Another challenge is to list any Governor in history of Igboland who has built 100 schools with UBE. I know Okorocha did 300.

Are you this dumb or you just kidding?
You actually believe your own lie Even if he did what change has that brought to Education sector in Imo ? Building news schools without reforming old system is a waste on time and funds. Example,Rivers State after spending billions in school structures failed in achieving the desired standard. Its not about building schools but the reforms that comes with it.

My question is not about if its right or wrong but its rather rhetorical and that is why all the Okorocha critics are dodging it. Let me repeat again.

1 Has any past or present Governor in the Southeast embarked on dualising a highway linking two different cities in the State? Example Enugu to Nsukka, Umuahia to Arochukwu, Onitsha to Awka, Abakaliki to Afikpo etc. Rochas did it from Owerri to Orlu.

2 Has any past or present Governor in the Southeast given free education to university level? Owelle did it in IMSU for both indigenes and non-indigenes.

3 Has any past or present Governor in the Southeast built more than 100 schools in 8years? Okorocha did it in 4 years.

If anyone has the records of any past leader that did it, let us know.

The road is not really that long. It is about 30 to 35 km. Between 2010 and 2012 Owerri to Imopoly Umuagwo was covered but work slowed down in 2013 and it has been so till date. If they can rush it because of elections I will appreciate.

IMO STATE GOVERNMENT HOUSE
PRESS RELEASE
Armed Soldiers numbering more than one hundred Tuesday,
February 10, 2015 stormed the Government House, Owerri and
barricaded the main entrance with armoured vehicles on the order
of the Junior Minister for Education, Prof. Viola Onwuliri. The
soldiers on arrival caused stampede at the Government House as
workers ran helter skelter for safety, but one young man was not
all that lucky and was beaten to coma.
On hearing about the soldiers’ action at the Government House,
Owerri, women and youths numbering about five thousand
stormed the Government House to confront the soldiers, but they
were prevented from doing so by Senior Government officials
around who pleaded with the youths and women not to confront
the soldiers.
As the situation was becoming choatic the Governor, Owelle
Rochas Okorocha who was returning from Abuja arrived the scene
and there was thunderous shouts of Owelle, Owelle, Owelle, by the
women and youths.
Addressing the crowd, the Governor said, “some of the PDP leaders
led by Viola ‘Otuashi’ Onwuliri, the great liar of the century were
behind all these. The woman that that claims the 305 schools
belong to Federal government and some other PDP leaders who
brought some women and some thugs who are dressed in women
clothes. I also learnt that some of these people are not women,
most of them are men who are dressed in women’s clothes to
come here and destroy the Government House”.
“Now it is obvious that what is happening in Nigeria is caused by
the PDP. And again, it is obvious that the said Viola Onwuliri
claimed that she has the support of the Presidency to organize this
crime. Now, she claims that she is going for protest and the
protest without being escorted by the Nigeria Police; but rather
she used the army. The army gathered here and beat up the
innocent children of Imo state. ”
“Imo state is peace loving people, and I want to call on Mr.
President to warn his minister and warn the leadership of PDP in
Imo state to desist from this action, before they incur the wrath of
the people. This reminds us of what happened in 2011 election
where they tried to use the army and the Police and the SSS to rig
the election. But let me tell them that they are making a big
mistake. Not in Imo State.”
“And again, thank you for protecting democracy. I didn’t know you
can come out in such number within 2 seconds to protect
democracy. I want to say that, the army has our respect and must
never be used as an instrument to disrupt democracy in Nigeria.
Now, if there is going to be a protest, police should be informed
and police ought to escort those who are protesting. So it is
obvious they came in here to set the Government House on fire.
That was the intention of this woman who said it was the
Presidency that has told her to use the army to commit this crime.
And I am so surprised that at this point, no action has been taken
neither from the police nor the army nor the SSS. Rather, they
beat up and almost killed an innocent boy.”
“ But we shall never allow evil men again to rule Imo state. My
People! My people!!”
“I want to thank you. And I am sure those women from Abia state,
I want to warn them and the Abia state government not to allow
their women again to be recruited into Imo state to cause crises
as we are going to deal with then according to law.”
“I also want to advise you that you should see these young officers
and the young corporals as innocent. Do not hold them
responsible. They only acted on the orders from above. So we
should not make them our enemies. Which means, they are our
brothers and sisters. They are only acted on instructions. But let
them also tread with caution. Because this is the last time this will
happen again in Imo state.”
“I want to ask you to remain calm and the boy who was almost
killed, this morning we shall take him to hospital and possibly fly
him abroad to make sure he is well. My people! My people!”

These things you are rambling about are irrelevant at this stage of our discussion.
Why would any sensible person support free education that doesn't guarantee quality?
Dualizing a major road is just a fraction of a tenth of a percentage of things the government was elected to do....How is that a great feat ? And why are you more concerned about whether it has happened in other southeast states? If you want us to compare Anambra and Imo we can head on and see where that takes us.
Again, these brand new 100 schools is just a figment of your imagination but lets for once accept it exists. So ,how has that raised education standard in Imo Why is Imo poor educational standard still getting worse ? And also Why haven't Imo overtaken Anambra since you have 100 new schools ? At your age you shouldn't be a fool. The same you think building church with state's money and have pictures of white people painted on the walls is of more economic importance than a stadium. Its not about comparing Anambra and Imo as they are mere creations because people of same background are found in both States and hence the States is artificial. Maybe we can compare individuals or government.

The reality is that a lot of poor people now have access to education and hence brighter chances of escaping from poverty. We cannot ascertain at this stage the impact of Okorocha's free education with regards to quality but Imo schools seem to be outperforming others in competitions. In 20 years time, millions of people would have been impacted by the free education policy.

Dualising roads joining two cities and cutting through several communities is equally a welcome development. In addition to these, many roads leading into hamlets and less populous areas have also been built to join the major ones. It is good.

Reviving comatose industries like Ada palm, Avutu poultry and Standard Shoes is also good for Imo people. The major problem remains being able to privatise these establishments and relieving government from the leakages involved. Ada palm has been privatised in form of lease than outright sale. Its same with Concorde Hotel and ITC. They had difficulties at 1st but are now doing well under private management. The major problem now is gettiing investors to lease Oguta wonder lake, Avutu poultry and Standard shoes. I believe the frictional relationship between Okorocha and Jonathan is the reason for FG sabotaging investors and abandoning nearly all federal projects in the State.

Imo will experience better development if Jonathan leaves and an unbiased, people friendly government takes over.

Viola Onwuliri was Gov. Ohakim's Deputy gov candidate in 2011 election contest against Rochas Okorocha. Ohakim drafted Onwuliri's now late husband to preside over the gubernatorial election. Jega appointed, because he did not know details.

Eagle-eyed groups for Okorocha stopped that. Onwuliri did not preside over the election. Okorocha spent four years as governor spending Imo state money on the state capital - with only a few purpose-made roads outside the state capital. Okorocha's eagle eyes this election?

If you have been to Imo States villages, you would notice that most have the schools. Its of no use making much ado about nothing when we all have eyes and can see with them. There is total of 305 schools and at least 80% are complete with another 20% at least 80% completion. Everything is not about lies and lies like Jonathan. I as a man simply believe in truth, honesty and integrity. If a non-Nigerian is invited to assess me he would be marveled at my level of sincerity.

Now this is one of Jonathans stooge acknowledging the existence of the schools which many comments on this thread are trying to deny even with my pictures.

http://www.theguardianmobile.com/readNewsItem1.php?nid=39482

TENSION is mounting in Imo over the actual ownership of
some projects sited in Imo, between the Imo state governor,
Chief Rochas Okorocha and the Minister of State for Education,
Prof. Viola Onwuliri.
While Onwuliri is insisting that the Federal Government built
the 305 twin storey – building primary school structures at the
cost of N46 million each located in the 305 electoral wards in
the 27 local councils of the state.
But Okorocha says the projects are being executed by his
administration .
Briefing journalists on Sunday in Owerri, capital of Imo State,
Onwuliri said the attention of her ministry was drawn to claims
by claimed by Okorocha that his administration was
constructing the fabricated buildings as part of the free
education programme enunciated by him, discountenancing
the claim, that the Federal government had began labelling all
the projects it executed in the state in order to disallow the
Imo state government from claiming the projects.
