Not absolutely true, some schools do not request for NYSC discharge cert. E.g UNIZIK. Some folks who get in 200L via D.E are currently "ghost-serving".

I know.. I didn't say all schools... but " most"....

Hello, good morning.

They consider the grade you graduate with. A 2-1 is the minimal requirement. They also look at your O'level results.

There may be more criteria though.

It's 70% UTME, 30% O'levels (10 for 1 sitting).
100L MBBS is 52k+.

Taking Physiology Seriously Or Getting Dentistry??

I am in my penultimate year studying Physiology at the University of Ibadan, I have gotten Jamb's UTME form in which I applied to study dentistry at ABU, Zaria, should I concentrate more on the UTME (Since the job prospects of Physiology are few) or take the Physiology seriously?

Lagusta, Eloise, Mandeyy, Dr.Lomaxx, angiography, RectusAbdominis, tonye001, DrThanos, Dbraniac1, oogway, dolapo74, gregdcutie, exorene, starfx, au79, Zico5, donpre, ISISs et al
You are in the exam period now ,I hope I guessed right.Nevertheless ,I am very sure if you can devote at least four hours in a day to solving past question and with you residual knowledge you will be fine.Ensure you read Dele Ashade and the novel religiously for Use of English.
With a 300 and above utme score and good post utme dentistry is sure.

By the way,this is to degree certificate holder in courses such as biochemistry ,physiology ,anatomy,human nutrition that intend to go MBBS in University of Ibadan.From my exhaustive research ,Direct entry admission in UI is a based strictly on merit .The class of degree and o level grades in the five subjects is used to rank all the candidates irrespective of the school you graduated from.
So I think best bet is first class and at least 2A1 and 3B.That will reduce the odds against such candidates.
so you can attack GCE and garner all the A1 possible.
I think 2.1 holder with very strong o level grades can stand a chance .However ,it is better you combine DE and utme.
Good luck

A partially accredited medical school CAN NOT graduate students; that's the implication.

Jamb 70%
Waec 20%
No of Sitting 10%
For waec
A1=8
B2=7
B3=6
C4=5
C5=4
C6=3
D7=2
E8=1

(JAMB score/400) x 70 = x
(WAEC grade/40) x 20 = y
1 sitting = 10

Aggregate= x + y + 10

That's how it was done last year.
