn
clinical by the physicals of signs and symptoms.That's why you dont have
to blame dem because it is also consuming and b4 u c it,it has turn up to
the ECLAMPTIC CONDITION.No knonw way of apprehension before conception
and this is evenmore disturbing.But then the little we can do can help
breaks many blocks.What r the best of our few steps? They are: 1)She
should stay with one PATERNITY to her pregnancy 2)check for
POST-DELIVERY PRE-ECLAMPSIA after DELIVERY(<6WEEKS) 3)Early n regular
pregnancy care during conception 4)check for VASOCONSTRICTION
FACTORS(clinic) 5)IMMUNOLOGIST to check n diagnosed for POOR GESTATIONAL
IMMUNE TOLERANCE by mother(clinic) 6)IMMUNOLOGIST check and diagnosed on ANTI-PHOSPHOLIPID ANTIGEN SYNDROME and ANTINUCLEAR ANTIBODIES(clinic) 7)General check for T.O.P(clinic) coolcheck for THYROID FUNCTION for cases with SUB-CLINICAL HYPOTHYROIDISM in her preg(clinic) 10)Do a very expensive test for PODOCYTES in a woman with PRE-ECLAMPSIA

@chifreke........Some
times it thus happen that then urine HCG may be so small even to be
detected,dis may be dat ur IMPLANTATION took some days beyond 8days.U
should av it that the HCG in the SERUM increases faster compare to the

may not be acute and may start showing up as ur gestation winds on.So,changes are not vaporatous but latent.But u av to relax,and no cause of alarm.But it is up to 2-3months of from ur lost period,u ar advice to do an OBSTETRICAL SONOGRAPHY to knw the development of the EMBRYO.Within this time,u shud take case note of special changes both positive and negative(not my prayer).This is to knw hw progressive ur pregnancy is going.As time moves on if no severe complication to ur preg.....u shall come to av those symptoms....if nt all......Ur OBS should be visited!
