Am worried Drs pls help. The amount i bled during menses has reduced. I had a miscarriage in April. After going for scan fibroid was seen. I stopped taking diary; milk, yoghurt (has been my major food since i was little) and soya and took only little sugar. I took ACV and BSM for abt 2 months. I noticed that my period is now very light when compared to before. Like i do use 3-4 pads on day1 before now but only one got soaked yesterday. Is this alright?

zeb04:
Sorry my Dear? Are U a known ulcer patient? Do U feel bloated (in ur tummy)? U can treat it symptomatically with antacids (like Gestid tablets, Gelusil, Mist Mag). Apples and apple cider vinegar also help
Amhappy:
Fibroids are known 2 cause heavy menses, so if detoxifying with Apple Cider Vinegar and Black Strap Molasses supposedly caused d lighter menses, I think it's progressive. When next U opt 4 a scan, compare d latest size of the fibroid masses with the previous ones. Glad U cut down on sugar & meat and avoided processed food. U can also add Dandelion root and Milk while optimizing ur chances of getting pregnant with the hormone-balancing Vitex
Olami009:
This is a typical Conjuctivitis. Does it produce pus? Is this affecting both eyes? Get an antibiotic (Chloramphenicol) eye drop and apply 2 drops to the eye 4 times daily (every 6 hours that will suit ur schedule). Also, take 10 mg of Loratadine 2 cover for any allergy
Oyalimet:
Start taking antioxidants (ask a pharmacy, there are many brands), use a sunscreen (I suggest Sebamed SPF30 SunCare) as ur cream. U can also apply a vitamin C serum like Carotein serum 2 ur normal cream or to d Sebamed
unculu:
Yes, most couples produce a baby after such infections. Staph & Strep are easily treated when U have a SENSITIVITY report from the test result (most sensitivity results encourage use of Ceftriaxone or Penicillin injections). Also, both partners have 2 be treated

The vaginal discharge with or without blood stains is normal at 39 wks and it is called bloody show if comes with blood stains. It is usually a sign of inevitable labor. It is all in the preparation of labor and childbirth.
Normal delivery time is 40weeks and I am sure you have an edd from the Obstetric Scan report given to u when took an Obstetric Scan.Pls visit the health care centre u have been having ante-natal for clarity.

ACM10:

We are dealing with the problem of infertility here. But, before I label it infertility, I hope that you've had a regular, unprotected intercourse of atleast 3 different days in a week for one year. If this criteria is not met, then I can't label your condition infertility.

I must warn you to stop taking all the herbal concortions immediately. They might call it drugs or supplements. Just throw all of them into your waste bin.

If the result of your se.men analysis is to be believed, then you have a problem which need to be corrected. Candida infection in your wife cannot cause infertility.
Azoospermia is not the only information which may be of interest here.
I will be interested in sex hormone assay. These sex hormones include FSH, LH, and testosterone. I want to determine if you have a case of primary testicular failure.
I'm also interested in the breakdown of the se.men analysis. The following are normal parameters in se.men analysis:

Semen volume(atleast 1.5ml)
Spermatozoa count(atleast 20 million/ml)
Spe.rm motility(atleast 60%)
Morphology(60% normal forms)
WBC count in se.men(none)

There are some treatment options for you. But it depends on the cause of the infertility. The treatment is tailored to the cause. If some viable spe.rm cells can be salvaged from your eja.culate, then I suggest that you choose the option of In Vitro Fertilization(IVF). IVF is expensive, a session of IVF costs about N700K. The chances of conceiving in any session is 30%. If it fails, then you may have to repeat the session by paying another N700K. There are many IVF specialist in Nigeria, but I will recommend Prof. Onah for you. He is presently the HOD of Obstetrics and Gynaecologist in UNTH, Enugu and runs a successful private fertility clinic. You can come over to Enugu with your wife to meet him for him to plan and tailor your line of management based on the need of both of you.

All the best.
please what's the name of Prof. Onah private hospital in Enugu? ?

Hello Doc, great job here. Pls kindly help interprete this result for me, I've been TTC for about 1year now..

FSH 7.66
LH 5.74
E2 54.46
PRL 10.81
DHEAS 223.1
TESTO 0.29
PROG (day21) 17.32

Note: I've been pregnant before even before I got married, dont know why am having difficulty now. My husband has also gone for test and was satisfiedwith PASSED. Please I need help as soon as I can get. I've also gone for Abdominopelvic scan which reveals everything is OK.

But I've been having issues with my MP. It only comes for 1 or 2days with approximately 5-10mls of blood flow. As per if I decided to use a Pad for the whole day, it will never get soaked. Pls does my hormonal profile result has anything to do with this? Or is there something hidden that I do not know? Pls I really need help... Thanks

How many cycles till date have u been having light periods? Of course the light periods experienced are caused primarily by hormonal factors.
Please let's have the range of values that came alongside this hormonal result u posted above so that we can help accordingly.

Would have loved 2 look at the result of ur hormone profile test (if any). Seems U had Premenstrual Syndrome. Can U predict ur ovulation? Get Evening Primerose Oil (sells for about N800-1500 depending on d no of capsules) and take a capsule twice a day till ur ovulation day. U can also buy Vitex (possibly from a GNC pharmacy in ur location) to correct any hormonal imbalance. Report back

Ur symptom description sounds strange 2 me. Can U feel d pain in d bones, muscles or U can't pinpoint the area of greatest pain. Do U feel pain when U press ur butt? Any fever or abnormal vagginal discharge?

Will advise U visit Uniben Teaching Hospital for the assisted reproduction technique (IVF) cos they are kinda affordable and have a TEAM of professionals

N.B I just concluded prenatal vitamins about 72 hours before this test. And the result reads INDICATIVE OF OVULATORY CYCLE. And this getsme cconfused!

The light periods has been for notting less than 24CYCLES, went to the hospital when it first started and after Tests like HVS, HCS and the likes I was told nothing is wrong. Also did Untrasound, nothing too. Pls kindly help me as to what is wrong and how I can go about it.

Though you wrote the ranges, madam it is also required you write the concentration UNIT written near them or next to them. Those units are very important in the analysis of your hormonal biochemistry.

Since your result is indicative of an OVULATORY CYCLE,this simply put that at the time or the interval you did this test, you are in an OVULATORY CYCLE.In otherwords, your menstrual bleeding for those time or now(if it was done presently) is not ANOVULATORY(that is,a bleeding without OVULATION).It means, you are OVULATING.

Cos I note that my Body Temperature is always very warm, sometimes Hot too that hubby even complain about it. I also have frequent headache too sometimes when I wake up in the morning and even at night before bed.

Also I can't determine when am ovulating too. Cos No Cervical Mucus, No raise in temperature (My temp has always been btw 36.6-36.9) all through my cycle which I have kept for the past 6months. Even when I checked with clearblue Ovucheck for the specific 5days for Ovulation ( as specified by my Ovulation Calculator on Baby Centre website) all I get is a negative result.

Pls help me, cos my mood is seriously affecting my marriage, I even run away from sex this days! Or get bruised cos I don't even have secretions to lubricate my PP! All I see is a whitish discharge with no specific odour on my pants. I need you to help me plsssssss!!!!

My dear, nothing is wrong with your result and the units attached to it.You got doubts abt the PROGESTERONE.The truth is that during a woman's ovulation and the time later, the PROGESTERONE comes high above the normal range. This shows you are ovulating. As for your LH,it got no problem too.Generally, these seems to culminate with the fact that you seem to be in your ovulating period.

Do you regularly feel warm? Does these warmed feelings showed in some interval? If before you got the knowledge that you are ovulating, how do you discern it and by what measure? During ovulation in some women, they do have such feelings,warmthness,headache,mid-cycle pain and series of perculiar discharges normal with ovulation.

Can you describe your discharges?
Could they all be the same all through your cycle? Do you always observe your monthly fluid? Do you have problem counting your cycle? When do you observe a good body temp. than the usual?

Madam,it is not too impressive that you take things too difficult for yourself.A positive feeling of happiness puts the hormones to work well for you, don't be surprise that your PP lack fluid in that you allow your mood to spoil the show.Be happy and the hormones will start working for you as you wish.By the way, nothings seem to be wrong with the result and so you got nothing to butt your mind against all the time, all required from you is time yourself proper for OVULATION,know how to count your cycle and play along with it.

I sincerely appreciated the good work you're doing and most specially your response to my request. You seems to know what am going through.

I usually feel the warm sensation almost throughout my cycle.which makes idifficult for me to determine ovulation by BBT. Also my Discharges before now ranges between Mucoid white-dryness -egg white-like discharge-thick Mucoid then flow resumes. But since I've been having this issue, I've not been seeing the egg white-like discharge, all I see is the Mucoid stuff. Thanks all the same.

I would wish you case study yourself this time around, and please do me by removing your fears and negative-mindedness of your discharge. In a woman's cycle, she has two kind of mucoid stuff. The 1st one is usually light, less sticky and tacky in display. It may also simulate a less pap-like fluid too.Our the fluid to dry up either on ur pant or pad,you may observe that in one or two egg-white pattern may show up.The other comes soon after menstruation,it is usually stick and not viable for the seminal fluid. So,study yourself, take time with dexterity to know when this discharges stops and the light one comes up and then try to know when this light one comes in excess.During that period of excess, the estrogen is high and soon enough ovulation will kick off.

Since you can't detect your ovulating week/wake by basal temperature.Counting by the calender method may be useful.Meet a doctor to tell you your cycle or rather teach you how to count it especially with cases with menstrual irregulation. Please becareful enough, stabilise your feelings/mood and you shall find that your discharges actually changes.

To ease the tension, let have your cycle days presently to 3months back,so we can figure out your menstrual cycle. But if you have a constant menstrual cycle, let us also know and the number of days.
