Hello brethren, pls i applied for DE into unn med school and i understand that prospective students must write a screening exam. The problem is that i dont know what books to read since DE applicants would start from 2nd yr and therefore our exam would certainly be more difficult than the post utme. But i assume that it will be based on 1st yr med school material. So pls could you kindly list the names of the txt books you used in your first yr. Your response and advise will be greatly appreciated. Tanx.

Yes, obtain a change of course form. It depends on whichever course you think you can go into. You could try some courses in Faculty of Agriculture or Sciences. Don't give up on your hopes yet. You can still pursue it.

You need to know the academic calendars of the institutions and look out for whichever would still be processing admission by then. I think that is something you have to do yourself. Check out the institutions that you might be interested in and find out when they're resuming. Good Luck!

I already chose MCB & BCH in my DE n I dont tink I'd lyk chose dem again in jamb, I'd av preferd a medical course even bt I cant use my result(SLT) 4 it so I opted 4 those science courses. Thanks again sir,I'm familiar wit d unilorin calendar bt I saw on thread dat d cut off 4 d aforementioned courses is 220, I hope it can b brought down as knw as possible 2 meet my score. I'll do evrytin possible even if its getin a 1st degree den medicine, I wont mind. I jst luv d medical line.

uniloin runs a september/may calendar, but accepts only 2.1 in anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, zoology and microbiology.......

Which course did you study exactly?...the one with which you graduated with a 2.1. I think that is the major determining factor, not the individual subjects.

to me oooo, i'll advice u go for physiology, there are alot of specialties there, especially sports physiology, which is very lucrative course if u get to travel abroad......

cardio-pulmonary physiology and neuroendocrinology are also good places to specialize in......

..I do like physiology too,especially cardio-pulmonary.Hw many years is d course,r dey also goin to stay a year for housemanship and for cardio,are they always need for surgery or surgical procedures?....sorry for much quntz.
