continues.

Rehabilitation of Owerri Water Works.

Una get luck. Since 2011, Imo state has been having governors from nearby Orlu but who are like they swore that Orlu shall not be.
There was a similar water supply project for Orlu senatorial zone proposed by IMSG starting from Mbakwe administration.
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Amah70: 10:33am On Jan 15, 2022
If gov Hope Uzodinma starts work on Orlu regional water supply system whose feasibility studies were completed by Mbakwe administration to supply treated running water to nearly all the 12 LGAs in Orlu senatorial district, the next governor shall complete the water project.

But will Hope Uzodinma not believe that the water project shall make Orlu develop, therefore he will not start it?

But I have posted rehabilitation of water schemes in Orlu town and zone, even pipe laying.

Talk is about the proposed surface water supply system for Orlu senatorial zone, similar to the Owerri zonal surface water supply system, not the borehole system you post that usually stops supply of water shortly after commissioning.

Similar surface water supply project was started in Okigwe by Mbakwe administration, and was completed by Udenwa administration. It went under like this Owerri water works during Ohakim administration. At Amuro-Okigwe, the multi billion Naira dam of Okigwe surface water supply system built by Mbakwe administration is now used by youths as swimming pool.

Since about one year you started to post non existing rehabilitation of bore holes in Orlu, no pipe borne water flows in the area. Above all, water boreholes are used to supply water to isolated settlements. Imo politicians know full well that water boreholes cannot serve for supply of treated portable water in Orlu and Okigwe zones. They know that the surface water supply system proposed by IMSG is inevitable for Orlu and Okigwe zones.

Imo River was dammed in Amuro Okigwe for Okigwe regional surface water supply project.

Njaba or Orashi river was proposed by IMSG starting from Mbakwe administration to be dammed for Orlu regional surface water supply project.

Otamiri River was dammed for Owerri regional surface water supply project.

Underground drain system from works layout to Nworie river to commence soon

UPDATE ON MCC/URRATA ROAD

Inline with the avowed fulfilment of His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma's promise on embarking on massive roads construction for the year 2022 especially as it concerns critical roads across the State.

Leo9 Asphalt and Construction Company has kick-started the reconstruction of Mcc/ Urratta road as earth moving equipments are on site undertaking clearing of the road in preparation to redefine and give a facelift to the road.

The ongoing reconstruction of the Mcc/Urratta will in no small measure meet the expectations of Imo people as well as residents of the area due to it strategic importance.

Recall that the State Commissioner for Works, Ralph Nwosu had earlier last week given a hint on critical roads that will be given priority attention which included Mcc/Urratta road among other roads.

It is also expected that World bank/Umuguma road, Naze-Nekede-Ihiagwa-Obinze-Road road, Naze/Egbu road, Mgbidi/Oguta road, College road Mgbidi, construction of underground tunnel from works Layout to Nwaorie River and many others will start receiving adequate attention in the coming days.

Oh, boy! Stop disturbing that guy.
He's not your governor.
If you want your governor to do something for you, make your way to the government house.

Quoting one doesn't amount to disturbing the person, unless to a jaundiced observer.
One must be sure of what one places on social media before placing them; no posting of falsehood to promote a governor.

Your community did not march to govt house to tell the governor what your community merits from government.

Like miracle, two governors who bear grudges emerged from Orlu senatorial district since 2011. Both of them, worse, the present, have arrested development in Orlu area. Some of you enjoy the show.

For thick and blocked brains to understand is reason for repeating the same thing over and over again in the social media; even in the classroom.

In 16 years, Aba once touted as the Japan of Africa crumbled because two consecutive governors from Bende-Umuahia area, abandoned Aba infrastructures for 16 years to crumble, as they were building their Umuahia as state capital in their home area of Abia state.

Similar thing has happened to Imo state, but through two consecutive governors of Imo state from Orlu senatorial district with their grudges against unseen enemies in Orlu urban LGA.
Aba, Umuahia and Orlu were rated by Mbakwe administration as the industrial hubs of then Imo state. The two Imo governors have halted urban development in Orlu, with decay of urban infrastructures.
Propagandists of the gov here who have little grey matter can't ask: is Owerri the only place in Imo state?

U think u are making sense by the so many rubbish u always type? How can a sane person choose to suffer his people because he has beef with one individual? Does that even sound reasonable to u? Oga try and grow up, I know u are over fifty, but they say age is just a number. To even buttress ur selfish and wicked nature, why are u always talking only about Orlu? No o, the earlier pix didn't show anything that'll have made one know the road.

A big kudos to the contractors that did the road. I lodged in a guesthouse in that road few years back when it was uncompleted and led to a very big ditch... I actually pitied those living around there

Last Xmas was my first time seeing it since its construction and I was really impressed. Lodge close to the place also, and I can say they did a really nice job, the road looks similar to CBN quarters or whatever it's called (the road opposite ShopRite)

Side note: Can the governor quickly do something about the bad portions of the road between ABC park and ShopRite, because I'm sure if it's left that way, the damage will escalate once the rains come

Unfortunately, I couldn't visit Nekede area to know how far with the proposed constructions over there, although I noticed places I went to outside Owerri didn't seem to have much government presence in terms of infrastructure

Hope Uzodinma said due to the lack of public recreation park for families in imo state, construction has commenced on a recreation park with marine transportation along the cost line of otamimiri river, it will incorporate boat restaurant, and also gonna be one of the largest public recreation park in Nigeria.

Also tourism guide and digital platforms for tourism in Imo state will be launched on the first quarter of this year.

Craneburg construction will also remodel Owerri Aba road, and owerri Umuahia after delivery it's current contract come April 22

What happened to all the ones Rochas constructed, I guess they were left to rot. Even ICC at warehouse looks like a semi-demolished building, which is very bad for a structure of that magnitude
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Yampotatocarrot(m): 5:08pm On Jan 16, 2022
Let me add this, I went towards FUTO and I was disgusted at the current state of the Police headquarters built by Rochas and I think Prison headquarters or so. Is the present administration telling me those huge complexes will be left to totally decay? Some parts of the police headquarters are already falling apart

Na wa oooooooooo...

Special mention to the developers building estates around FUTO busstop, they are doing a really great job. I saw atleast two estates there and they've gone really far. Infact one already had some residents. Im sure those estates will open that area of Obinze. They've cleared roads already, just to connect light. People with lands around there have started putting dwarf fences, earnestly waiting for the estates

Why did Hope Uzodinma stop the reconstruction works on many urban roads in Orlu started by former governor Ihedioha, if he has sense to understand that his grouse against one or two persons in Orlu must not be used to deny comfortable urban roads to the 10s of thousands of people living by the abandoned roads in Orlu?

Perhaps he has his reasons (not justifying his actions). In Nigeria we play dirty politics, where a governor always abandons projects started by his predecessors especially if from opposition party. But to tell me he abandoned it because he had beef with one man in Orlu is very unreasonable.

You apparently justified reason for governors abandoning works started by their predecessors from opposition parties as why Hope Uzodinma stopped work started by Ihedioha on the urban roads of Orlu.
So why then does Hope Uzodinma continue with reconstruction works on the urban roads of Owerri, started by Emeka Ihedioha?

you are saying hope has abandoned certain roads in orlu because he has issues with one or two orlu men meanwhile hope is from orlu zone and you were happy when sc announced him as governor..you were always criticising ihedioha when he was still in power now you are saying hope has abandoned the roads ihedioha started....it is also the same way you were saying rochas abandoned orlu because he had issues with some orlu men

To be me am particularly not happy those structures where left to rot, but I have it in good authority that IMSG has approved the relocation of prisons to the new complex, after it must have been renovated and I believe the police HQ will follow suit. But Hope seems to be focusing on road infrastructure first before structures, House of assembly is just been renovated now, even though it was billed for reconstruction last year. ICC I believe will be renovated, the roof trusses is the problem.

Hope seems to be taking his time he's not rushing like ndaa Rochas, I love how he delivers his works. He said he will focus more on rural roads this year, so let hold him by his words, old Owerri residents will appreciate him greatly for the underground drain that arrested flooding at that chukwuma Nwoaha road and federal housing area.
A new underground drain system is to commence from work layout to Nworie river to arrest flooding in Amakohia and Akwakuma axis.
