Gbenga Obasanjo's Wife Spills The Beans! by ono(m): 1:12pm On Jan 16, 2008
Gbenga, first son of former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, got contracts from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) while his father was in office, his estranged wife, Mojisola, has claimed.

Mojisola and Gbenga are currently seeking the dissolution of their seven-year-old marriage at the Lagos High Court, Ikeja Division, in Suit No. ID/172HD/2006. While Gbenga is claiming that his wife was sleeping with the former president  - his own father - in order to get government contracts, Mojisola claims her husband has been violent towards her. In her cross-petition against Gbenga, who is the petitioner, Mojisola is demanding hefty compensation because of the financial status of the husband.

She claimed under “Particulars of Income of the Petitioner” that the petitioner (Gbenga) makes an average annual income of N500 million. According to her, “The Petitioner earns from commissions paid to him as an Agent to a construction company with various construction projects, which was recently awarded an 11 billion Naira construction contract.

“The Petitioner has several construction contracts from Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
“The Petitioner owns substantial shares in an Oil Trading Company, Linetrale Trading Company Ltd, a Company engaged in importing, selling, supplying and marketing of petroleum products.
“The Petitioner also collects oil allocations from Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
“The Petitioner receives payments from Health Aids Support Services, an HIV consulting firm currently working on a transaction with MTN, and some state governments.
“The Petitioner receives commission for brokering different deals on behalf of foreign companies and earns a sizeable commission therefrom.
“The Petitioner received Commission for the supply of 800 vehicles to Ogun State.
“The Petitioner has substantial investment in some Oil Blocks.
“The Petitioner has substantial investment in Glo Oil Ltd. and Hyster Investments Ltd.”

She claimed Gbenga had the capability to earn income because he is a “medical doctor with a Masters in Public Health and a PhD from Johns Hopkins University, USA. The Petitioner has the goodwill of being the son of the serving President of the largest black nation in the world which gives him access to several eminent world political leaders and business personalities all of which he has utilised and continue to utilise and leverage upon to earn considerable income […] all state governors in Nigeria, Commissioners of various States in Nigeria top executives in the public and private sector of the Nigerian economy.”
She listed the physical estate of her husband as “land in Maitama, Abuja, land in Banana Island, Ikoyi, land in Lekki Phase 1, land in Abeokuta, a house in GRA Ikeja, Peugeot 607, Land Cruiser Jeep 2006 model, Kia Opirus” among others.

She claimed she became aware of the particulars of Gbenga’s income as a result of “prior discussions” between them while they lived together.

As “ancillary relief” for the dissolution of the marriage, Mojisola asked the court for a permanent order directing the Petitioner to pay a lump sum of N54 million for the maintenance of the Respondent (herself) and the two children of the marriage, Boluwatife and Wuraola, till the children attain  adulthood.
She also sought an order that the Petitioner provide two of the fleet of cars owned by him for the Respondent and her children's use together with a chauffeur to be paid by the Petitioner; an order that the family house at No. 8 Ladipo Bateye Street, GRA Ikeja be settled on the Respondent or in the alternative the Petitioner be ordered to pay the sum of N50million to be used by the Respondent to purchase a decent house of comparable standard for the accommodation of the Respondent and her two children; and an order directing the Petitioner to make adequate financial arrangement for provision of security for the two children of the marriage (including adequate security safeguards for the premises where they will be residing) being grand children of the incumbent president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Mojisola is seeking a monthly payment of N300,000 for the period of 15 years or till the children attain adulthood.
She is also seeking that the Petitioner pay a lump sum of £360,000 or its Naira equivalent and $400,000 or its Naira equivalent for the education of their two children of the marriage. The sum of £360,000, she claimed, would cover cost of school fees for a period of six years each for the two children at a secondary school in Switzerland already picked by their father, while $400,000 would be the cost of a four-year degree programme for both of the children in an American University.

Gbenga’s younger sister, Dr. Iyabo Obasanjo-Bello, a former commissioner in Ogun State, is currently being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over claims that she assumed a “fraudulent” identity to help an Austrian company, in which she had interest, to secure power contracts in Nigeria while her father was president.

Aside from this shameful washing of ''personal dirty linen in public'', which I believe OBJ and his family deserves, I can only pray to God to give us women who'd prolong our lives as men here on earth as wives.

I thought Obasanjo once swore that no Owu man is a thief. Now we see that Obasanjo himself (an Owu chief) his daughter Iyabo, and his first son (Gbenga, whose wife's congo was shined by his father and father inlaw) are Owu thieves.

Now there is a woman with a golden puszy capable of earning her back-door contracts equal in size to the entire federal budget of a few neighboring African countries.

You go Mojitemi, you know you got it.    You are the girl who turned a president AND his son into grovelling horn dogs ready to give away the whole treasury just to tag some more of that ass.  Ooooooh yeah, you know that has GOT to be some tasty chit.

the story is not only shameful to my yoruba people but pathetic. I wonder why a fellow woman will bend so low as to sleep with her father inlaw just for money. God help us all and let us better keep this low because the whole world is reading this. Thats why i wished Gbenga would have kept quiet about this and list it under 'irreconcilable differences'.
Re: Gbenga Obasanjo's Wife Spills The Beans! by ono(m): 10:14pm On Jan 16, 2008
@Funmi,
I concur, but you know how OBJs greed can propel him into doing abominable things. That man is ''trouble incarnate'' trouble waiting to explode! OBJ has done a lot of damage to the psyche of the average egba man in particular and the Yoruba people in general. Never in the history of this country has anything like this ever happened to both serving or retired leader of this nation.

May God help us not to ''hear'' this kind of story again in our lifetime. What a mind boggling shame!

How do you hope for naija to learn and grow by hidding the most basic information?

I have not seen the original petition and cross petition but it appears the wife has not denied the allegation of adultery and most importantly the affair between her and her own father.

If her husband claims that she is a gold digger and with all those monetary demands (moreso that she seems to have awful lot of money of her own) it is clear that she has not dispel those tags of being a gold digger.

All I can say is that the whole episode look a big shame if it is true, but since we don't have good libel law in Nigeria, the papers might print whatever they like whether true or not.

The good thing about life is that sooner or later majority of the truth will be clear and evidence in open.

But if OBJ and moji's father did do what gbenga has alledge then those two parent's are eternally cursed.

Maybe this is what OBJ spend 8  years doing that he cannot fix our electricity.

God we ask you to take away peace from the people who has not given Nigerians peace.

The Obj family have stole, and stole, and stolen mercilessly from the Niger delta oil money.
There cup is now full and over flowing.   Nemesis is catching up with all the thieves,

I  sorry for Nigerians, only voting the wrong people into power and dreaming things will change.

God forbid bad thing. In a country where people are managing to eat, some others are sitting on millions and billions of naira. My interest is not on who sleeps with who. God is using all these signs to clarify the urgent need for the probe of this most corrupt president and family. My position is that Obasanjo and all his siblings, fans and aides should be probed and our money gotten back for the country. If Yar\'adua is not willing, capable or afraid to do it, then he should immediately resign and pave way for a brave and bold president who has all it takes to repair this broken nation.
Re: Gbenga Obasanjo's Wife Spills The Beans! by chikeze(m): 11:33pm On Jan 16, 2008
Pastor Tunde Bakare predicted that OBJ would \'die\' in office. This prediction is obviously coming to pass. God obviously does not lie when he gave his vision to TB
Today we know that OBJ commits incest by sleeping with his daughter in-law as confirmed by Gbenga and Never denied by Moji.
Unconfirmed reports claimed that OBJ also slept with \'some\' of the women ministers in his goovernment.
OBJ during the PTDF scandal was shown to buy cars for his girlfriends.
A famer was petroleum minister for 8 years.
Billions of dollars spent on Power project and we see more darkness now than before, now we know where all the money has gone. 7. Gbenga imports fuel which is why OBJ never bothered to build the refineries etc, etc, etc. I have said this repeatedly and would continue to say it that the standard by which corruption is measured around the world is Obasanjo.
However, my concern is RIBADU who claimed that OBJ is not the most coorrupt Nigerian, well if OBJ is not then RIBADU is. He like OBJ claimed to be fighting corruption, now we know those that have turned our country into what it is today.
Now we know why Nigeria is the way it is and will continue to be for the foreseeable future until something happens. Finally,
OBJ is dead and of course cannot raise his voice again in this morning without being pelted by stones.
R.I.P. OBJ

must people believe every single story they hear?

Allegations arent proof of something. Gbenga and Moji have made allegations ( Gbenga's are more insidious of course).

Nothing has been proved.

Nemesis has a way of catching up with people. Bible says if you refuse to do what is good when it is in your capacity to do so, it is a sin. People like OBJ sleeping with his daughter in-law has committed a serious abomination. No wonder he could not muster enough courage to make political decisions that would have put the nation on the right path to glory. I admit that OBJ did some good things for the nation but his lack of political will to initiate sound political policies that would have taken Nigeria to the height of glory is not unconnected with his sinful tendencies like the one we are hearing from Gbenga. Who said Gbenga is unstable? Give me a break, there is an element of truth in every story and moreover the woman did not deny having romantic tango with the old man. Not even in her counter affidavit. Come to think of it, OBJ is always the first in every church service, what a hypocrisy. I wonder where the old man get the libido to engage a young woman like his daughter in-law in such breath taking sex game. Anyway me I get erectile dysfunction o, I beg make you guys help me appeal to Oga OBJ make he gif me the thing he dey use make I know come loose my only wife to people like him. I go die o.
